kill/death ratio shows 1 thing and 1 thing only.. the biggest BLOB is usually on top

50 vs 20 for hours on end will always have a better kill/death ratio

..Yet that k/d ratio was lower 0.48 even when DB entered t2 outmanning all maps .

adopting there fancy elite skills .

And remains the same , not to happy about all the short time immigrants either ..but

DB complaining about transfers is hypocrisy 101.

The sad truth is even tho TC now heavily outnumber both us and kitten near non existent FA at the same time by at least 2 to 1 if not 3 to 1 odds throughout most of the day we still keep the score close which is at this moment 171717 us and 175726 TC with at least a 4 to 1 odds.

But as I said before on another WvW thread crap players/servers will always be crap players/servers. In this case the entity in question can’t even P2W their way to Tier 1. I think they need to put more hundreds of IRL dollars into transferring guilds and players to their server to get that T1 spot.

I don’t even feel a bit salty at all but absolutely proud to be one of the most elite severs with actual skill in GW2 that they have to stoop to suck levels of sadness to win. Kept proven me wrong and my friends that I’m trying to convice to try GW2 that is in fact far as WvW fully P2W. Yes this is in fact partly Anet’s fault for having a system that promotes this behavior. I do indeed now have a purpose in now in GW2 again, thank you TC.

It’s time for WvW megaserver now. Just like eotm but with a much longer match than 3 hours.

Some people like eotm some do not ,campaign for some longer eotm matches .
But not force some people into an alliance megaserver or whatever you wish to call it because you like the idea.Does not mean others will.

Theres nothing wrong with the snipers ,first time i was suprised and observed managed to rally recovered and never had a problem with one or two on my mesmer after the initial shock.Three then have to think more.

Most probably you should compare the euro to dollar exchange rate and the dollar to pound rate .Would believe Anet set base price in dollars not pounds or euros and convert accordingly.

Maybe you don’t understand that out of over 140 possibilities we now have 27. Who’s the troll??

You can use 27 ….9 per track 3 tracks at a time ….you will have 6 tracks , 5 at present to give rather more than 27 …and you could never ever in any mixing matching get anywhere near 140 possibilities .

Choice is good agree but lets have usefull choice , and this change does that much more than before.

Remember all the hundreds of choices in GW1 most of which simply just took room and had pretty icons …

The trait system was not that bad but there was a lot of redundancy ..so overall the new system is a move in the right direction .

2 light 1 medium and half way a heavy.Those have been crafted with no special farming effort or purchases ..silk is not a problem the red one linen maybe I find the hardest .

Takes time a bit so what the inventory fills quite fast.

how much silk scraps do you get in an hour, what type of gameplay do you do to get it (eotm, karma training, defending, etc)

How many an hour no idea totally not important, I play not for silk thats a by product .All said was never had a problem with getting silk …Recycle bags armor etc throw away the endless dust ore etc .Then when have time craft and never ever found problem not enough silk .Generally have enough to not only craft but sell .Do that when I need to empty bags fast.
As for what generally OCX in WvW borderland sometimes EB.

how much you get per time frame actually matters a lot, if your claim is that it is easy to get from normal play.

i mean if i only feel like crafting a damask once per week, and i play 20 hours a week, of course i will have enough silk.
But that isnt really “easy” relative to anything else, and not really the type of progress most people would like.
it would take 25-36 weeks to get all armor at that rate btw.

short version, numbers matter when you are trying to make comparisons.

Tsk tsk I never used words easy difficult or medium or compare anything please do not attribute words I never used .

Long version do you make up numbers the same way you make up what people say , that you do rather invalidates anything.?

All i said was had no problem infer as like from that but do not be inventive with vocabulary.
How long ..any how long in this context is so wide as to be irrelevant .As said OCX some nights very busy some very quiet any average as in all these I get x in y hours is more pulling a figure from the air than reality and totally unverifiable.
All can say is made now 3 and 1 more piece heavy left ( so 4 soon have the silk too ) ascended armor as a by product of playing , without any concentration on must get ascended since they became available.
SO again personally I find no problem with silk .

Look I fix blobbing for you once and forever in 2 seconds:

1. Remove retaliation from the game
2. Remove aoe caps from all abilties
3. Remove downed state from the game

..and you me and many others would probably pleased .
Yet the truth is many would not Anet did not make the zergs the champ trains ,stacked servers ..etc etc players did .On various servers in wvw and pve how often do you see the "where the zerg " in mapchat? I know i do often.

