Previously:
Plinx with full magic find set + food nets about 2 or 3 yellows. Averaged on more than 100 runs.

Now:
Plinx with full magic find set + food nets 0 or 1 yellow. Averaged on 20+ runs. Its just not worth it anymore now.

The issue with champions not dropping loot can also easily be verified. Just let testers run Plinx + Broodmother once or twice.

what goals are available now that I am 80?

Check your achievement tab, and look at everything you haven’t done yet. Start with the things that really appeal to you.

99% world completion

The obvious would be checking all maps for 100% completion, but I assume you have done that already. Same with WvW of course. Do you have all in the Mists?

I had the same issue, but succeeded the second time anyway. I think the important part is that you don’t get into the surface-swimming state (no skillbar) when you try to get up on the land, although I haven’t decently tested that theory.

The real problem here is invisible enemies. Give their algorithms time to match servers properly.

If content loading takes too much time, create a stub until the content has been loaded. I don’t care whether it’s a small floating red cube, floating names, or a basic playermodel. I understand that it takes time to find the best solution here, but a quick fix to get through that period would be much appreciated.

Second, reporting enemies should have a higher priority than reporting friendlies. Not that I don’t want to see my buddies, but I’d rather have an invisible force that helps me out, than an invisible force that kills me. Since friendlies often fill up the allowed number of people to be updated, the entire enemy army may be invisible right until the murdertrain hits you.

Once you hit 100% PvE completion, it is about time to look at some other gameplay mechanics (if you haven’t done so already). This is just a way to get you into WvW, a step that some PvE players would otherwise never take. I regularly dislike PvP, but I think WvW is a nice blend of both PvE and PvP.

By the way: You can still get that 100% map completion achievement. Every 1 week (2 weeks in the future), servers switch locations. In max 6 weeks you’ll have had each side once, allowing you to get all points. Would you have started a bit earlier, that would have been 3 days (daily rotations).

Personal Story Difficulty Unacceptable

Engineer, always a few levels above the required level. I had no problems whatsoever with the difficulty (solo). If the missions tend to be too hard for your level / gear / build, adapt.

I personally think that some of the issues arise because people tend to run with zergs, not really learning how to use their build, crowd control, dodge, etc. Try staying alive soloing a champion, that will teach you the required skills quick enough.

Secondary monitor

I would love to be able to put the worldmap on my secondary monitor while I play on my main one. It would be even better if any ingame window could be dragged there, so it does not clutter the view of the game world. Cleaning up inventory space or checking out the TP is often interrupted by some mob attacking you. Putting all those windows out of view would be really useful.

Suggestion: Timed runs for jumping puzzles

Jumping puzzles are really cool. It is clear that a lot of time and love has gone into them. As a player, I would like to be motivated to do them again and again. Whenever I do a puzzle for a second time, I find myself trying to speedrun it. While it is already fun to pass by another player and show him some dance moves on the way to the top, I think it would add a lot of competition (and fun repetition) to include timers in the jumping puzzles. There could be achievements for a specific fast time per puzzle, or in a grander scale a leaderboard of daily / monthly / friendlist / overall fastest times. I think this would mean more people would spend more time in the jumping puzzles, enjoying the beauty that is.

Timed runs do bring up a some issues. These are the ones I came up with and how they can be resolved:

  1. Problem: There needs to be some sort of start / finish mechanism.
Possible solution: the mechanism could include start / finish zones, or an npc or object that needs to be interacted with to start and stop the time.
  2. Problem: That would mean there is a roadmarker in view at the start of a jumping puzzle, while to goal was to explore and find them yourself.
Possible solution: Hide the markers until the player has finished the puzzle for the first time (no timed run the first time a player does the puzzle).
  3. Problem: The puzzles may not have been designed for timed runs.
Possible solution: Leave the current jumping puzzles as is, but when you start designing new puzzles keep timed runs in mind.
  4. Problem: Different classes have different bonuses they can use, like a higher movement speed, or stealth to bypass enemies. This gives those classes an unfair advantage.
Possible solution: Give players an object they need to carry from start to finish that allows all of them to have a speed bonus and a stealth ability. Possibly disable all other skills of the player.
  5. Problem: Cheaters.
Possible solution: Either find a baseline runtime and ignore anyone that ‘runs’ faster, include waypoints, or make sure other players are not affected (timed runs only for achievements).

Almost any platform game uses timed runs. Super Meat Boy is one of those examples that really motivates you to keep trying to go faster. I hope Guild Wars 2 may include something similar in the future

‘I had 4-5 sticks of butter drop from loot bags. Not cool. If loot bags are now the only method…’

Me too. I consider it cool. This probably means we can buy and sell them at the TP
