glad it’s not just me then.

During and after completing an event Expanse Waypoint in Blazeridge, these spheres kept showing up randomly and exploding. See picture for details.

There is clipping on the thigh in some animations. See attached picture. Picture was taken in the Raven Lodge in Hoelbrak, so in the cast animation her leg was up on the ledge behind.

I got worried and checked myself, the hair flip animation is still there. But other than that, the only idle animation is looking side to side and occasionally shifting weight from one leg to the other. Really, that’s all we get now?

Attached pictures show the skill point NOT appearing on the map yet showing I’m missing one on the overlay. The pictures show the map before and after I found the hero point. The last picture is approximately where the skill point is (behind those bushes and rocks to the right) but you don’t see it until you’re right on top of it.

+1 x 1000 – continuing to ignore this consideration is absurd and prejudiced.

one thought, as far as the post there though, is that this game can be done without aoe circles though. I have known players who have turned off indicators and trained themselves to read animations and spell sounds to know what’s coming. but it takes a lot of practice and trial and error. it still doesn’t mean that there shouldn’t be options to change red ANYTHING to something else (looking at you, team and map chat, too)

I couldn’t upload these all in one post for some reason.

I’ve been tracking ip’s that I’ve been on in game for a couple days now and I wanted to show some of the ping tracking paths, and which are showing packet loss on GW side. Yes, I have PL on my end too, and from my ISP (and Level 3, ugh) but these images are directly from one of several nc soft ips that I’ve collected over the last few days. The IP was collected in Lion’s Arch, where I experience the worst of the worst lag (12-15 fps standing perfectly still and using no skills or UI).

I’ve been doing some investigating of my own lag and problems at each hop and yes Level 3 is a big problem. Through the three or four hops through L3 servers, I have about 20% packet loss on average, sometimes much higher.

Even if they’re not consumers of magic, but they are indeed attracted to it.

This is an interaction with an NPC in Hoelbrak who says other norn deride her for her calling as a healer, not just something I pulled out of the air.

My point about a code of behavior only meant that there isn’t “one way to play a Norn,” nomadic or otherwise.

There isn’t even necessarily a strict code of behavior or culture in each race. I remember a Norn healer (NPC in Hoelbrak) who has chosen a path VERY different than most, but it’s her skill, it’s her passion, and she does it anyway. An alternative too could be a shamanistic nomad. Shamans are in many RL cultures and inspiration could be pulled from many areas that overlap, then molded into the fantasy world Norn live in. Seems like a fun project without getting into racialized negative stereotypes.

xase, yes, ty. g*psy is a slur in the vein of n***er. as far as the intent of the post, just make a nomad Norn, eh, nbd.

The ONE thing yall could do to make this right is extend the event by a week. ONE thing and it would begin to make it fair. And ya can’t even do that. If this was supposed to draw in vets, it’s having the opposite effect.

I really hope this gets fixed before the event this weekend, but I doubt it. :-/

I’m experiencing it with onboard graphics and a mediocre sound card, I can’t test it on my better gpu because the fan is broken. But the onboard driver is the newest driver. Worth checking out on the sound front though. Thx for the detailed report Pax.

I would love an option to ‘store’ an extra build or two (we now have a separate wvw from pve build, which is wonderful on its own), even if it wasn’t gear too (though that would be a nice side bonus). Just having the ability to store presets (including skills/utilities) would be so helpful, SOOO helpful.

This consideration applies for colorblindness, ANY partially sighted person, and many learning disorders including dyslexia. To omit them is ableist and excluding a HUGE population of potential gamers.

I’ve had my ping jump to over 1k yesterday, while my fps didn’t drop much at all. I thought it was just me. And I’ve been getting really bad lag for a few weeks in some places. The Ley Line Hub is the WORST.

Lumpy, I’m sure you’re being facetious, but I’d love that option too, for both sexes. It’d be nice to have a good shorn cut for both. I had such a stressful time making my latest character (a black female norn) and had NO appropriate styles (except for the AWFUL locs, why are they shiny!?) so I wanted to make her bald. But… side note, can we please adjust ears on humans? They look like elephant ears.

I’m not missing the point, I know what you mean for getting in for full/ready maps, but I don’t see them adding in queuing (even if it is a pain in the kitten when you can’t get in with a guild or party) maps like wvw.

I keep thinking about this thread, I want more good looking male human stuff >_< These are the best I’ve been able to do and it took A LOOOOOOT of slider dragging and time to get them to look like not-babies.

if you waypoint to the area, and there’s already a full map, it’s a new instance. a new map to fill. so there’s no real need for a queue since a new map is made.

idk in direct response to your question, but I’d like a Hate Speech report option, apart from the Verbal Abuse one. there’s a lot of bigotry in map chats sometimes and it’s really awful.

make it like the name change contract in price, and add a cd, I like it.

Side note on light armor looking like heavy, though it doesn’t cover much flesh, the carapace top (at least on females) has metal parts on the arms and around the bust. Looks pretty awesome on my norn ele.

Truly, it would be nice if there were more gender-busting options for the humanoid races. Asura and Charr can more easily be more masculine or feminine than Human or Norn. idk if Zsiegmond mentioning discrimination against trans people was flippant while the suggestion of bearded women was the serious part, but either way it stands. If we’re gonna have an openly trans person in the game, please give us more genderqueer options for humanoids.

I like just about every one of these collection suggestions. Having questable goals like this brought me back to the game after almost a year off, and is keeping me on while I wait for HoT.

+1 kitten near every post in this thread, esp the requests for more afro-textured hair.

Honestly not having hair styles like many of these is straight racist. We have a melanated race of Elonia and yet there’s next to no hairstyles that work (for humans OR norns, as said many times, charr and asura have better afro-textured hair styles, this bothers me greatly bothers me on MANY levels).

I’ve only successfully made one black human male and one “sorta” successful black norn woman. Along with new faces, at some point can we actually have either sliders that allow for a variety of races, or more faces than “everyone ever is Anglo”.

No one’s gonna comment on the princess dress on the female charr? I think the wedding attire looks pretty smashing on every other race and gender, but… what is this tea party dress and ribbons on a charr? at least the male charr outfit kinda looks like a nice toga thing. Why not do a Romanesque female version?

Confirming that ip 64.25.38.135:0 has been stuck for at least 5 hours. See above for the chain of events that led to it.

Here are things that have happened/not happened because of it:

No defense events at Sappers or Bloodgorge in 3 hours I was on that map

Maybri and the two unnamed NPCs vanished at some point during the double champ event, now only Slashclaw remains and she is basically unkillable (not invuln, just regens/heals REALLY fast)

Gregory’s team is in place, and he is also unkillable (see above), but Finley and the two/three npcs in there too can die and be revived.

All the npcs listed are just standing there, Slashclaw and Gregory saying their lines but not moving. Gregory is even outside the kraal while Slashclaw is at the mortar spot.

All events leading up to Ogre Wars, and possible reset spots, are frozen.

Will edit if I remember any more of the details I also submitted as in game bug reports.

ETA: From a person who was there when it bugged, none of the npcs died during the assaults (though Finley’s group has since, and been revived, repeatedly)