So the question is why should Anet do anything ?..they are a company there rationale rightly is too make money and satisfy the largest number of customers .At present it seems , no empirical evidence ,most like to play that way .

Real Physics and collision (as against the purely visual which is often mistaken )in any game causes many more performance problems than the advantages it is claimed to have.Especially as not all players have the most modern equipment .You design for the median or below .

Cryengine in Archeage did one thing good – full player collisions and vehicle physics (with full player on vehicle collisions, you could be 30 people on a warship)… and it did it on a single world map about twice the size of the entire GW2 PvE world.

Anet could do it in GW2 but it would need a whole new engine of course.

And yes, it’d be hilarious. Add friendly fire as icing on the cake please.

AA you would not stop casting if some one ran into you though and often ppl would run ports making most collisions pointless there where a lot of super zergs in AA. Friendly fire would kill any game to have it is to doom any type of team play. In real life its easy not to attk some one who on your side or attk in a way not to hit some one but this is a game world there just a limitation to what you can do for attk. To ask for friendly fire is asking for solo play only.

Not at all its simply asking for more use of “the little grey cells”.

Removing the AoE cap would make a pretty big difference.

As half or more of the time aoe is on top of friendlies the chance of all friendly or not in the aoe being hit would make blobs spread out more .

Corpse colision with friendly players would make combat in wvw much more complex. You wouldn’t be able to stack everyone in the same place for hammer train. In pve it would make content harder.

It’ll never come to PvE because that would open up countless griefing opportunities.

That said, it’ll probably never come to WvW either because of technical reasons, but there it would be awesome.

Isn’t this game more about player skill than gear, though? If I can fight a boss using Knight’s gear just as easily as a guy running Zerker, doesn’t that say a lot about skill instead of gear? Granted stats do matter in the case of this game, but at its core it’s more about how well you do than what you’re wearing.

A player having zerker gear makes him more likely to know how to do things like dodge, stack might, execute a proper rotation, bring utilities to support the party, and not put troll light fields over the ele’s fire fields. A player not having zerker gear makes it less likely he knows (or cares) about that list of things.

.

A very very erronous assumption from my observation….the majority of zerker i find believe in the myth of all you need and are far from adequate.

So… Everybody is asking for Tengu since launch and now that Mordremoth is rising, Tengu might be forced to leave their walls to face this new threat that appears to be… Quite near them.

So back to the question. What profession will your Tengu be? I was thinking about making a Phoenix inspired Tengu as an elementalist.

I certainly have never asked, wanted, desired Tengu as a race ..so its at least everbody MINUS 1.
The equipment,armor animation work would in my singular opinion make having Tengu a large waste of resources.I would much prefer anyway another of the humanised races from GW1 , I miss my spear wielding paragon most.

Wow. Not sure where you play, but it is completely opposite in T1.

1. It is a karma train here. There is no point in defending.
2. Less open field fighting
3. Havoc teams are LESS effective. If we can convince someone to sit in a tower, they can easily see when a havoc team attacks now. It is MUCH better to stay in the blob and just knock down any defenses.

Really? I’m in T1, and TC people are generally for not having white swords (or so I’ve felt from the vibe).

Not heard anyone voice that on mumble au contraire more about how it just become karma train blob keep rushes and less and less fielf fights .Suppose all have different perspectives.

The other point is the maps the POI, vistas ridges etc etc are simply not designed for mounts try using you broomstick carpet etc to navigate out of a very limited area.
You asking not only for mounts but in effect map redesign as well though the supporters will deny this .It would be required.
Unless well you could leave your mount bottom vista for example climb return to find it eaten by wildlife ,salvage some horsemeat that can go to buy your next mount .
The image of mounts running off the narrow paths in EOTM or traversing Orr and the screams complaints could envisage nearly make me support the idea of mounts .

Wildstar hasn’t failed other than expectations and hype. It’s first full quarter numbers are still better than any of NCSOFT’s previous subscription MMOs marketed only in NA/EU.

But as we saw with AION’s numbers this quarter, which have been poor since B&S came out in Korea implying players jumped from AION to B&S, a subscription game (AION still is in Korea) can bounce back.

