Why is there a destroyer crab in the room?

Thank-you for the story! I tried once, won some gold and ectos and was going to try again and then forced myself to go for a walk and have a coffee and think about it. I figured if my luck with the mystic forge was always super bad, why would it be different here? I didn’t try again, it looks like I did the right thing

The Ascended and Cultural collections are way out of my price range. But the Koutalophile is easy and budget friendly.

The only spoon you buy without Karma is Imperial Chef Yileng’s Golden Spoon, which depending on how you buy it will cost 10g max, the wiki has a price list.

The three reward spoons: I got the fractal spoon on a level 7 fractal (my friend got it on the level 2 fractal after only ever doing 2 fractals in his life). While I was at the Cliffside fractal, I did the “bow” achievement for another CT point, which is just doing the /bow emote at the end of the fractal.

I can’t remember when I got the WvW spoon, I’ve only played 20 minutes of the game mode, so I think it’s not too difficult if you run with a zerg for a bit.

I do Triple Trouble once or twice a week with one of my guilds. If you go to the map 10-15 mins before the event starts you might see some map chat inviting people to join the squad.

I’ve also seen LFGs for SW events, especially when it’s the daily, that might help to get a legend spawn.

I need 1 point before I’ve unlocked all the central masteries, the list to chose from is pretty small (I’ve done LS2 including Luminescent armour). I only have expensive collections and fractal achievements now. I think I’ll check some guides and try to do one of the easy fractal ones.

It might bring back the pressure for rep requirements. I like that it’s now really only something a guild asks during official guild activities.

There’s a few posts blaming ZenDesk. I wouldn’t blame ZenDesk, it’s a customer service platform (like WordPress is to websites) not a service provider. More than likely it’s a breakdown in the understanding of the standard operating procedure for these ticket types. I’m sure Anet is having some strong words with the service provider.

I tried to stealth glide to get away from it, but it doesn’t seem to work.

Is it possible to make the vendor sell one Gift of Battle, then require that any additional gifts are obtained from the reward track?

I’m making a list of things I still need for Nevermore. I wish I knew about this sooner, I have the badges ready.

People are right about the patch notes, I skim past the WvW section because it doesn’t apply to the way I play. I just need one gift of battle, If I ever make a second legendary I will feel OK about needing to do WvW because I will know before I start.

I have the node, I’m drinking 5 or so drinks a week. So far I’m at 60. At 6 to 9 silver per drink, I’m going to wait for Wintersday 2016 before I try to finish the achievement.

I’ve had the same thing. I do a bit of gathering and map exploration and keep an eye on LFG to taxi into a map that has more players. Keep trying. I really enjoyed Dragon’s Stand

I’m keen to try it out. I was using it in PvE for times when people run into an area I can’t save them from. It was really good for saving people who didn’t have poison training in HoT. I’ve also used it non-stop for events like the Shatterer and the Blighting Towers. The longer cooldown may make it a bit less useful for me.

I think it’s good. I can save a bit faster for the T3 cultural armour sets. As another person wrote, festivals like SAB and other non-TP items will sink some of the gold.

I enjoy unlocking items and skins through challenges, like the luminescent armour in Living World 2. That’s why I was initially interested in the HoT legendaries. I knew they would require a fair amount of materials, but once I saw the list, it’s not worth the investment. I’d rather sell the extra materials and use the money to buy a few things from the TP, rather than sinking almost every material I have (and more) to create one legendary. (edit: English)

As others have said, craft one. You will get some levels from that and you can make some nice bows. If you haven’t done crafting before, there’s some guides online that will help you get the most progression for your materials.

It looks like we have the same play style. Do you know of any crafting guilds? I’m in a guild currently, but I find I’m always off stuffing my pockets with rocks while they’re doing fractals.

I’ve been doing a few boss trains to try out the support of Druid. I really enjoy the new find and rescue. I’ll select it only for events as it’s not particularly useful when I’m on a low population map.

I have Staff and Longbow. I love the mobility I get with staff, combined with gliding I can harvest an area much faster than I was previously.

I just wish that people were more aware of the druids skills. I have so many people dodge out of the way of my seeds because they look like an attack.

