Why do people call it the north-north camp, when it can simply be called the north camp? I’ve heard people call the south camp the south-south camp also. Just curious.

I think the big difference in the last couple of days is that we focused Mag more. This even seems to be true for SBI.

I’m pretty sure during the first half of the week we only focused SBI. Everytime I saw Maguuma show up to either our siege or SBI’s siege the first half of the week, I felt sorry for them. It was like they were jealous that nobody was playing with them.

You have clearly never seen the German servers on EU. They’ll outnumber you 2:1 or greater and still sit in their keeps with billions of ACs.

You see this kind of post all the time. “Server X doesn’t fight in the field, they sit behind their tower walls!!!”

It’s like a baseball team just hitting balls but refusing to run the bases. You’d get fired. You might say to the coach, “but did you see how hard I hit?” It won’t really change the fact that you’re not playing the game.

You might hit hard out in the field, but if you’re only looking for open field fights, you just really are bad at WvW.

Raz, we’re not acting superior cause we pv’d your keeps and towers. I feel guilty taking them actually, but wxp man. Also, I have seen a lot of posts here from ebay posters saying stuff about stomping Yaks when we out number them. I just have to ask, really?

I’ve seen a couple of posts where I know I was involved in the situation, and yes we got thrown back, but it wasn’t superiour numbers on our side. So, really, who is acting superior? I think you guys do a great job of defending, but why get so kitteny? Be sure you’re really stomping us before you go claiming it.

Stop forgetting that YB had to fight a 2v1 against SBI at the beginning of the season 1 against IoJ and SBI. IoJ for the most part only targeted us.

The 2 differences with now and then are:

1. You didn’t plan it
2. It was 1st and 3rd targeting 2nd. At the beginning of this week, EB had 2nd place, so it was 1st and 2nd targeting 3rd. Although to be fair, you were seen as the toughest server in this match-up

“While participating in Plaver-vs-Player (PvP) gameplay, you will not participate in any form of match manipulation. Match manipulation is defined as any action taken to fix or manipulate the outcome of a match or alter or manipulate the rankings or ratings of the ladder. This also includes disrupting other people’s game experience by not actively participating in matches in good faith, a.k.a leeching.”

I think all the fair weather players better start hiding from the b@n hammer.

We didn’t need a 2nd server to come in 2nd place in the leagues. We had that on Tuesday. We did need a 2nd server to put you in 3rd place for this week’s matchup!

It’s rather pathetic and sad when you see 2 servers having to gang up on the other server because they know they cannot go 1 v 1 against them. To make it worse, at the last minute, Ehmry Bay is having to be helped by Yak’s Bend to get to 2nd place before the reset.

It’s a 2v1 you corn heads. How many times do we have to tell you. I wish you would just get out of the game so we can get Ebay in 2nd place, and then both Ebay and Yak’s can spend quality time tomorrow eating turkey together, breaking bread and pondering next week’s 2v1 against BP.

i’m having the same issue. i restarted the client, then tried restarting the pc. finally tried restarting the router and modem. even cleared the default brower cache. no dice.

FA: practice your citadel jumping skills this week so you can kill SBI’s citadel trebs easier than we can.

I want to throw SBI a bone here, hey, our N camp yak that heads to NE tower has been bugged since reset. Maybe you can make your home in our NE tower. Forever paper — your pugs can even pv-door like old times.

I really enjoyed reading most of the posts in this thread. I am however, pretty tired of seeing SBI complain about the 2v1. Yes, it’s happening. Get over it. What kind of pretentious group of people are you to completely forget about the last time SBI v YB v IOJ. Who got double teamed that match-up? Was it IoJ?

Wait, wait.. WAIT.. before you go claiming, “but we didn’t 2v1 blah blah”.. I have to inform you, that this is how it is for 2nd place servers in WvW. If you are in 2nd place you almost always are the one attacked by the other 2. It’s simple, 3rd place fights for 2nd, and 1st place fights for first by concentrating on the 2nd place server.

The excitement going on in this thread is because you are getting a taste of your own medicine. You are mostly a one zerg, karma training type of server that expects to win every one of your matches with ease.

The difference between our 2v1 this week against you, and the 2v1 we had last match-up is that at the beginning of this match it was both 1st place and 2nd place going against 3rd place. So, you can cry about this instead.

Great job to all of Yaks so far. Although, I think we still have a bit of work to do ensure a solid win. All of you have been awesome this match-up across the board. I’m really proud of us (you too Ebay).

And to the FA guy trying to claim that it’s FA’s job to deal with bandwagon servers. Just.. LOL.