@Middzz – average exchange rate for 3Q was 1023.19 KrW per USD, 2Q was 1027.78 (Oanda historical data, average bid for each quarter). That’s less than 1/2 of one percent.

Yet in all this talk no mention of exchange rate …the strengthening of the won has weakened profits when returned to korea for all korean companies .If they report a 6 per cent fall in income from a mainly english game it would mean that sales are actually increasing in numbers as the won variation is about 13 percent .
The opposite of this was Toyotas 27 percent increase in income with no extra sales due to the weakening of the yen .

Well dont wear beserker , never done a fractal hold no interest for me .only ever done 1 dungeon found it also uninspiring (personal view ) generally reside in WvW only .
Did the LS on my mesmer one run completed didnt find it particularly a challenge at all .So unsure how overtuned this LS is didnt seem to be too bad, long long ago I found the Fort defence in LS part 1 much more annoying .

Because the lake and quaggens were better and should return .

Instead of making more of the map used the design concentrated everything into a small area i.e the centaur and skritt area which are generally totally ignored on borderlands .

For me I would like the lake returned and the bloodlust nodes spaced around the map more .

At present the nodes are a bore and an eyesore.

Solution to fix the population imbalance

Map Caps hurt the high population servers too much, because the target should not to not let people play.

I’m not advocating map caps, but that’s exactly the idea. Over stacked servers need to be dispersed so that we have a lot of viable servers to compete against each other instead of 1 or 2 that just destroy everything else based on population.

I hated to come to that conclusion however I agree that however bad a lower map cap would be it has a positive side of forcing overstocked servers to disperse. We need a way to encourage players to move to other servers and spread out their own population.

I like the mixture of force and encourage .Many of these posts have included the term " we need to force " ie you want ANET to force players to play the way you want .ANET did not stack the servers players did , ANET did not make ZERGS players did and ANET do not shout wheres the zerg on every map you go to players do.
Removing servers , forced caps etc will not I believe get the results you desire .Well maybe it will by forcing people to do what they clearly do not want they will leave and the limited number of posters will be left to play in there perfect WvW.
Outmanned benefits need to be looked at ,as at present, specially since free repairs came ,they give no real minus to the side with numbers .A scaled effect of benefits and handicaps based on percentage differences may work to spread numbers more evenly both between servers and maps .

Is it bad ,yes often ….It is clearly the choice of the majority players .
and I am sure if anet started telling people how to play limiting groups there would be a lot more screaming .

As there are more than enough problems adjusting meshes outfits animations to the existing races,the work involved in simply adapting what is to a new race would be problematic.That effort would be far from easy or short so as such the efficacy debatable.
A version of an existing race (i.e. like in GW1 different flavours/ colorings of humans.)
would be much much more practical .

Well while picking on one server is a common tactic, much like a starving dog setting on a bleeding steak, the following well coordinated tactic is as far removed from ‘picking on the little guy’ as me being able to sprout wings and fly. (If I could do that, I’d smack these coordinating louts upside their collective noggins.)

Here is something I witnessed: GoM goes to attack Bay, they pull off when a few die. DR then surges down from waiting on the cliff and attacks, when a few die, THEY pull off. Then GoM surges forward again after stacking and recovering.

This is not picking on the little guy, this is well coordinated maneuvers between teams. Much like rifle line tactics of old, front line fires, kneels and reloads, then the back line advances, fires, kneels and reloads. This is NOT a legitimate tactic between two warring servers.

Its a stategy not a tactic …volley fire as you said is a tactic ..and equally sure many africans thought volley fire was unfair ruining the fight etc etc.

The question is though why is it not legitimate ?….one side clearly wil not enjoy the other 2 must or it would soon breakdown .

To quote Churchill “If Hitler invaded hell I would make at least a favourable reference to the devil”…

or even keep your friends close your enemies closer .Its not invalid because 1 side doesnt like it .

The nature of WvW is inherently unfair thats the fun of it when you are up or down ..these attempts to care bear WvW rebalancing PPT dezerging ideas etc etc etc are taking the fun out of it ..and this is just another care bear approach .

Again why is “This is NOT a legitimate tactic between THREE warring servers…..”????

The Nightwatch Issue

People who argue against changing scoring rules to deal with the “nightcap” issue bewilder me. Are these players who want to pvd karma train without challenge? Are they afraid this will be taken away? Because none of their arguments hold up.

