Good morning

I have recently returned to the game after a couple years break, mainly down to starting a family. I’m absolutely loving all the changes and the new content. Gliding is beautiful and amazing! Well done to the developers, the game has matured and grown in an epic fashion!

I’m using my old PC with a couple upgrades – i5 2500, 8GB RAM, SSD and R9270X.

The gam runs on ultra around 50FPS on most content. Last night I introduced my brother to Tequatl the Sunless and my PC fell down big time. This didn’t happen in 2012 so I’m assuming there have been some developmental changes?

If I got a new system would this problem be solved or does everyone have to turn down the settings for Teq?

This is such an interesting question! I believe you’re truly rich when you are just enjoying the game in whatever way you want to play it. I play the game with my family, we just level through PVE and only need gold for weapon/armour upgrades etc. Nothing to fancy, we don’t play raids for example. We periodically start a new character and work through it all again (including jumping). I just dropped below 300g and was looking around my bank/characters for money sources and realised that there is an absolute fortune in crafting materials, we have 100s worth of mystic coins alone.

What’s beautiful about GW2 is that you really can just do what you want and find endless hours of entertainment.

You guys got me thinking about potential investments. It seems that Powerful Venom Sacs don’t have a great deal of use/value at the moment. Do you think they are worth banking in the hope that more recipes/uses come out for them?

Yes you are correct… loads of people over the past few weeks giving one star.

Try not to be too happy. This is VERY damaging to the game and Amazon is not a good place to get bad reviews.

1. It’s called “Wintersday”, and they shouldn’t call it Christmas.

I would love if they added a mini-game in each capital city to help revive populations in those cities. I even came up with basic, race-inspired games for each one…

(Asuran) Dredel with Golems. Four players around a ring… Golems turn into dredels, who have a few attack skills but mostly have to knock each other off the rink (maybe like… 100 feet high or something?)

(Norn) We already get the keg brawl, so maybe just spice it up with an Egg Nog brawl, and holiday related skills, rewards, etc.

(Human) Sled race… like the beetle race from GW1! Those were so much fun.

(Charr) A sort of PvP type of game where each side has to collect candy canes, ornaments, etc. to build this giant snowball cannon and whichever side finishes gets to blow the other side up.

(Sylvari) The tree is turned into a big jumping puzzle with ornaments, etc.

Bad ideas, but meh. =P

5. Christmas Gift from Santa (Random Exotics and a 20 slot Santa sack?)
6. An amazing dungeon like Mad King
7. Fun jumping challenge
8. ZERO one off events
9. ZERO lag issues
10. Happy GW2 players

Feeling pretty frustrated with the game this weekend due to the terrible execution by Anet which is not your fault.

I honestly do believe the swamp is excellent and hope that when more people learn to do it that it becomes more enjoyable for you.

There is a timer in the top right corner.

You are not supposed to kill Mossman or the Drake.

The trips are annoying on purpose.

Enjoy the satisfaction when you get your head around it :P

That is what guildies are for, also people will be leveling alts up and running the dungeon with them.

And an attitude like this will kill the game.

Next year: I am new to the game. I want to do this fractal I’ve heard about. But I’ll never be able to do one because people like you will say: I don’t want to do the lower leveled ones anymore, go find a guild. But, aren’t you in a guild? What if you had a new guild member that wants to do a lvl1? Do you also say: find a guild?

LadyRhonwyn is SPOT ON. This is a sure way to seperate players and bread a load of content and resentment.

I’ve sat in LA trying to get a group for half an hour now but just about everyone wants level 2+ only.

This has cheesed me off big time. Gone are the days when everyone and anyone was welcome in a GW2 PUG. Grrr.. The elitist gremlins are multiplying as I type this.

Should we not reserve judgement until they actually release this new content? If it’s a matter of a couple extra power or vitality it matters not in terns of being able to contribute equally in groups. Lets see what happens, you never know you might actually like it

I was after some help please. I am trying to work out what is a good price to convert a couple gold into gems. Currently for 1g you get 127gems. I think I have seen it between 80-140 per 1g.

Does anyone know what the price is likely to vary between? I understand its about supply and demand however no sure how much it changes.

Mad King Instance – GREAT FUN, please let us do this again next year. The jumping, falling, fearing and farming was amazing!

The jumping is great fun. MK is not hard,… yes the Clock Tower is however its a challenge. Great work I say!

I wasn’t going to bother posting however after reading all the negative feedback I changed my mind :P

This is just my opinion of course…

The Chests – People have spent hard grafted caskittens, you should have thrown in candy, tonics, Halloween crafting materials, or something along those lines so that when people didn’t get skins they still got a Halloween treat.

The Mad King Instance – AMAZING fun. Our guild has been playing it over and over all night. No one got any good loot that I am aware of however we have had a great laugh. The fearing players off of the edge of the instance is 100% evil but so funny.

The Lab – Great fun, running around in massive groups nuking the hell out of everything!

PVP content – Not tried it

The Pages – Done this, did not really float my boat.

Clock Tower – I have put a few hours into this and have not been able to do it. If I don’t do it this year then maybe next. Its fun, hard and challenging. Its GREAT to have content that is HARD and does require work. Please don’t nerf if.

The Skins – They are brilliant, they should remain rare and hard to obtain so that you can feel proud of finding/buying one.

Gem purchased clothing – This REALLY should be able to be worn in combat. No one walks around in their casual clothes. Please consider a rethink on this?

Queensdale content – Great fun. I have really enjoyed doing the Halloween group events.

Decorations – OMG good work!

Halloween achievements – Great, nice and obtainable with a little hard graft! They came as a bonus on top of the fun I’ve been having.

Summary – I really do believe you got the chests wrong, people love the game enough to spend real money, you should love the people enough to reward them when they give you money. Saying this Halloween so far has been so much fun and I am already excited for Christmas/Winter Festival. It is very clear how much hard work has gone into the creation of this event and I believe you have done an exceptional job.
