I really love the idea of the legendary journey. I love the idea to work for something that I really want, but, now that we have that great idea of the journey, that show us a little story of that weapon maybe? Make us beat all the hell that you can throw at us in the game, painful raids, impossible meta events, a really large and fun collection to complete, achievements through all the world and then reduce the amount of materials, I know, is crafting a weapon, just be more reasonable with the craft part and the gold that we have to invest in exchange.

Casuals will choose to collect gold in every way they can to buy it. Me, even if I had the money to buy it, I’ll always choose the journey, but just if is reasonable, now is almost impossible mainly for the craft part that I don’t enjoy very much.

Just remember, a legendary is not something that you really need. Is more a symbol of your time and effort invested in the game or that you are a successful person in real life capable of pay a lot of money and use it for gold in the game.

Doing the journey, crafting by yourself or buying it in the market, is doesn’t matter, you have to put effort in something, in one way or another to complete it. Just please Anet, we love the game, there’s a lot of things to do beside the legendary for us to stay, don’t give us for free the legendary, make us PLAY the game to get it, no just transform us into chinese farmers.

So, now, you are telling me that Living Story is not core game? That living story is something extra that they generously give to us after we bought the game? Are you really reading your post before send it here? ? You are telling me that every patch, every update is a favor to us, that I paid a game that have ONE PAYMENT ONLY SYSTEM for just a PART OF THAT GAME?

YOU ARE DEAD WRONG!! This is not how Arenanet merchandise this game, and this is why living story is not at EXTRA ITEM that I have to pay for play. The game and every little update that they made to the game is already in the cost of the game, EVERYTHING, even more if we’re talking about an update that have a big and important part of the story that I’ve paid for, I didn’t pay for a little chapter, I bought the whole game, story included. Then, they can add all the cosmetic stuff to the gemstore, the way it should be.

Now, you’re right in ONE thing, is their game, they can choose what to do, to establish what is and what is not a gemstore item, but please, don’t be so naive. The story is PART OF THE GAME, even if it is an update going live later on the release.Is infinitely ridiculous just to think that and even come here and put that answer.

Yeah, is cheap, I can make 10000 times that money in a month. My point here is that the Story shouldn’t be a item for gemstore and the price of the game (bought 2 times in my case) has covered all updates about the story and every update that is not an expansion. Is my opinion, based in the politics of arenanet and the merchandise that they did with this game, not based in facts like the price or anything.

Without constant updates like those, the game will die, is a way to maintain the game alive, is for their own sake and of course, we enjoy that and stay longer. Is a two way beneficial strategy. Is not just a FAVOR to us, lol!.

This post is asking for free Season 2, is not about asking a refund for the core game become free, maybe should start another post. Let’s try to stay on track about what we’re talking here.

I ‘ve paid for the core game in 2012 to have FULL ACCES to ALL ITS CONTENT. Now I’ve paid for an Expansion Pack to have FULL ACESS to ALL ITS CONTENT. But after all that money I’ve already pay, I don’t have that FULL ACCESS, because now I have to PAY MORE to have ALL THE CONTENT.

The gem store is suppose to be for extra stuff, cosmetics. Season 2 is not like a skin, is not something that is doesn’t matter if you don’t have. IS THE F****** MAIN STORY of the game. Even more, is the final chapter of the the core game that I BOUGHT and the direct connection, the first part of the story of the Expansion that I also BOUGHT.

It doesn’t matter if I logged on or not when this was happening. The great diary system that is a really good feature, a fantastic way to grant access to the players to play that content even if the time when that was happening has ended long ago, but no this way, this is not a item for the gemstore. I’ve already made the proper payment for this.

I took my money and put in their pockets to have access to all the content and that is enough to give me the right to play that content whenever I want to play it. PERIOD.

Is this something too hard to understand?

This can’t be compare it to the seasons festivals. This is the MAIN STORY OF THE GAME. So, is good for you to start playing in 2015 and notice that the first part of you personal story is not available for free because was free just in 2012 when the launch of the game? This is, in a nutshell, what the defenders of charge money for the season 2 are saying here.

Nobody get a refund for the base game buying the expansion xD.

Maybe, at the moment, it was a way to motivate people to participate in the Living Story as it was happening to make it free for those who log in at the right moment but charge gems for those who don’t, BUT, right now, we have a lot of new players that weren’t playing at that moment and they can’t see Season 1 because is not available yet and the Season 2 is there, but with gems. I think this is unfair.

Yes, I know, is not very expensive, but, common, is like charging for a mini mini expansion or for dungeons. I think all gems stuff deserve to be gems stuff, but the story itself? I think that is unnecesary, so, please , can you unlock the Season 2 for free? (insert here a picture of the cat from Shrek).

The whole HoT story feels like it went by a little too fast, yes, but you have to consider nearly the entirety of Living Story thus far has been dealing with Mordremoth. Outside the Southsun happenings, Season 1 was about Mordremoth influencing a sylvari into awakening him early, Season 2 involved his rise, his immediate actions upon the world and the main characters starting to mobilize against him

HoT is us finally off to facing him in his own tuf before things get even worse than they already are. It’s the culmination of the last couple years of story. That we would fight and very possibly kill Mordremoth once and for all was something a lot of people predicted and should’ve seen coming

Not saying that you shouldn’t be disappointed, because you got a point with all the speeding along and hanging plot threads, but some of you are reading too hard into this. Just accept we did actually kill Mordremoth, just like how the game goes out of its way to prove that yes we did kill Zhaitan despite all the speculation

Besides, LS3 is definitely coming, so whatever happens just wait and see

Yea, well, that’s good and everything but there’s something no too “friendly” about that. I have some friends that are new playing gw2 and they are interested in the story, but they are mad because they can’t play it completely right now. There’s no way to play Season 1 and I don’t know why, they are selling season 2.

Maybe at that time it has some sense, but right now, they should just unlock all the chapters so new players and old ones that don’t have them, can play that important part of the story, story that, is like you said, part of the story of this expansion, expansion that is a FAST conclusion of a story that was in development through this years (still waiting to be able to play season 1). I mean, I know they have to make money, but, charge for play the story? Help us with this Arenanet please.

So, Scarlet, a mere living form and a puppet, a minion, makes a war that last for 1 or 2 years in real time, and this Elder so Powerful dragon, the real deal, the Big Boss, just struggle for a week? Seriously I need more of Mordremoth, we deserve this or the whole Heart of Thorns tittle lose all the sense. Maybe too early to complain? The time will tell then….I was having fun with the story, is a shame that “ended” this way.