Improving scoring methods would improve the WvW game for everyone involved.

Here is the basic life of the WvW-only player:
1. Start out on some server. Start getting into WvW
2. Get serious about WvW, try to push server.
3. Server moves up or server stalls
4. Coverage gaps in server creates PPT wall the server can’t get past.
5. Coverage gaps create ridiculous score differences, lower impetus to play for many. Map and PPT situation gets even more difficult. Play time becomes work time.
6. Server either recruits or player switches server
7. Server recruits, moves up, still has coverage gaps vs Server X, goes back to step 5
8. Player switches server, goes to top tiers, ends up facing another wall of PPT and slight coverage gaps.
9. Player switches server again, moves up another notch.
10. Swathes of players and coverage suddenly makes player feel less vital. 24/7 grind by players to overcome coverage wars wears down player.
11. Player burns out, quits.

There are ways to address the over-importance of coverage wars. Right now, someone playing off-peak hours with a large group vs empty maps is worth more than those fighting against actual players. Player time is not equal. Coverage wars burn out players.

Changing the scoring system is the vest way to fix this.

A big NO..managed to play for over a year with usually free repairs outmanned in the time zone I and many of my guild play in .

Are we swamped yes often …do our pixels suffer horrible painless deaths …very often .(if you worry about your pixels WvW is not the place for you )

But we just keep coming back having fun other wise what the point and not taking as seriously as you seem to.

But I cannot see the point of making an effort if the set up is only "my time " are important.

Yes we play huge groups larger than you it seems most days BUT your argument is we should be devalued .

Our job is to limit the damage the mass blob can do , sometimes we are sucessfull sometimes not .
I never thought WvW was fair or understand why it ever should be, a war is to use what resources you have .If thats more supply or more "night players " thats fine .Its not a sports game with set kick of and time outs .Go play EA sports if thats what you want.

I think you got your information in reverse ..I …a few minutes ago the whole EOTM overflow that entered for few minutes was totally green .The only players on the map were a mass of green grouped with 4 commanders karma training the whole map.Not a non NPC enemy player anywhere on the map competitive balanced are not words that come to mind when think of EOTM.

Good idea , field works traps have been a feature of battles since pre Roman times and would add flavor .As people learnt how to use tactical benefits too.

As for the PvE thing ..you may think great most in PvE do not there wishes win as the majority .Unfortunately the same logic in WvW does not work where wvwplayers are the majority the wishes of pve seem to overule .Maybe one day Anet will approach both equally .

An opinion , mine is would be boring .

Same reason I like playing Wardens in LOTRO ,even with the recent respec ,I can look after myself when i want inc solo bosses and can add advantages to group when group up….and horses are great but so laggy if a few makes WvW blobs feel like heaven .

They did not get into N koreas internet which is designed to stop people getting out ..

They blocked the news feed which maybe 2 people look at …..the N korea TV internet radio is totally internal propoganda .Last thing N korea want is N Korean axcess WWW …probably thanked them .

How to troll TC:

Go NN on TC BL with 4 people.

Kill 10 man FA group trying to take NN (they were half uplevels so w/e, just saving them time with the waypoint).

Push into fully upgraded NN camp w/ 2 ACs, 2 ballistas in camp and 2 ballistas on stairs.

Fight 5-6 TC + guards pulling them around corners to avoid Ballista fire. Kill TC players and most guards.

Kill players on ACs and camp Ballistas while LOSing stair ballistas with walls and well.

Kill new influx of random TC players.

Pull 60 man TC blob from citadel. Kite 60 man TC blob to skritt with no losses. Laugh IRL as our full support mesmer kills a warrior glued to her by dragging him off a ledge. Kill random TC stragglers who obviously weren’t on mumble.

Run back to NN.

Kill 2 new ACs in the camp.

Pull guards and random TC (again).

Kill guards, stack behind well.

Watch as TC players on ballistas fail to get off ballistas and let us cap fully upgraded NN with 4 people.

/laugh 20 times. WP home.

Please stick to RP/ERP TC. Holy kitten.

It is so clear to anyone that only TC makes errors /blobs /hides with ac etc etc etc …unlike yourselves that never make mistakes never blob s never use Ac and are real manly men .
