For Humans, we bring back the:
PARAGON
Spear Throwing Leaders!
Bring back Spear Skills, Chants and Echos
Add Spear Weapons Unique to Paragons
Uses Heavy ArmorForgive me if I’m mistaken, but didn’t the Paragon rely on the gods for their power in GW1?
If so, the current lore would prevent them from existing - the gods aren’t hanging around any more.
Someone dosent Know their Lore very well. In Guild Wars 1 the Gods werent around either, but they still channeled the power of the gods as did the Dervish. which they would have an even greater point being the Diciples of Kormir, who gave her life to become the Goddess of Truth.
I rely on a friend for lore to be honest, he played GW1 for years and was really deeply into it. I pretty much just played for the Hall of Monuments, and he carried me for that.
However, after a quick check on the GW1 wiki, i find this:
The presence of the True Gods can be felt in the present day when the world has earned the Favor of the Gods.
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Gods
This would suggest that they were active during the time of GW1. While the corresponding page on the GW2 wiki doesn’t state they aren’t active any more, it’s fair to say that sites associated with them - the Promenade of the Gods and the Temple of Ages - are no more, and there is little in-game to point to their presence.
You do Realise Orr sank(1071 AE) just 1 year after the Searing in Ascalon(1070 AE) and 1 year before the main part of Prochecies(1072 AE), the first part of Guild Wars? By the time Guild Wars 1 ends, it is 9 years after(1080 AE) and the gods left during the Exodus of the Gods further back in 0 AE, which marked the start of the new time keeping. The gods may not Interact with us, nor show as much favor as they once did, however they are nevertheless listening and their power does flow (Considering the Human skill for each God)

Okay, to celebrate Guild Wars 2’s Second Birthday I think they should release 1 new Proffession per RACE. Racial Classes would be neat and if done right would be fine to play and I doubt anyone cars if they have to be a specific race to be a certain class.

----- As a long-time guild leader and fan of the Original Guild Wars, I was very dissappointed in ANET when they announced and released the Megaserver System. First Off, it makes it INSANELY annoying to recruit people because of the world difference and Influence being tied to each world(Good job not patching that with the rest of the system) also, there is no way to CHOOSE which instance of an area you get dumped in, unlike the original Guild Wars and the District System, which worked nicely because of the selection menu. I also take issue with the idea of the Megaserver just plain being a bad decision. If the problem was world population then MERGE THE LOW-POP WORLDS. This Megaserver system breaks so much and its really annoying.
-----Enough about the Megaserver, lets talk about issues with the Guild system currently in place. First Off, (I know its fairly trivial but..) the color selection when creating a guild emblem is WAY too limited and there is NO way to expand it, and even with the colors there are, only half of them look decent on most emblem set ups. Also why dont we have a Guild Hall system yet? It really wouldnt be that hard and if your worried about Lore Incongruencies just use the Fractals of the Mists, say a guild can buy an upgrade under Architechture to stabalize their own private fractal and then you can pay gold(like the original GW) to add NPCs like Guild Bank & Guild Armorers & Repairmen.
-----At this point in development it wouldnt be THAT hard to create a few different maps and scripts to make Guild Halls work, though honestly the coolest thing you could do is a Guild Hall feature like City of Heroes used to have and what Warframe has right now, which is build your own guild hall. Use single parts of hallways, rooms, ect and let the guild design the layout. It would give guilds a Private place to meet for say, officer meetings or even large guild private events(like a party) You could even have rooms for 1v1 duelling and group battles and the guild could use that to test new members if they wanted.
-----These are all really cool features that would have almost no impact on the overall game but have a huge impact on enjoyment for many players. It’s not rocket science, just some game code and doing things you have already done in the first game. These would be an AMAZING way to mark the birthday of GW2. Who else agrees with me?
