You don’t know how long I was waiting for a post like this. When I try to tab-target something, the priority seems to be
1. Neutral (non-aggroed) creature in range
2. Anything out of range
3. Object (non-creature) in range
4. Anything in range but outside my LoS
5. Hostile creature in range which is bodyblocked by something between it and my character
6. Neutral (non-aggroed) creature in range again
I was trying to find any topics related to this targetting ‘thing’, but without much luck, so I assumed the problem must be solely on my side. It is hence a kind of relief to finally hear (read) I’m not alone there.
+1, Anet please have a look at this. Now that team chat is WvW-wide and map chat is (or at least should be) used for most scouting reports, the restriction is a bit too harsh. Especially when it seems trigger off things like linking a particular poi/waypoint into the chat.
Maybe if some (most?) other classes wouldn’t have 101 passive defenses which make them almost untouchable, AND at the same time damage close or on par to thieves’, the thieves wouldn’t actually run away?
… You burn several disablers and almost whole supply depot, broadcast every 25% of outer and inner wall, and finally after X minutes die at lord’s side against 4 attackers; then you waypoint to citadel, see 5+ people AFKing or running around services/merchants and log off disgusted about humanity.
And of course, while you are defending and calling for help, you see at least one “Your realm just captured papercamp XY” message.