In the Winters Day mission “Warming Grawnk’s Heart” – Every day Grawnk wants a Bowl of Bloodstone Broth and won’t progress to the next part of the mission. It’s been happening before and after the patch. I’ve given him 4 bowls of bloodstone broth. :-(

I love the updated “Search and Rescue” for Ranger. It’s actually useful now! I can res people without my pet getting lost, or putting myself in the path of danger. Combined with Druid abilities and having healing count towards participation, I’m happy with the update

It’s annoying when there’s people purposefully AFK (if there’s anything to gain from it, I’m not sure if there is) It was particularly annoying at Amber Sandfall in the Silverwastes, but I realized all my time getting annoyed was time I could have been using to enjoy playing with everyone else. Now I just ignore the AFKs and put all my energy into the events and helping people who are interested in playing the map. We hit Verdant Brink T4 day/night twice yesterday and had a number of AFKs, it didn’t stop us.

When is a good time to get a decent map? I’m keen to get the bladed armour chest piece.

So far (with my limited play time), I think Verdant Brink has a similar feel to the Silverwastes, but the Silverwastes can get a good taxi going once a few keeps are held. If Verdant Brink starts to slow down the timer makes it difficult to turn things around, then people start to leave the map looking for a better one (or leave once they get hero points).

As for mob difficulty, yeah it’s a challenge, but I think I’m better at playing my class after defending a few things solo. More dodge and defensive and less run and smash.

On the topic of the maps feeling a bit empty, I think that the lack of players may get a bit better after Halloween is over. I have HoT and haven’t played much more than 10 minutes of content because I’m doing the Halloween events. There also has to be some Revs who are playing though the content from level 1 – 80, give them a few weeks to catch up. After that, you will get the people who want to join their guilds in the new zones. I think it’s going to be ok

We met some new friends and had a warm up dance before the event started.

I have two rangers, Viola and Cirilaa.

The Sylvari is Viola, the very first character I made over two and a half years ago. She was green with short hair (foliage?) back then. For some reason or another, I only played a day of GW2 when I purchased it, then took a really long break and picked it up again two years later! When I returned, I made a human Ranger (Cirilaa) and Viola stayed at level 6 gathering birthday presents while Cirilaa and I leveled to 80 (since then I’ve learned much more about GW2, found a great guild and play almost every day).

With HoT and the Druid specialization, Viola is getting out there again. We started with a total makeover and a new dress. I love that the wedding outfit is barefoot, I think it works really well for a dreamy nature girl. I hope we get to see some news on Druids soon!

Not that I don’t appreciate free stuff… but why does this outfit have to be so darn ugly? I can’t even tell that my character is female in this armor! Thanks for nothing (because I’ll never wear it), I guess.

I’m rejoicing that females get a full coverage functional set of plate. And I can still tell gender on them thanks to stance, animation, slimmer waists (and on Charr, of course, there is the tail).

I think it’s gorgeous and it’s going to be RP sets for quite a few of my alts of either gender.

Exactly, I love how the set is plate, it suits my character well. You can still tell I’m a woman, my extremely pretty Sylvari twig and flower hair finishes the outfit nicely. I have the outfit on a Ranger, which is a welcome change from oversized coats and frumpy boots. It’s not the armour, it’s how you dye it. Thank you to the person who designed it, you can tell there’s lots of attention to detail :)

I’m glad it’s not just me! I’ve been laughing every time I use the Warhorn, especially since I use it to give a speed boost to my team mates. Run up behind them then, frrrrrrrrrrtttttt. lol.

I had the same thing, so I made a check list of the things I want to do/collect and formed a guild of people who want to do the same things. It’s much better now.

I also played the Beta for HoT, I spent most of the time dead on the ground if I wasn’t playing near people who could help fight things. I’m really looking forward to the full release. From first impressions, it has the teamwork aspect of the Silverwastes without the loot grab of the shovel runs, which kind of kills the teamwork and fun when a map is chest runs only.

I played for an entire day since the announcement of the free accounts and not once have I seen a newbie player acting crazy, the TP hasn’t exploded and everything seems to be business as usual. Actually, more of my low level items have sold because I guess there’s a growing market for items lower than level 50. That’s good

This is great! I’ve mainly been playing a Ranger and I’m finding it a challenge to adapt to the quirks of the Mesmer. I love it, even if I die 100% more than before, it’s so much fun.
