Still not able to login.
Perhaps if the goal is to incorporate the dungeon into the storyline of the area, instead of making it contested until the event chain is completed (which everyone has already noted people just guest to get around). Instead completing the event story arc allows an NPC there to be talked to and a 30-minute boon applied for that dungeon. Boon would only be applied for people on their home server. (Similar to not being able to enter WvW while guesting)
So now you have a choice of guesting without the boon (could be game mechanics oriented or just money/drop/loot oriented), or completing the event chain to get the boon.
Two things for Ranger Pets.
1.) Would like to see a key bind allowed for switching your pet between Guard or Avoid combat. If I’ve missed this someone please let me know where to find it.
2.) PLEASE PLEASE make a way to permanently stow your pet. I suggest it be set from the Guard/Avoid flag. If its on Guard then let it come back on combat/damage like now. If its on Avoid Combat setting, do not bring it back out. Or at least not unless damage other then falling damage is taken. I get so annoyed trying to do a jumping puzzle only to have the pet come back every time I fall and take a little damage.
While I definitely don’t think range numbers need to be added onscreen (it can get cluttered enough), I wouldn’t mind perhaps if there was some varied colors added to the skill indicator for mid/long range since several skills do vary their damage based on this information. So instead of just Red for out of range, you might have blue & green for long and mid range and no color for short/melee range.
Would like to see some sort of limited (5 secs?) invulnerable boon applied to your character when you bring up the Map for traveling. Similar to the one applied when watching a video. But ONLY if you were not in combat at the time you started viewing the map. It gets very old to get out of combat, bring up the map and start zooming/scrolling to find your desired waypoint, and then you can’t travel because something has started attacking you or respawned right next to you, etc. In heavy aggro areas like Orr and such this gets really old after the 4th or 5th attempt to travel.
Yes, please add a collapse/expand all option. If possible also remember collapsed/expanded status the same way it remembers the current filter settings. Very tedious to collapse all the unused one, remember u need to buy additional crafting materials and then have to reset everything when you come back from picking up your purchases.
I’m part of a small guild that has never wanted to be “large” We just wanted enough close friends to hopefully fill out a dungeon/fractal group most evenings. Unfortunately as with most smaller guilds its hard to keep an active enough membership to do this. ANet seems to heavily favor large guilds with all the guild missions content, and larger guilds seem to ignore the fact that Anet allows each player to be part of 5 guilds and forces 100 representation on its members. So as soon as we get a couple new members to bolster our ranks, they leave to join larger guilds that are requiring them to rep full time in order to get their weekly missions done. It becomes a catch 22, we can’t field a large enough group to give them what they want immediately, and if they don’t stay we will never be able to do so.
We have been able to unofficially ally ourselves with a couple other smaller guilds to help. Talks of merging these smaller guilds has come up on several occasions, but no one wants to be the group that abandons their own guild that they have worked hard for to merge into one of the others. They fear they will always be seen as the red headed step child when it comes right down to it.
I would like to see a tool that would truly “merge” two guilds. In the process it would require a new guild name, erase any logo or ranks, keep the highest upgrade of either guild and combine all influence, merits, built upgrades, etc. The two leaders would be set as leaders and everyone else as base members to be reassigned ranks. This way its a true merge and neither groups can be seen as the one that gave up their guild. One issue to be addressed would be guild storage, which might have to be emptied prior to the tool being used.
I would like to add my support for this feature as well. While most responses on here are voicing their support due to large guild management, I’m more interested in it for the smaller guilds.
The current guild features seem heavily favored towards large guilds, which unfortunately myself and our current guild mates have never desired. We only wanted a small friendly guild. We currently have “allied” ourselves with 2 other similarly sized guilds in order to attempt any of the guild missions and make creating dungeon groups easier. We would love an alliance feature/chat/etc to facilitate that easier.
