“Fixed a bug that allowed gw2 to prosper as an esports”
There I corrected their typo.
Hi, the follow list is what I propose should be done to fractals to make them more rewarding/engaging, I’ll try to keep it as clean as possible and explain why X change would be good for the game, let’s start:
- Scrap the current Fractal Instability System in favor of a “Gambit” system.
– Most current instabilities don’t really had nothing new to the encounters and tend to generally just make them really annoying and frustrating and punish you for being skilled ( Lose boons on dodge ), this should never be the case, so instead you should use the “Gambit” system that you used on the special encounters during crowds pavillion, wich would allow a certain party to choose wich “instabilities” they’d wanna deal with, thus making the process less painfull.
- Link the Gambit system to the amount of rewards you get.
– To compliment this system you can make gambits not a requirement in case people only want to do their dailies, but the more gambits you have at one time, the better the rewards in the end will be, example: if you do lvl 25 fractal with 0 gambits you’d get 2 boxes, but, if you did it with 2 gambits, you’d get 3-4 boxes + guaranteed encription keys+50% mf boost (25%per gambit).
- Tie Gambit system to fractal lvl
– To further enhance this gambit system, you should tie the number of gambits you can do at one time with the lvl of the fractal.
1-24 would have 1 max gambit
25-49 would have a max of 2
50-74 a max of 3
75-100 a max of 4
- Improve the base rewards of hard fractals, and lower the rewards on “Quick and easy” fractals
– This one is pretty simple but hard to acomplish since millage may vary on what some people consider hard/long or not, but the rewards you get in say Swamp fractal, shudn’t be as good as the ones in a harder and longer fractal like Colossus, wich would increase the array of choice of fractals that people do, because no matter wich one you did, the reward would equal the effot. Here’s a list of the fractals I think are hard/long , medium and easy difficulty.
Hard:
– Snowblind Fractal
- Volcanic Fractal
- Thaumanova Reactor Fractal
- Cliffside Fractal
- Uncategorized Fractal
Medium:
- Urban Battleground Fractal
- Aetherblade Fractal
- Captain Mai Trin Boss Fractal
- Molten Furnace Fractal
- Underground Facility Fractal
Easy:
- Molten Boss Fractal
- Swampland Fractal
- Solid Ocean Fractal
- Add mechanics the higher lvl the fractal is
– This could be as simple as say: Fire Shaman from Volcanic Fractal will also apply cripple, or, something more complex like: Now casts Meteor Storm on X condition. This would greatly improve how much we enjoy the encounters and would instill a sense of progression, rather than an arbitrary increase in health and “tankyness”.
- Infusions system should be taken a look at
– While I agree that the impact of improving infusions would probably break some encounters I belive that the current amount of money needed to make a single +5 infusion is a bit absurd, I suggest that after fractal lvl 75, instead of +1 infusions you could have a chance at a +5 tradeable infusion, this way you’d keep the “prestige” in having said infusions, but allow people who aren’t really interested in spending hundreds of gold on them to have at least a chance at getting one. Also more “vanity” infusions like the ghostly ones you get from raids, but with a “fractal” touch would be a nice addition and goal for people to work towards.
That’s it for now, I aprecciate any feedback you may have towards said suggestion or even post your own, I really want fractals to have a place in the game and for them to be improved on, but it will only happen with input from the community. Cheers
Hi, i’m interested in joining your guild, im online almost everyday, and will be on more after this tuesday, add me in game
Hi, I wanna start by saying that I have been playing this game on and off for the past 2 years, and spent most of my time online during the past 8months since the expac announcement and would just wanna state my opinions about the expac and why the game is no longer fun to play for me atm.
Pros:
- Raids are great and fun to play
- I love the 4 new maps, with Auric basin and Tangled Depths being special to me
-New “specialization collections” are quite cool and make you feel like you’re working towards a goal.
And unfortunatly, that is the only positive things i got to say about this expac.
Cons:
- Some masteries feel outright useless ( auric mastery, adrenal mastery feels underused, etc)
- There is too much time gating on the new maps, they should work more like silverwastes does in my opinion, wich would also make it easier to join sucessfull maps.
