What do you need the mastery for if you don’t want to raid?
It’s is the only thing preventing me from reach the Mastery cap. When you reach the cap you get Spirit Shards for the XP-Level you gain. If you are not mastery capped you get nothing. So basiclly, right now no matter what i do besides Raid gives me 0 XP.

As title says, why oh why?
It goes against the game’s “free style” selling point. The locking of this Mastery line forces players into roles and into game modes that they do not like or wanna play. Remember how they did that mistake once before? In vanilla you needed to play WvW to get Full map completion, they realized that they did it all wrong and removed that restriction. Its time for them to unlock the Forsaken Thicket Mastery line for those people who dont wanna raid (most of the player base) and stop forcing people to do raids. Just put an NPC outside which you can talk to and get the Mastery line unlocked.
The in-game music in Guild Wars 2 is epic. But sometimes many of us listen to other tunes just to get that feeling. I want to build up a small Mesmer soundtrack that i can listen to while playing around with my Chronomancer. Maybe we can help each other and share some mesmer-like songs.

Why?
It includes many sentences that makes me think of my Mesmer.

I applaude you sir!
When people take time to do this kind of stuff for the fellow comrades it is just great.
Thanks for the feedback.
You can by all means swap out those celestial pieces to berzerker. However i personally do not have those pieces ascended but i have celestial ascended and thats why i use them while i get ascended bersker. I should have been more clear about that.
Survivability aint an issue since most attacks go direct to your clones and illusions. And for big AoE or other nasty thing you have dodge and a really long block with shield 4 (especially if you get deja vu).
“For open world etc. you might want to replace Compunding Power with Persistence of Memory, just so you can finish off mobs with F1 and have your phantasms back up for the next blob of trash.”
You can definalty do that, due to personal reference tho, i prefer not to.
Regarding Scholar, since you mostly take no damage, scholar is perfect.
Also, here is the build without celestial (Assa + Zerk).

PS.
You are right about Time Warp. Sometimes you shouldent dubble pop for 20s quickness. But in short events and in the end of boss fight you can do so with great success.

Hi guys!
I have been playing around with the Chronomancer for a few days now and i wanted to share my build. I know it aint perfect and i am not all-knowing but i consider it a great PVE-build for doing some worldbosses and having fun at the meta events in Heart of the jungle. Here the link to the build i am currently using. You could swap blink or decoy to another well but they are such awesome utilites when running around.
So, how viable is it? You be the judge of that, but i did solo an Hero point Champion in Heart of the jungle with ease and thats good enough for me.
I use assasin armor, celestial rings, accesories and berserker amulet. Superior rune of Scholar is my choice. I also use berserker greatsword, shield and sword. Accuary sigil, bloodlust sigil.
Dont forget to use continuum split for dubble Time Warp and well.
With this build you will have tons of quickness and aclarity and you will share it with your mates.
As i said before, i aint an expert on this. But since there is very few casual PVE-builds out there and it seems to be a high demand i did my best shot.
Hi!
I am working on my soon to be Chronomancer and i usually like to make my own build. But im kinda lost here and dont really know which way to go.
So i looked up some build on Metabattle but none of the builds seems to fit me.
I mostly play casual PVE doing meta events, worldbosses and now and then a dungeon.
So i would appreciate some guidence.
Is Domination/Illusion/Chronomacer a doable way (i prefer Greatsword and Sword/X).
Also, if running those traitlines, what runes would be recommended? Scholar?
Gearwise, I have full ascended rings, amus and accesory. (2 zerk, 3 cele, i will stick with them for now, so rest of the slots, berserk or assasin maybe?
Any help is much appreciated.

So, the pricetag on runes differ a lot.
There for my question is which runes are acceptable and will benefit the Auramancer build (Earth, Water, Tempest) the most?
Order in rank, starting with best to worst. Maybe top 5.
Soldiers, altruism, vampirsm, Monk, travelers could be examples maybe?
Im thinking about traveler for the movment passive, since signet passive would be waste of utility skill.

Actually, its rather simple.
I took me a few attempts and i was really feelin that RNG-stuff that is mentioned in this thread. But then i took some actions and when i did as i did it felt easy, wasent buggy and went rather quick. Battle was over in like 10 minutes. I am Guardian with 50% soldier 50% beserker.
Here what i did.
1. Combat him in melee range and keep circleling around him. His damage is rather pathetic this way.
2. When blighted allies spawns, run far away from boss, the others will tank him meanwhile you dps down the blighted one.
3. When its big AOE time, dont jump and panic, just run over the stream and it will throw you up in the air.
4. Fly from stream to stream, if big rock is coming, hit space bar fast, and then fast again to spread your wings once again.
5. Try never to stand to close to edge, since you can get knocked off and get insta-downed.
6. In last phase, just nuke the trash, close rift, run like wind over and DPS him. When the game says, run away, you run away back to the rift and reapeat this step again.
7. Profit.
Hope this helps out.

That is correct. Outside the jungle i have no problems, life is a breeze in the old world so to speak.
Many have a few items set and swap around. I only own one secondary armor set and it has Carrion stats. And i think best bet is to keep a few beserker items. But i was thinking about to use a few solider items in the jungle. But i dont know if its worth it and how big the dps loss is. Currently i am around 2200 armor, 12k hp, 63% crit chance 218% crit damage.
If a want a more balanced guardian in the jungle so i dont die as much, is the best balanced stats Solider or maybe Knights or Valkyrie? I really dont know, thats why i ask. I mained Ranger before but fell in love with the Guardian half a year ago. Should mention that i max out in the Dragonhunter traitline. So i am not missing any traits and skills.
Hi!
IM currently running like the only metabuild for Dragonhunter (http://metabattle.com/wiki/Build:Dragonhunter_-_GS/LB). I’ve done fine before, all beserker stats besides 3 assasin armor (all exotic or higher). Have Scholar runes.
Problem is i die alot, like a rat to be frank. And i like to think that i handle my character decent with dodge and all. So i was thinking about swapping out some stats.
But here the problem. I dont know what stats. I wanna raise my hp pool a bit since Guardian have a lot of Toughness anyway. So i was thinking using 3 or more items with Solider stats. Should i make the swap or go for something else statwise. I am kinda poor so i dont afford to big of changes. Have like 100 gold total.
Also, i mostly do solo pve and dungeons. Rarly WvW and never ever Spvp.
Pls held a lost fellow out with some wise words.

If you are running a DPS-oriented build with GS and Mace/Scepter/Torch which trait would be preferd damage wise?
And does the outcome of which trait to use based on the stat choices? Like Berserk, Carrion, Sinister etc…
Any thoughts?
So, isent it ironic that guardians iconic weapon Shield (also used as profession icon in this very forum) is used by practiclly no one?
At the same time, guardians are looking forward to using longbow, and rangers are going full melee.
Preview in trading post would be appriciated.
Signet of the hunt still show 10% but i should be 25%
I have the same problem
The Ranger skills says thats when passive it will grant 25% movement speed. Hower it only gives 10% which is stated when the boon mark appears.
Okey, many of us seem to have the same problem with the Deluxe Edition.
After purchased you should gain the elite skill summon mist fire wolf. And you do get that on your alts, but not on the character you done the purchase with. So thats problebly it, the character you did the purchase with dont have the skill all other of your characters have it. So the bug is that the chacater who does the purchase dont get the wolf skill.
