The RNG, very accurate requirements for long range hitting (lol good luck seeing that target around your cursor) and mouse floatiness make this much more difficult than it should be.
It’s a neat idea in theory but it’s just poorly implemented for the adventure.
It seems like there’s RNG for the shooting as well. Shooting straight without moving the mouse the arrows don’t always land in the center. I mean I guess it’s realistic, but it’s also a gigantic pain in the kitten.
By the way, the whole locking of adventures I find is generally stupid, and in the case of this adventure it’s incredibly annoying as well. It wants me to complete the noble outpost at night which is 17,500 game units (lol I don’t know what unit of measurement they use) away. There is literally nothing in the area of the shooting gallery to make a valid excuse for disabling the adventure at night. Just WHY. Can’t even try to play.
salty.
Even with the Itzel mastery I can’t even do this quest at the moment. It just stops updating the quest markers and blocks progress after the third or so step. Posted in the bug report thread hoping for it to be noticed, but with the requirement removed it might not be a problem after the patch.
Sign Cutting, story quest 14 is broken. Find Rox’s first markings, Examine the marking, Follow Rox’s trail all completed. Now nothing happens. The quest indicator at the top right doesn’t know what to do either. Just literally blocked from continuing for no reason. GG ANET.
I was playing as an engineer in this LS episode. When I got into Glint’s I used rocket boots to skip ahead a bit, missing the quest point “explore the area ahead.” I didn’t notice this until after I bit the miniboss and progressed to the next area in the lair, preventing me from being able to go back and update the quest progression. GG
First of all let me preface by saying my current complaint is with Shrubsplosives and Rock Dodger in Mystery Cave. I completed the Pact Assaulted ones with no trouble, as well as the smotherer smiter. I have not yet attempted the Arcana Obscura achievements, but based off of videos those look crazy for entirely different reasons.
Let’s get started with Shrubsplosives. Sometimes the vines that link two of the shrubs together is clipped into the ground, making it very hard to judge where you can safely detonate them. The knock up from the dragon is extremely infuriating, because stability has no effect on it. I’ve been happily lighting a fire while shrubs spawned behind me, then I see the orange underneath me so I pop Stand Your Ground, then I get knocked up into the air on top of a shrub. OK. Why is that a thing? I haven’t been able to tell a difference for when it’s going to be him clawing or popping his head out of the ground, so it seems like pure RNG.
Rock Dodger is equally frustrating. For one it is often hard to see the symbols on the ground due to the darkness and the way the fog or something works. Now after completing burn phase 1, this achievement just gets kittened. Dragonboy will light up the whole place with rocks. Great. Being a guard I have aegis. Nope, doesn’t block it. I also have the focus. Nope, shield skill doesn’t block them either. Your only chance is to find one square millimeter of ground that is not affected, or hope you have the endurance to dodge roll. This becomes a problem when entering burn phase 2 because dragonboy will cover the room twice with rocks. So if you use your dodge roll too close to entering the second burn phase, it is impossible to not be hit by a rock because you won’t be able to roll twice.
As a guardian, even in full berserker, my damage is balls. Because of how many rocks are falling in burn phase 2 in particular, I cannot melee with a greatsword or I will fail the achievement. So I have to use rod/focus or maybe sword for better DPS but one ability. Most times, it will end up having to go to a 3rd burn phase, which makes the likelihood of succeeding plummet.
I joined an unranked PvP lobby (solo) and later left the lobby. Visually, this appeared to work. However a short while later I got the ready notification for entering PvP.
I’ve run into some issues with Caith’s Reconnaissance Squad. One I jumped down from the ledge where the chopper comes from (before it came) and you can see Canach is invisible, with no artwork by his name either.
Secondly, in screenshot 253 you can see that for some reason every single enemy here now has the determined buff, making it impossible to continue the mission. Every NPC has it, and they are their own source. Husks say source is Husk, Wolf says source is Wolf, Canach says Source is Canach, and Caithe says source is Caithe… so now I have to restart the mission.
Quick edit: The Priory research, whispers agent, and vigil marksman do not get Determined. I can resurrect them and they die. Also I am locked permanently in a combat state because of this determined buff I think. It has been 20 minutes and my character will not regen his HP even though I haven’t been fighting or getting hit. Time to restart the mission!
Edit #2: Replaying the mission, I noticed that the Determined buff on enemies goes away when Canach says “There’s the squad, let’s go”. So I must have somehow not triggered that quest event on my playthrough where they permanently had the determined buff. Once Canach gets in combat (which if you look closely you can see in the screenshot) he will not leave, so I think he somehow got ahead of me, and into combat — failing to trigger the quest event and since I could not get him to ever move away (even in death) the quest was impossible to complete.
Also the ending to this mission has never been clear to me. Go down the slope! Wait just kidding this part is overrun and not defensible! Go back to the ledge! ???? Are you drunk?
And if I drop down from the ledge (to where Canach is in screen 251) and just walk back up, it’s an instant “win” scenario, where the chopper immediately comes.
For further info… I am currently on replay no 3. Did story, did achieve once earning Recon Demolitionist and Not Under My Command, and was currently trying for No Thanks to Canach.
Also: Topic Title is too long (maximum is 45 characters)
what.

For checking temperature, use CPU-Z and GPU-Z programs as mentioned earlier.
Do you have FPS problems with any other games? I have run into something like this before, and it was because the fans on my graphics card stopped working so it kept lowering its performance until it wasn’t getting too hot.
For the record, I have AMD FX 6300 CPU and Radeon HD 7870, and I can run the game at high settings with 40-50 FPS so you should definitely see better with a stronger GPU and CPU than me