I saw a lot of bandwagon server floppin guild tags last night and feel a personal pride at everybody complaining about our numbers and blobs. It’s our PVE people coming out in strength to get their achievements, or to participate in the League, but we love them and hope they stay. I personally would not care one bit if we won this match up because we happened to have more numbers at wherever you nerds were looking for your GvGs. It will be a tough fight for us this week, but we are not going to give in, no matter if it’s the weekend, or a weekday. You will see.

BTW: the NAVY guild on FA Is awesome. I always saw you guys on deck of your borderland ships. I bet you guys have that In the Navy song on repeat in your Team Speak ? :D

PROOF THAT EHMRY BAY AND BORLIS PASS HAVE BEEN WORKING TOGETHER AGAINST YAK’s BEND

We have managed to capture undeniable proof that the evil alliance of Ebay and BP truly existed this week in WvW working against poor Yak’s Bend!!! At around 5pm Eastern the Evil Alliance (BP and Ebay) converged on Yak’s Garrison. Around 5:15pm they turned into Bags.

Actually we left after your seige wiped us, no worries, you guys out in the open is on film. I mean seriously, you seige up camps?

We didn’t leave because of wipes, in fact, we had the outnumbered up all the time so we enjoyed the extra MF. We left to get our own BG back because no one was doing it. When we came back, you had even more numbers and still wiped on us a few times.

Then we went in EBG because our fairweathers, well they had left by then, as expected.

We wiped on you? haha. This guy is going to be making excuses all week I bet. I do remember your guild constantly throwing itself at Hills on YBBL. So, maybe you meant getting wiped BY us? It was fun fights, especially since you were not the only server attacking Hills. We pushed you off the at the same time we pushed the other server off, with our walls down, no supply, and of course we were outnumbered there since all servers are always outnumbered at all times!

Why are ascended weapon recipes disabled after you buy them? How long is “later” before we should “try again”.

Extremely frustrating. Please acknowledge that this is a bug. It’s been 4 hours since OP.

It would be great if each of our characters could set the wxp abilities independently, but would be awesome if the rank levels were account bound. If this was changed, I would also then like the ability to see the ranks of players on my server so I could see who is a new player and may need coaching.

I really want the world experience to be account bound to help commanders see who is experienced and who isn’t on their server.

Did this manbeast of an Asuran work tirelessly to erect a flame ram upon your grave in effigy, and invite animals of the woodlands in tribute? If so, I have no idea what you are referring to, honest.

Happy Holidays to all players. I’m from Yaks Bend, and this has been a really tough fight for us this week. I have seen some pretty tenacious groups from both Mag and DB this week. You guys are doing great.

I would like to say one thing about our server though that relates to some of these posts, and that is nobody is complaining about us cheating. In the past we have had incidents where we had hackers on our server steal an orb. We gave it back. That’s how we roll, and we are proud of it.

If you guys are so against cheating, why don’t you go ahead and report your players that are contesting our keeps under the map. You can see on the map that there will be swords on our inner keeps with no walls down. Go report them. Live up to what you claim, because I’m getting pretty tired of seeing your players glitch into a keep, or contest our stuff under the map.

I realize that these cheaters are not the reason you guys are winning, but it is your reputation. I know our reputation is secure, and we are proud of that. Proof of this is in these threads.

I was told that those bonuses only applied to the WvW maps. They apply to PVE too? Are you sure?

We were discussing some of the problems our server is having in WvW (leaving names out of this), and one of the key issues that we thought we were having was bringing new players out into WvW. I personally am now a WvW addict, but I only came out to WvW the first time to get the 100% map completion, and the monthly achievement. That game mechanic of drawing new players into WvW is great and we were thinking it would be nice if the ORB bonuses could also do this.

Think about it, if you’re a new player to the game and you see that ORB bonus icon, you are going to wonder what it is. Also, when you see it gone, and notice your HP and some other stats dropped as a result, you surely are going to be concerned.

If those earned stats that you also get in WvW as the week progresses as well as the ORB bonus applied to PVE just like in WvW (and wasn’t this the way it was in Beta?) it would give a great advantage to the players that mostly do Dungeon runs for the drops. Not having those bonuses would surely (we hope) start to generate much more interest in getting out into this PVP WvW “thing”.

I know every player has different reasons to do what they’re doing, and play games like GW2 differently than other players. I do believe though, just like in my case, that once people came out to WvW and checked it out, they would probably like it and play more.

This is what we want. We want new players to come out and support our server, and aside from standing around in LA trying to recruit people, we can’t think of a better way to do this.