-LFG needs to get better, atm is just a mess of people wanting to pve, raid or do other things, maybe make it more in line with how other games do it, since you just join the party anyway and dont really talk before joining.
-PVP is just dumb now unless you playing with a full premade of friends, like seriously, why am i getting in matches with people who just rush mid when there is 5 people there, instead of going far for easy caps?.
PVP and PVE and WVWVW NEED to be SEPARATED in terms of balacing, like seriously it will NEVER work out, there is always something that works for pvp and never for pve, just look at the current pvp meta vs pve meta, there is waaaaaaaaaay more variety in pve RAIDS atm than it will ever be in pvp, pvp will always be what is best at the time (flavor of the season) and the game should be balanced separatly for both aspects, so w edont have the current existing power creep (bunker mesmers).
- Precursor crafting is a flop imo, why even bother with the crafting, when you can just buy the precursor and not waste yout time AND gold and just use your gold? I thought this system would be more inline with how “specialization collections” are atm, im not gonna craft something that would cost me more than just buying the kitten thing.
- On the topic of gold, why are most legendaries, inc the new backpacks, gated behind a wall of gold?, why is there no “questing experience” option for people whod rather not spend 3 months in silverwastes to buy the mats u need for a gift?.
- There need to be more ways to make gold, atm you either play the TP, play silverwastes or do “daily” gathering runs if you wanna make money, doesnt this go agaisnt the “Waiting to have fun policy” we so often hear about? Legendaries should feel Hard to get, but not anoying and boring like it is atm.
-Game feels incredibly unrewarding atm, specially pve and raids, when i down a boss, i expect at least a cool skin or something withouth having to spend 5 months on a cool drop, also the token cap needs to be raise to 100 per boss, so there is reason to repeat the boss with other groups. 100 per month is just too litte imo.
How to fix this:
- Put legendary and precursor crafting more inline with how spec collections work atm where you have to get related items, and the “machined” precursor part" to get your new ascended weapon wich is ALOT more enjoyable than having to farm for hours on end just to mats to make a gift. Also it wouldnt invalidate the current market because it would be limited to 1 per acount and would be acount bound on acquire, so if you wanted to make another one, you’d have to use teh gold method.
- Rework the LFG tool to make it more streamlined and easy to use, like adding a search function with box thicking instead of the current, select one and hope there is someone there method).
- Add a queue system to maps, so if you dont make the maps more like silverwastes, at least we can get on the good maps more easily withouth having to spam out enter keys in hopes someone is unlucky and dc’s.
- Balacing the 3 game modes separatly, there is no real reason for pve buffs to only be limited to 5 people imo, since then ur just losing a spot to another class that can bring more buffs instead of more variety.
-PVP matchmaking should work more like in it does in LOL , where you are matched with players based on your League rank and not your mmr, else you get the current situation where most people get stuck on the 2nd division, fighting people of dragon mmr or higher perpetually like a purgatory.
- Make content more rewarding! this would mean more time spent on making cool new weapons and armor for the raids and general pve, but it should never be the current case of, beat raid boss, get 2 kittenty exotics you’d just insta sell anyway, else what’s the point of raiding when people are done with their legendary armors? at least on wow for instance you can trade the items you cant use for crafting materials, maybe that would be a better option for people who want to work on legendaries.
TL:DR: Game feels unrewarding and unbalanced atm, and the only real good content atm is raids. PVP needs to be balanced separatly, maps need to work more like silverwastes for people who have actual lifes.
I love this game, but atm its not really working out for me and i just really want it to succed :<
Interrupting Gun flame ( ie dodging ) seems to deplete your adrenaline meter
(edited by Meltandriel.3290)
My only feedback from playing the class is that it feels a bit weird having to press F2 then F1 right after one another, I think you could just make the new adrenaline attacks on the F2 so you dont acidentally cancel berserker and use a non berserker skill
Also there is a bug where the warrior will lose all adrenaline instantly randomly or when teleported, at least while i was raiding.
I’l take number 7
I noticed cuz of the following thread on reddit http://www.reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/comments/3c0ht5/flurrywarrior_sword_f1_not_working_on_asura/
and tested for myself, flurry is really not doing all 10 hits, but bleeds are still aplying, dunno if this apply’s to non asuras or not.
