This is so ignorant,

It’s still my opinion. If I invested in gear, I like to see it pay off, especially in contrast to other players whom don’t/barely bother to make that investment. On a ranger to ranger comparison, I feel this is appropriate.

In a world where your Magi ascended gear costs more to obtain than zerk ascended gear you would be correct.

RIP if you wasted money on zealots though as it sounds like that set is going to be the worst of both worlds.

Ranger is the only class whose Power stat scales with Healing Power by way of Instinctive Reaction, so Zealot is far from a waste. There’s also a very good chance anyone that had Zealot’s gear will see a net gain in their healing as a result of the patch (see “healing power contribution will be enhanced significantly”). Less then optimal damage and healing, sure… but still high compared to most sets.

Zealot’s is your friend. I’ve yet to find a more synergistic set for Druid. This is what I’m currently running for WvW:

With this build, you and your pet are zerg-worthy. You both hit hard and can survive a zerg push. Two-Handed Training / Remorseless combo (Fury -> Opening Strike -> 100% crit) is crucial for steady damage and condition clearing due to sigils.

I passed on Resounding Timbre since I don’t rely on shouts for condi clears and Glyph of Unity / Signet of Stone combo decimates enemy zerg push. You can also go Nature Magic for extra defense and power (less effective power, though).

I use Passion Fruit Tapioca here, but you can take Bowl of Seaweed Salad for more effective power and a little less healing. Played well, this build rocks.

It’s comical, at this point. A change this significant and we only find out through people noticing it in-game. This, AF being significantly harder to accumulate, and lack of zealot amulet tells me that someone does not want ranger/druid to have nice things.

These are excellent changes, though I hope there are no major nerfs you’re keeping from us until the 23rd. Celestial Avatar is now balanced for different playstyles and will reward players for investing in healing power. The only thing I would ask is you consider adding some stability when entering CA, even if for a short duration. Personally, I wouldn’t mind additional cooldown if you can offer 3 stacks/3 seconds of stability on entering CA.

Nah, let’s be self-defeating now while we know nothing about upcoming changes to Druid. Also, let’s “balance” in a vacuum and ignore stun combos available to other classes. Finally, suggest nothing to offset such a nerf as we definitely don’t need to shake up the meta a little.

I’m also concerned about Druid’s viability in PvP if you’re going to drastically lower base healing. The amulets that currently include Healing Power are all tanky variations… none offer true offensive power as the Healing is always paired with another defensive stat.

If you’re going this route, then you should really consider making a push for the inclusion of Zealot amulet in PvP. This one change would justify any nerf to base healing you want from a PvP perspective. A glass Druid with the ability to burst heal is not as invulnerable as you might think. All it takes is a single determined player to take you down… nevermind if you get focused by more.

So incredibly frustrating. Like, if this is so broken that it needs a dev tweet the day after release, how could they have missed it when designing the change? Constant knee-jerk reactions when it comes to Ranger. Get it together already. Trust your own designers rather than a bunch of salty teenagers on a forum that represent a fraction of your playerbase.

Completely agree with having both zealot and sinister in pvp.
There should be no problem with adding any double+ offensive stat based amulet

Can’t imagine who’d actually want dire, but yeah… no. Zealot is sort of a requirement if they want us to be able to give meaningful feedback for Druid, however. The other options are just too tanky and won’t let us be as effective as possible. Please consider Zealot (and perhaps Sinister) for PvP.

Please allow Druids (and other classes) to test the full range of possible builds in PvP by enabling the Zealot amulet for BWE3. Most of the testing you’ll see with actual, relevant feedback will come from HotM, and many of these players don’t have zealot armor in open world. I’d also like to see Sinister. Both of these have obvious strengths, but are incredibly vulnerable even in the current meta. Allow us to test and determine whether these amulets are suitable for PvP for the weekend, then decide whether to implement them in HoT.

Of all the things that need fixing in this game. Who cares that it was previously shown with 30 sec ICD? What exactly is overpowered about having access to Call of the Wild on pet swap? The boons it gives are absolutely paltry and other classes have access to blast finishers galore. So what is it? For all the harping they’ve done about “synergy”, why ruin our ability to use this trait in a controlled manner? Why don’t Runes of the Pack proc Call of the Wild (which it is obviously meant to)? I mean… get it together, balance team. Stop your infatuation with taking everything useful away from this class in particular.

I’m ambivalent, though not surprised to see Guardian essentially turned into what Ranger should/could have been. I’m also concerned Ranger’s specialization will not be nearly as compelling or synergistic. Our base traits pale in comparison and we still offer no team support, with crippled spirits being our last hope (unless Druid is made into a support spec, which I’d rather it didn’t). We’ll have to wait and see… but having played Ranger nearly exclusively for 3 years, I know to keep my expectations low.

