Been having this error ever since I woke up from my short nap after logging out 1 hour after… Didn’t install/download anything at all today , and this thing kept on popping up … Tried restarting internet/router still doesn’t help. Anyone suffering from the same issue ?
So far , thanks for all the reply , really appreciate them.
Wow 45 ~ 60 FPS in DR is something I will never achieve with my current(dead) GPU…HoT Maps at 55-60 ? That’s really good ! I get only 20 fps or below most of the time in those maps…
Anyways , I’m using a Intel i7-3770 CPU @ 3.40GHz , 8 GB RAM , monitor isn’t too fancy , just a HP 21 inches 1920 × 1080 – 60 HZ.
Well thanks everybody , I believe I’ve gotten the gist of it already. Think I’m going for the GTX 970 ( still unsure of the manufacturer tho but I’m probably gonna go for the Asus since my MoBoard is Asus.
Edit:Oh and I forgot to mention , my previous GPU was a 2GB non-sapphire Radeon .Got only 20 fps or below even when everything is set to the lowest in LA,DR , any cities you could think of (and worst of all , Black Citadel which have gotten my fps as low as 10).

If you are going to just be playing GW2, then the 960 is great for that, I have one and do not notice any frame drops or stuttering. If you are going to be playing new triple A games on full settings, then the 970 would be a better bet.
A few more games actually , what is your fps in cities ? I want to know about the new HoT maps including SW and Drytop as well . Mind telling me ? Thanks !
Hello fellow players , long story short. GPU died , was using Radeon HD 7850 . << Average FPS on most area 40 or below , Cities = 20 below.
Looking to buy new GPU , 970 and 960 , difference , huge ? Mainly for Guild Wars 2.
Thanks in advance.
Very asian man looking for a very asian guild … ( ?? ?????? )?
@MirandaWL, the game does use more than two cores. Do you see the game using more than 25% of your CPU? Then it’s using more than one core. I routinely see the game use between 50-75% CPU usage on my quad core depending where I am and what I’m doing.
The myth of a single core comes from the two main threads the game uses, neither thread can exceed the performance of a single core. There for the performance of a single core is the limiting factor, not how many you have or the overall performance seen on multithreaded benchmarks like Cinebench. People have misunderstood the statement that single core performance being the limiting factor and turned it into the game uses a single core.
Using a single stick of memory is a minor performance drag.
@Belzebu – no socket 1150 CPU can do triple channel. That’s a feature dictated by the CPU since the memory controller is baked in. Socket 2011 CPUs use triple channel.
So is there anything I can do to get the frame rate up to 60fps at almost anywhere ? ( other than lowering the settings in the game)
Hello Gw2 community , greetings ! As we all know that Guild Wars 2 has been a game that uses an engine that uses only ONE CORE in our PC no matter how many cores do we have. I have seen multiple videos about players having 50~60FPS in areas like LA , SW , Black Citadel or even World Boss Events but their processor isn’t as high-end as we think it is. I am currently using AMD Radeon HD 7850 as my display card and Intel® Core™ i7-3770 CPU @ 3.40 GHz 3.40 GHZ as my Processor with a single socket of 8GB RAM and I noticed that people with lower spec than mine performing better in gw2.
So I was wondering if it is possible to reduce the work of 2 other Cores in order to increase the work of the front 2 core for better performance for my Guild Wars 2 ?
They are on it and expect it to be fixed by tomorrow ^^
My experiment on Gw2 has shown that Reflection affect most of my FPS .If I turn it off , it’s 35~36 FPS . Whenever I turn it all , it just dropped to 20~23 FPS.Idk about the others but this is my current FPS problem X~X
It would be even better if there’s POV Toggle On/Off .I think it would be much of a help if players are able to see from their own character’s eye position for a better distance-judging and (ofcourse) better player experience
.Since this is still beta for the camera , I’m highly certain the DEVs will add in this feature
I’ve realised the word ‘POV’ sounded inappropriate…I apologize for that…I believe the First-Person camera should have the function for us to be able to see our character’s upper and lower torso whilst placing the camera between our character’s eyes (or u can adjust it’s X-axis to left or right[for one-eyed characters] ) in future updates .Holding left click and move your mouse will move our character’s eyeballs instead of the head like Right-click just like how the 3rd person camera works. With this function , players are be able to judge the location where their two feet are about to land after jumping more accurately . In addition , it’s a better player experience ^^. Aside from that , GREAT CAMERA FEATURES !!! I believe there aren’t mamy games camera function which work like this.Keep it up !

Okay thanks all for replying It has been cleared .
Yes they are. When you buy your outfit in the Gemstore it will become unlocked and shown in your wardrobe for you to be able to keep on switching outfits/gear whenever you’d like.
Oh great ! Does your ‘Yes’ includes : “No transmutation charges” ?
Hello , I have been wondering if the Gem Store’s Skins are reusable after you have applied them on a character? I have not bought anything from the gem store before so I was thinking of buying the Strider’s Armour skin but I’m afraid of it being a “single-use” .
In fact if it’s only a single-use , does it cost any transmutation charges if you replace the unlocked Strider’s Armour in your wardrobe on your vanilla armour’s skin ?
I don’t quite understand the description by the context “once per slot” as shown below.Don’t want to waste my gems for something I’m not certain of, thanks again for those who reply to this post
Then, it seems that would indicate something is amiss. Unless I don’t understand how the PS works. Lol.
Unfortunately, there is no way to ‘rollback’ the Personal Story. Perhaps, at the end of this arc, if you do the instance alone first, you will be set back on the Vigil story arc.
Yea sadly … I do hope I am able to get back on the “Vigil” Storyline after I’m done with this arc on my level 60 PS .
Thanks for responding to my post anyway
If you did not accept progress, did you then play the instance again, so you could accept your own progress?
Yup I did that too It doesn’t really bothers me anyway , I just want to know if it’s a bug or some mistake that I have made…
Yes I did , but i din’t click on Progressing instead I clicked Stay on mine, then we proceeded separately.
When I was doing the last part of my lvl 30 personal story quest , I choose to join the Vigil .But when I reached level 40 and started my questline on Lion’s Arch , it seems like i have joined the Whisperers instead of the Vigils.
Is this suppose to be like this ?
