Third pet for Ranger

Meh, just fix pet names and give us better offensive abilities, and we’ll be happy.

The fact the game fails to remember all my Pet names is soooo annoying that it actually puts me of changing pets sometimes – surely this can’t be that hard to fix.
Please please make the game remember my pets names!

Having three pets is a nice idea (i fancy a mix of support, melee, ranged), but not sure it’s the most important thing – and you’d need an effective way to decide which of the other pets you were swapping to.

this is horrible – can’t tell where to go – half the time the egg abilities don’t seem to work – died so often i have no armour left

the only way i managed to complete this was by looking for help online – and even then it seems a bit random how the surge ability only becomes available when you are half way across the chasm

please make this story easier to understand – i really don’t enjoy ‘platform games’, and ones with no decent instructions are just irritating

Needs implementation of saving builds

I agree with OP.
I know game now keeps track of your current PvP & PvE builds separately but it’s not enough.
I miss the GW1 build Templates – they were simple and effective.
This lack of templates or any other save\load options means making any significant changes is a slow process and so I rarely change or experiment with my builds.

Maybe I’m just lazy, but I can’t remember which traits I should use when I want to change my Weapons or Skill types – and it just means I don’t bother.

Surely it shouldn’t be that hard to implement a template system for Traits, Weapons, & Skills like the one the GW1 had?

I have been using the Authenticator App for a long time already (over a year),
and the game automatically gave me the mini-dragon as soon as it was available,
but the game launcher still keeps asking me to sign up to SMS

is this happening to anyone else?
is there a way to stop it from reminding me?

ok – it’s not a big deal as i can just tell it to remind me later every time – but it’s just a bit annoying that it’s asking me for something when the game, on some level, must already know that I have 2FA set up

Game Updates: Traits

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Just wanted to add my thoughts – for reference I am a casual player – I’ve played since launch and only have one lvl80 char – I have a bunch of others spread from 20 to 66.

In all that time I have had great fun, but haven’t really amassed a great deal of gold, gear, or skill points. I rarely get to play for more than about an hour at a time, so a lot of big world events, and even amost WvWvW is usually beyond the scope of my gameplay.

Generally it’s a good update – but there are definitely some issues with the changes to traits.

The trait unlock system – although i think it could be a good system – is currently so badly designed (or, more likely, not designed at all) that it’s offputting to say the least.
Any unlock system has to have level appropriate unlocks, and they have to be within fairly easy reach of most players regardless of how they are able, or how they choose, to play.

Trait point distribution and level progression – I can accept the new version, but it does seem worse, in that the sense of ongoing progression will be less, and the top heavy distribution of trait points seems odd and much too biased towards the top end – at least consider evening out the aquisition of points, maybe 1 every 4 lvls starting from 28 – but i also think it shoudl start at a lower level – however then you have a problem, since you can’t reduce the “gap” between gaining a point, and start at a lower level – tricky.

p.s.
Thanks to rstripn.8697 whose comments are all good, and i agree with (apart from maybe putting up the costs for buying traits – since i am poor