This really should be properly fixed. The issue previously was with the audio endlessly looping while unsheathed, not its particle effect and moon graphic. You now have exotics that have more visual flair than a legendary warhorn. Just do what is right and fix this, please. There really is no reason to antagonize people that have worked hard to make this weapon, but that is exactly what you’re doing by ignoring the issue.

Why exactly do they add the weapon to wardrobe and not include it in-game at the same time? The pessimist in me says they’re showcasing the item to generate demand before releasing in gem shop, but I’m not sure. Can we get some info from staff on this item? How long do I have to preview the weapon without being able to acquire it? Next release, perhaps?

If people who got their tickets should “grow up” and wait it out with the rest of you, why can’t you in turn “grow up” and let people have their hard-earned prize while you put all of your mature trust in Anet to fix this asap?

Solution: render existing tickets null; create a new (equivalent) currency and re-issue them to players with a fixed algorithm. You do not want to roll back.

Genius idea… release a new currency people worked their kitten off for 9 weeks to earn on a Friday, and make it worthless until the following Tuesday. Of course, notify only the minority of people that visit these kitten WvW forums. Way to inspire the player base. You continue to baffle.

Great design on the new hammer Entropy, however it appears to hang lower on your back when stowed than its counterpart, Genesis. This results in some pretty bad clipping issues with shoulder armor, especially on a Norn. I’ve included an image for comparison. Please adjust the position of Entropy when stowed to match that of Genesis.

I recently opened a ticket [Incident: 130707-002459], which was promptly handled by your support team, however while trying to respond to thank the agent I noticed that I’m no longer able to access the support account. I had the password stored in my browser, so I’m certain it did not change. I also wrote it down so I know I didn’t enter it incorrectly. This happened immediately after having the case handled, so I’m wondering if they somehow accidentally (?) disabled my account. Can someone look into this as I’d rather not open a new support account just to restore my original. Thank you.

Potential leak of 6/25 changes

Mixed feelings on this… I like what I see for the most part, but Spectral Wall gets a pretty massive nerf if this leak is accurate. The 2 seconds of protection is nice, but trading 10 stacks of vulnerability for a 1 sec fear is pretty drastic IMO. Highly underrated skill as it is currently.

I’m thinking this is a bug and not some intentional targeting mechanic, as this whole thing is new to me and I’ve been playing since launch. Until recently I was a mostly PvE player but have started getting into more WvW with my guild. I played several hours last night and noticed this issue towards the end of my session. It’s since carried over into PvE and I know for certain it wasn’t like this before. ArenaNet really needs to fix this because the game has just gotten way more frustrating and I can’t really see myself playing with this issue much longer. I don’t know how some of you guys have lasted this long.

Willing to bet damage taken to HP ratio is lowest for Rangers, which is why they’re so stingy with the buffs. Guess we just have to resign ourselves to the fact that Ranger is a hit and run/support class and will never pose a real threat to the other classes (imo “balance” is most important in wvw/pve). I’ll stick with it as my main… but this is getting discouraging.

Bump… this really does need to be fixed. As is, the dyes are completely different for Profane armor and don’t represent the colors as you display them in the Trading Post. I also consider this a bug and ask that it be fixed… the difference is that significant.

Purchased from Crucible of Eternity dungeon vendor (Peacemaker Skrimm) in Lion’s Arch using Knowledge Crystals.

Additional information:

This only seems to affect the right upper-thigh portion of the legguards. The left leg does not have this clipping effect.
I’ve seen other players wear this armor without the clipping, but notice they are always smaller than my character. For reference, I chose the tallest and most muscular body settings for my human. Despite that, I think this should be fixed as the armor should scale properly for all body types (and I also worked hard to get that armor). It’s a great looking set and I hate to have this clipping stand out so much.

I just can’t fathom why Anet insists on making Guardians gameplay experience so frustrating… nerf after nerf with mediocre “buffs” to make up for it. As if this wasn’t enough, they go and arbitrarily (give me a break, people had combo finishers figured out by now) change the GS skills layout. It’s obvious they don’t like whatever numbers they’re looking at DPS-wise for Guardians, so they resort to this type of nonsense to “balance”. I won’t be able to take much more of these changes based on making gameplay intentionally frustrating, not challenging. Keep it up and see how many people stick around to see how “balanced” the game ends up.

I’m also experiencing the same issue, though I haven’t tried deleting mail to receive new ones. I also have the constant mail alert sound. This has been going on for nearly a week and Support sent me an email saying they are aware of the issue, though it is never addressed in their status updates on the wiki.
