Doesn’t this strike anyone suspicious that both Evon and Ellen start with E? That they both seemed to be hinting about Scarlet wanting to attack Lion Arch back in Wintersday? And with The Dead End: A Study in Scarlet shows that Scarlet was really one step ahead of the Player and Gang this whole time, with the exception of the premise of Dragon Bash, so we are lead to believe.

Now we should know that no matter what the outcome of Dragon Bash voting procures were, the results would been the same. This story is that linear. Much akin to the player’s Personal Story and how it ends with Zhaitan’s defeat. They both have a potential to branch out at certain points in the story, but they knit tightly back together at the conclusions; thus will be the same endings for all.

So why bring this up? What if Evon and Ellen are both insiders of the Aether Blades working as double agents? This would also mean Scarlet really did get an insider on the council seat despite what we may thought.

While I have no physical proof, the circumstantial evidence from “the dead end” mission seems to be pointing this as a strong possibility as her other outcomes are similar in behavior. As we, the players, defeat Project A, Scarlet succeeds by incorporating Plan B in place of Project A. — Flame Legion defeated but Scarlet got a sonic device out of it, Jubilee was the upgraded Watchworks from the slightly-not-so-mysterious Steam Creature troops, Thaumanova Reactor was the knowledge of Tyria’s lay lines and Dragon Energies, Kessex Hills she made a more potent poison out of the antidote we’ve conjured.

Just some food for thought.

The mentor requires you to have completed the first Claw Island event (so I’m told, I’ve also heard you’ve had to have just complete meeting your mentor), for Traherne once he makes you commander is when he can start showing up…. Still haven’t fought Traherne =(

… If this is the case then I am thinking this is more achievement tied then character acknowledgement.

I fought Traherne at least 3 times, 2 of them consecutively in a row, on my necromancer, however they are as far in the personal story in helping the skritt out with my mentor. So my necromancer, being human, hasn’t met Traherne yet.

On the other note I have fully completed the personal story on 3 other characters.

Do you prefer if there was no LW contents?

The Living Story has content?

A friend came back momentarily after a hiatus for months, I shower her the Queen’s Jubilee and the content, and then she asked me, “So, this is it? Are there any thing more permanent content from the past living stories?” I had to pause and think hard… I have no permanent features to show off for this living story content from what we have been doing.

So a 2-4 week achievement grind fest, there is very little evidence that we have permanent content, as promised, to show for. Sure Keil is the newly elected captain council, Aetherblades still reside outside of Lion’s Arch in their cubby-hole of a jumping puzzle, sure Bharam and Rox’s instances still exist… but these don’t feel as if the world is evolving, only the politics are changing to me. What of the more prominent features?

- Southsun Cove : while beautiful, is a pain to navigate solo and the minions there are far more difficult to fight then the risen in Orr. I even advise everyone, whom ask, to stay clear of there due to it’s danger.

- Super Adventure Box : an amazing feature that possibly brought more people back into the game then making them want to quit, is offline and non-accessible at the time being. This is how a mini game should be, exclusive from the world and inciting to play.

- Fractals : probably the best feature we’ve got to show off from the living world content. However, due to the limited fractal levels per character are suppose to acquire, I feel people get burned out on these faster then doing a normal dungeon.

As expected the holidays are coming back, so… yay? I am fully aware we are in the first year and the game has to establish a minimal rotation of reoccurring events into the world of Tyria. Yet, we are waiting on the continuing story where we progress from defeating Zhaitan onto other greater threats as well as the other Elder Dragons. Again we were told we are not fighting an Elder Dragon until 2014, at the bare minimum.

So what I want to ask is, where can I get the feature to show off to newcomers / returning friends that our world is, yes, evolving into a living world?

Oi, too many wall of text to read though.

I love to help others, but my problem isn’t helping others at a low level but all over the map and level ranges. Quite often I feel I have an inner Skritt inside me shouting, “Oooh, Shiney!” to all those folks in some need of help. Such as, when I see a person down icon on the mini map I tend to make a bee line to that person to help resurrect them despite my own train of mobs gathering up behind me.

So, while I do concur the social aspect seems lacking, due to the intense dodging / strafing actions involved all the time, all it usually takes is a little incentive words to get people yammering up a novel on any chat form. No one like to speak up first, since it draws some unwanted ( or too much ) attention to that one person. With that, I don’t mind the silent treatment, I just figure I did my job and move on.
