Well the first thing I did today was check to see if I could proceed with LS2 on my char… still can’t Knock Out the first guard.
How does one even break something that was working fine? And being that it’s part of LS2 main missions, it’s kind of a big deal. It’s still update day, think you can push for this fix please?
I am having this issue as well. And it started when I purchased the Shared Bag Slots.
- By just pressing “I” for my inventory, the Shared bag slot and Starter pack opens.
- By minimizing the Shared slots, close, then reopen the inventory GUI, ALL bags are minimized.
- By opening the shared slots only, close, then reopen the inventory GUI, it opens the Shared slots and the Starter Pack.
If I open any other bag, close and re-open the inventory GUI, it doesn’t save the last setting and reverts to a minimized form.
I hope to see this fixed soon, it’s getting annoying.
In addition, can you please make the Shared slot bag movable in the bag list, I prefer having the items (such as my salvage bags) in bag slot 4 and not at the top.
Thanks
I really like the shared slots, I would like a few more than the 5 available.
I found the pricing to be a little high, however I noticed everything has been highly priced recently and it makes it even worst for Canadian like myself that pay an additional 30-40% on the dollar.
I would like to see the option to move the shared bag up and down the list of bags to place it where I normally place the items I am putting in it. Usually as Bag 4.
- One problem I have found is that ever sense I added the shared bag to my account, ALL the other bags are shown in my inventory list as minimized. Can you please fix this to keep the bags in the state that they are in when I close my inventory list.
Thanks again for the cool feature!
Tuesday Jan 12 2016 – Seems like the bug with the captain got fixed. It takes up to three previous events for the captain to appear.
Sat Jan 09 2016 – I spent most of my day waiting for the pre event for the Captain to spawn. There was no activity at the sunken ship.
In my post about the Predator III: The Hunter,
I have spent most of my Saturday with a few people keeping an eye out for Captain Wiley’s pirates at the sunken ship to finish my collection for this stage.
The Events aren’t spawning in Lake Gendarr. In addition, the wiki has little to no info
on the captain or the events leading up to him…
So it seems there is a problem is the Assassinate Captain Wiley mission.
Myself and a few others took turns patrolling the east and west side of Lake Gendarr.
The event Prevent Wiley’s pirates from stealing the sunken treasure hasn’t started all day.
Another player told me that he has been at it all week and still the events haven’t started.
Taidha Update
When I logged in just after server day reset, the event for Taidha was underway.
I decided to participate anyways. The one thing I did differently this time around was make sure that I used my greatsword and not my rifle for the last few hits.
This time it unlocked.
In addition, I do the fight against the Skritt Queen in Dry Top EVERYDAY, and for some reason today I (to my surprise) unlocked the Assassinate the Skritt Queen achiv.
I didn’t even know it was one of the Achivs as I am doing them in order.
I didn’t get any updates for the game today, only yesterday, so I am unsure if something got fixed on my end or server end. Time will tell.

So I tried again today to Assassinate Taidha Covington, however no achievement this time either. Unless I am missing something, I would call this mission bugged.
I got the item now, but I don’t know how. I walked around the ruins camouflaged and then I went into it. And suddenly I had the item unlocked.
Yea, that mission just requires you to start by getting turned invisible by the Heart NPC and making your way through the camp to the camp to the other exit, careful though… a char will pop up out of the ground at the end at random.
The spy kit is bought from an agent after defeating the champ hylek in malchor’s leap (under and north of temple of lyssa). The description is just wrong.
Thanks for the info.
IT SURE WOULD HELP IF THE PERSON IN CHARGE OF MAKING THESE QUESTS ACTUALLY DOUBLE CHECKED THEIR WORK! I have a diplomat in Video Game Design and Development, feel free to send me a job offer Anet!
Scout Variloo shows up on the island just north of the boss fight area after defeating the Champ Hylek and Pet. Bought the Kit and it unlocked.
Next issue, “Assassinate Taidha Covington”, I participated in the fight, got the reward, it showed up on my screen as unlocked. However, the icon in my list is still showing as not collected. I restarted my game to make sure it wasn’t just a update issue, but still no change. The Icon that showed up in the reward list was a slanted cog ish icon with Taidha’s picture in it.
I will try the battle again tomorrow to see if it fixes it.
So I finally got to tier 3 for crafting the predator. To be honest, at this point I should have just bought the precursor after spending all this time and money.
Anyways, I am having two issues thus far…
The first being that the Jumping Puzzle in the WvW to get one of the Achivs seems to always be contested. Even with my world server having dominant control of the map.
Secondly, the Spy Kit you buy from Agent Rexx doesn’t show up to be bought after he becomes a merchant at the end of the event to escort him to supply Warden Spy Alarin. The only purchasable item is the Order of Whispers Spy Kit which I have bought a few of and did not unlock the achiv goal.
I will update as I come across further issues.
Man what a bummer. But I do see the point of the instance farming.
I tried to find a post about this, but yet to have found one.
My sister and I both bought Nodes for our Home Instances.
