Only Warrs and Guards? Heavy armor thread

The problem here isn’t that Warrior or Guardian are so much better than other classes, it’s that they’re so much -easier- than the others. You can look up build after build of videos on youtube of people playing any other profession, and I guarantee it’ll make you jealous of how good they look.

@Lord Kreegan:
“10%-15% better armor protection, someone said? BS. My warrior can stand toe-to-toe with most mobs and take little to no damage in the period of time that the medium ad lightly armored classes would be demolished… and does as much damage to the mobs during those encounters as the heavier more-DPS oriented classes do.”

You do realize Warrior is capable of 1-shotting anyone in WvW, right? 21k+ Hundred Blades? And I’ve seen many people break 30k. Warriors do some of the heaviest damage in the game, with Thief being the only other thing I’ve seen that can stay up with them. If we were to call anything about the Soldier classes (And this has nothing to do with Guardian) OP, this would be it.

My nightly runs usually consist of at least 1 full clear of AC (so that’s path 1-3), 2 paths of TA, and at least 1 CM and/or HotW run. This is nightly. In more than 3 days, I have not received a SINGLE rare/exotic item from chests or bosses. My another friend who runs with me has had it almost exactly as bad as I have.

As for wintersday presents, I’ve cracked open no less than 400, and have received almost exclusively “Ugly wool _” items. I have gotten less than 20 snowflakes in total, and roughly 5 weapon skins.

I was trying to farm air elementals in Orr yesterday for almost an hour straight. I received 2 greens, a handful of blues, and the rest was vendor trash. No rares, no exotics, no Charged cores/lodestones. Nothing to warrant the time invested.

Level up animation intefering with combat

Just to clarify, I don’t think anyone is asking that the level up animation stops doing (For the most part) what it does, just that it stops interrupting what your character is doing. Sorry, but I’d much rather NOT have my elite interrupted just because I got another skill point.

I’ve actually had this happen SEVERAL times on my Thief, while using Dagger storm, which cancels the skill. This is my elite, and it puts it on cooldown (and almost everytime, I’ve only just started channeling the skill). This puts me in a very sour mood as it’s just killed my DPS on a large group of mobs for the next 7 seconds or so. =/

Color slots on T3 Cultural Armor

I whole heartedly agree. While I have 5 characters, I play my Guardian and Thief almost exclusively, and I hated while leveling up, when I would get a new piece of gear that always looked like it would have 3-4 different dye areas, it’d end up having only 1. I bought then entire Human T3 Cultural Heavy Armor for my Guardian, and I’m actually both very disappointed and angry that nearly all pieces are only 1-2 dye selections. What’s worse is that the majority of the armor looks like it’d have several spots to dye! The shoulders are one color, + the cloth hanging, which is terrible. The ‘wing’ motif on the armor should be a separate dye area compared to the rest of the armor. I’d really love to see armors looked into again to be reworked better, but unfortunately, I don’t think it’ll ever happen.
