If you’re having trouble, you might want to try remapping some of the keys. I know I added Shift+1-4 as a secondary binding to skill stops 7-10. Some combos don’t open up till lvl 60 or so when you can get those grandmaster traits, such as the thief’s stealth putting blindness on nearby critters, then dealing extra damage because the critter has a condition. If you’re talking about combos such as shooting projectiles through walls of flame, I believe they’re more intended for you and your allies to work together, rather than for you to try and pull them off on your own.
Didn’t get much further than the WvW bit before having to rush down here to comment. While its true that zerg size determines things most of the time, a well coordinated group of five can hold off a zerg of 20-30. I should know, I’ve done it. And imo lack of trinity is a good thing. It lets players play builds they want. I know you came from WoW, but don’t try to turn GW2 into WoW. If you like the trinity, I suggest you move to a game that has it.
Wow, for once a mass suggestion post where I mostly agree with everything. And I must sadly admit I never before thought to use PvP as a free route back to Lion’s Arch.
The only things I would contest would be the Traits reset and separating the interact/loot button. The traits reset, I would say make it a consumable manual or something, with a cost slightly higher than if you went and talked to your trainer for the convenience and being able to do it on the fly. And as for the button, I think it should be the same. If you’re having trouble getting the interact to what you want, just click your desired object. Granted, this might be a little hard in combat, but something you’d just have to live with.
I couldn’t link it to you, but pretty sure somewhere along the line ANet said they’re not allowing mods/add-ons, simply because they want people to play GW2, not Add-On Manager.