Today, we entered my instance, farmed the nodes and left for her instance.
We found the nodes in her instance the used form.
Aren’t they suppose to be available for harvesting?
We also made sure it was the particular person to start their Home Instance, as well as trying to enter alone.
Please tell me that her spent 50 Laurels and 30 Gold wasn’t a waste!?
I do see the issue with the more common skins… An easy solution however would be that the option is only available with Rare or higher skins. That way common skins like the winters day skins can’t be farmed.
Over time I have unlocked skins and collected skins that are just sitting in my bank because I don’t really want to apply them to anything at this moment. I have bought the max bank slots and still finding myself short on space.
I was wondering if there could be a Black Lion Merchant or something to trade locked/unlocked unused skins into Transmutation Charges to free up some space.
The skins are in themselves just a free credit for a particular skin. It would allow
for more flexibility to the user to have this option.
Maybe even just the option to right click and convert to a charge?
Please and Thank You!
Hey pplz,
I recently got the Mini Wyvern and wasn’t too impressed with the animation.
It’s cute and all that it looks like it’s trying to keep up. However, I expected something a little more animated.
An animation that I would love to see is maybe a little run for speed, then depending on distance, it would try and fly for a short distance before landing (or crash landing/roll) again to run.
Seeing more customized animation for minis would be attracting to mini collectors.
On a side note, as it stands, I have been finding myself passing up on minis in the Gem Store because I find them too expensive for just looks. And it doesn’t help that the exchange rates add another 30%. If minis were 100Gems it would be more attracting.
Thanks.
I started the hunt for The Predator 1: The Experimental Rifle items.
I am at 70% done with mostly Fractal items to go.
There are however certain items that are bugged and aren’t able to be collected.
1. Scarlet’s Prototype Mechanism – I entered Scarlet’s secret hideout in Lornar’s Pass and found the object on the table next to the door (the object that looks like the one in the picture), however you cannot collect it.
2. Asuran Experimental Weapon – I ended up following advice from another player to collect this item by using another character That hasn’t completed the heat yet. But why aren’t the rifles accessible even after the heart being completed?
3. Decrypted Weapon Research – The console in Professor Portmatt’s Lab gives you the ability to access it. However, nothing unlocks. Are we needing to collect another item to decrypt the console?
Was the collection of the items not tested before release?
In addition, I read about the recipes for crafting not being account wide. Why is that? If you spent the time, resources, money and effort to level up the crafting on one char, should that not be shared account wide?
Anyways, I hope that the bugs with the item hunt can be fixed soon. I will update if I should come across any in the fractals.
Thanks
I tried searching for the issues in the forums here, but none discussed the issues I am having from what I looked up.

UPDATE: Found a more active forum post. Will be following there.

I agree with Chukree. The Warior class is borken.. it’s by far the weakest class to use.
My first char and main char is a warrior. I have unlocked everything, have level 80 armor… using a greatsword and rifle build… it seems to no mater what upgrades, mobs skill set or what ever… the warrior class gets out skilled and out dmged by all other classes. Rangers, Mez and guardian seem to have a HUGE advantage in the game…. all three have skills that are by trait unfair… speed, invisibility, ranged, imob and healing.
I am willing to bet that the top players of ANet themselves cannot win with a warrior against any other evenly set up class.
This has to be fixed… either the skill cooldowns/power and conditions for the other classes have to be more restrictive or the warrior class needs a substantial boost.
Well ANet has failed the players yet again.
I found myself left behind yet again in the GW2 gameplay and experience in the recent ONE-TIME EVENT!
Like most ppl that play GW2, I have to earn a paycheck, yep real work in the real world. Others were busy with their normal housekeeping and others were just busy.
As the pre-set date and time of the finale event came and went most of us thought “That’s fine, I’ll catch it in three hours like ANet did for EVERY EVENT PRIOR!
So three hours passed, and nothing… no reset… another three hours, still nothing… at this point there was overflow after overflow of players waiting in the boss area for a rerun of the finale… but nothing came. This was a BIG letdown…
So the people that were at the event were pinging their loot and showing off their stuff while the majority of the players were like outcasts. ANet should be ashamed. They say that they want to provide a top of the line game for the players and want to keep the players happy, but time after time again, the players are let down and left high and dry.
I don’t know who is in charge of the events and workings of the GW2 world, but they should be fired. They have lost touch with the majority of the players. Not everyone can take the time for one moment of any particular day to participate in an event. That’s were instance reset was a big hit in GW1. People can log on at their own free time and still have the fun and experience that all the other player have had.
But at the current rate the players feel more like the people waiting in a long line out in the cold for the next IPhone or what have you, just to be told on release time that there are only ten to be sold.
THE ICING ON THE CAKE is that my friends who I invited to play and participate in the event, were left with the impression that GW2 was an “Only for Elite Players” game. Basically people who have no lives and just spend all their time online, leeching off welfare or their parents. (Not to be confused by the disabled that actually need these services.)
So what is the point of the events if only a select few can participate? The ANet programmers seem to be pretty bad at their programming, it seems that every event, crashes, LAG, new builds and glitchy mini events, seem to dominate the game. It’s almost like the rushed release of Windows Vista.
The servers are starting to get annoying too, I happen to be in an “Overflow” on day two for the offensive against the Karka. IT took over an hour for the game to finally move on and catch up with the main servers. ANet apparently tweeted that they were spreading the load, but the fact here is that the current servers being used are inadequate for the current player load. You would think that with the amount of cash that anet is making on selling BL Keys and other stuff that they would expand or upgrade the service.
The bottom line here is that ANet needs to wake up and start addressing the obvious issues. Listen to the players and fix the problems. Things like the Cost of the Black Lion Trading Items need to be lowered. Whne you have Millions of BLchests for sale and everyone complaining that the keys are too expensive, it should be apparent that an adjustment needs to be done. 5 Gems per Key maybe!?!? That would balance things out. Just Saying.
Just wondering why the Picks, Axes and Sickles are character bound… I ended up putting the lower grade ones in my bank to transfer to my other chars to then find out I can’t…. I can’t even sell the kitten things!!! This NEEDS TO BE CHANGED!!!
At least make it tradeable from char to char and possibly sellable to the merchant if unwanted.
As I have been scouting the forums about the BLKeys, I found that there are alot of ppl feeling cheated and some ppl are just down right again’t the fact that you need to buy BLKeys to open the BLChests.
I understand this is a method of making the extra bucks to keep the game going and paying for expences… but I am starting to see what the players are talking about.
If you take a look at the Trading Post. You will find that ppl are more than willing to sell their BLChests than to spend the coin or use real cash to buy the BLkeys.
ANet needs to seriously look at their situation with the keys. Here are a few suggestions that might make things more favorable for both ANet and the players.
1. Make the Keys more common in drops… like for event boss drops in the field. This will attract the players to actually fight bosses and not just pass them buy.
2. Make the cost of the keys cheeper and/or give more for their buck. For example, currently you can buy 1 key for 125 Gems, which is roughly ($1 USD per 80 gems) $1.50 USD for a Key. Now this is pretty expensive for ppl using in game coin AND for ppl buying gems. This is a market variable that should be looked at. If the price was adjusted to lets say 0.10 Cents USD for 250 Keys it would cost $25 USD. Which means more ppl can afford the keys and will be willing to spend the money to buy them. So it would cost 8 gems to buy a key. This allows for a trickle factor as well, many players I have talked to have an amount of gems remaining in their accounts averaging 100 gems. This price will make the player feel better about converting their coin to gems and/or buying using real cash.
So as stated above, the current state of the game when it come to the BLChests is that there is an overwelming surplus in the trading post. This is a clear reflection of the unwilling participation of the players to purchase the BLKeys. This is in fact a clear indication of loss of profit for ANet. They are missing out on attackting potential customers due to under rewarding product (chests) and overpriced product (Keys).
On a side note, the Black Lion Trading Post is generaly overpriced. Especially when it comes to consumables. The players (including myself) feel cheated and that it isn’t worth spending the gems on something with one time or limited use items.
Personaly, I think the marketting department lost touch with the individual players and their target audience. As common as the working person that earns a decent pay at the end of the week is willing to spend a few bucks on getting items in the BLTP, the lower class (students and part time workers) are the top active players in the game. This class of players can’t afford the services in the BLTP, and to get enough coin to buy gems to then buy the items, they must GRIND, SLOWLY SAVE enough coin to buy a few gems. This is discouraging to the players.
A player likes to be rewarded for their work, they like to think that it was worth it.
As is right now, it DOSEN’T feel rewarding, it DOSEN’T seem worth it.
As a final note, here are some price adjustment suggestions for items in the BLTP.
- Key = 8 Gems
- Cow Finisher = 10 Gems
- Dye Pack = 30 Gems
- Box o’ Fun = 50 Gems
- MF Stone = 5/50 Gems
- Merchant Express + Bank + Trader + Repair = 15 Gems each…. for one time use they ARE WAAAAAAAAAAAY OVERPRICED!
- Revive orb 10 Gems***
- Boosts in general should all be set to 10 Gems (50 GEMS FOR A COMPLET SET PACK)
- Styles are a tad high… they are unlimited use which is nice… but they are not so attracting at 500 gems or higher… 300 common and 500 special would be more attracting.
I hope this will be taken under review and serious thought.
I am wondering why the portals on the maps aren’t marked with the names of where to go.
For example… you MUST GET CLOSE TO ANY ONE GATE TO READ THE TRAVEL POINT. Why hasn’t the map icons (Purple Swirls) that represent the gates been given names to describe their outgoing location.
The waypoints in the game all have unique names… this makes it easy to tag and advise to where you are or plan to meet or go.
The same should be for the Asura games… when you hover over the icons it should say
Gate to Divinity’s Reach, Gate to Black Citadel, Gate to etc….
In addition, the names should show up fron a distance… for example when standing in the middle of the hub in LA… you should be able to look around and see the name on the gates.
That is all.
