The DX version has absolutely nothing to do with collision handling.

Actually it does, and you failed to realize my point as well. My point is that it’s lazy and cheap to use the guild wars 1 engine for a 2012 game.

We are actively looking into a lot of these issues. As ArthurDent noted, it has to do with the speed at which you’re moving.

It’s not something that’s likely ever going to be 100% resolved, but I’m hoping we can reduce the frequency by a lot.

It’s wrong to leave previous seasons stats up as the so called “God of PvP” and his underling co-horts were clearly banned for manipulating matches yet, the rightful owners of the titles do not get them and the scumbags are still shown on permanent record.

Guild Wars PvP has had a bot problem since the inception of Guild Wars.

Been playing Guild Wars PvP for a decade, but now the rare times when I lag out of a match, I can never reconnect. Is this a new feature? If so I shall uninstall both clients.

The Infinity Fabric connects CCX to uncore devices such as memory controllers, PCIe, SATA, USB etc. It is a 256 bi directional crossbar and runs at the speed of the memory controller ( ie when using 2133 Mhz memory, the memory controller clock speed of 1066Mhz is the clock speed of the frabric. Using faster memory increases fabric speed )

Because it’s my computer, not yours. Pretty simple answer.

Copying the client seemed to be the issue, although I expected a bigger performance boost than what I had it is still better than my old rig and not as bad as it was on the copied client.

I copied my install from my other computer. I’ve attached my in game settings.

Immensely superior, GW2 is literally the only game that still runs poorly. I’m maxing out everything else at 60fps.

I know that Intel CPU’s have higher single core performance and thats what you should play GW2 with, but I booted GW2 up on my new rig which has a Ryzen 5 1600, RX 480 8GB with 8GB ddr4 2400mhz ram and it doesn’t seem to run this game any better than my laptop which has an i7 4702HQ and a gtx 870m 3gb with 8gb ddr3. Any techies here think that sounds about right or is something wrong?

if you want RP go to FFXIV or even ESO.

Post evidence of your 5,000 or more Rated PvP Matches to show the community how dedicated of a player you are. Regardless of how “good” you are at PvP, nothing tops dedicated players. Therefore, this thread is for the players who continue to support the game to show off their stats.

LLama lives matter.

The Black one requires the same amount of Llamas as the white, yet has 1 more feature. I know this is a small thing, but I’ve already had my Llama’s crafted before the black one came out, and I am 10 tickets away (next season) from completing the lavish llama. I feel a little jipped I’m getting a lesser featured (and honestly less cool looking) llama for the same amount of tickets.

Will there be a mid-season fix, or is it justkitten< it till season 6? top 5 players have only played their placement matches.

There is no prestige.

1. All other legendary titles pale in comparison to Primordial Legend, as it required reaching Legendary X2, while all the other Legend titles only require you to reach Legendary X1.

2. There is no new Legendary item delivered this year, as was promised when PvP was first overhauled with competitive seasons.

Conclusion: While current PvPers are scrambling for a handicapped Legendary title, a backpiece that has become less clear to obtain, and ascended armor they probably already have superior versions of/will never use in PvP, There has literally been nothing to obtain (except for the llamas), for Veteran players after the first week of season 3, as we have obtained everything else.

Just my 2 cents, I play every now and again, but ever since I got Primordial Legend season 1, and my backpack in the 2nd week of season 3, there is no reason for me to PvP other than for fun. (Yes, I understand video games are for fun. But I want actual new rewards/prestige.)

Placement ladder says you still have 1 match left after you get your placement (even with that 1st match you played that didn’t count.)

Would have went 11-0 for placement if people didn’t D/C and would have more than likely placed top 100 rather than top 250. Literally due to people just d/cing and the match getting thrown.

IMO this system needs to be fixed, and reset for the current season without these garbage bugs that completely affect what would otherwise be a legitimate outcome.

Seeing that it affects placement but not ranking, doesn’t really make much sense…

Losses from D/Ced team mates are affecting both of these. Not cool Anet. Matches where we clearly would have won otherwise, ends up negatively affecting placement division and Skill Rating because someone left the match.

I did not fail to read anything. Currently, you can purchase a Malign 7 agony infusion for the equivalent of around 13 gold. Before the rework, these infusions costed us anywhere between 50-80 gold to craft.

Take that times 14-16 infusions for a full gear set, and its over 1k gold that has been lost for no gain. I encourage you to read my post in detail again, as this topic does confuse some people who have not crafted them pre- rework.

Those of us who crafted full gear sets worth (ex: 16 +5 condition damage +5 agony resistance infusions) before the fractal infusion rework spent anywhere between 50-100 golds worth of materials on each infusions.

This equals up to anywhere between 1k – 1.5k gold on average. Now, those infusions have even higher stat combos that cost next to nothing. Those of use who wanted to have complete max stat gear for WvW and PvE got screwed.

We could have crafted legendaries, full ascended sets of armor, bought tons of gems ect. I am a gw1 vet and have over 3k hours in GW2. But this is probably the only legitimate time I have had a reason to be upset with the game developers.

No compensation, and no word other than a “we’re just changing the whole system.”

It’s funny because GW1 had exactly that, PvE skills, and usually some sort of nerfed PvP skills version, but it still worked. Unfortunately, the PvP focused Arena net from GW1 is gone, so we have these casual devs who want to make shiny new things as opposed to polishing their already existing content which needs much polishing. All this update does is Push GW2 closer to a trinity focused gameplay; which the game was designed to not use in the first place. They are trying to promote these “raids”, which are designed completely different outside of the core GW2 PvE, WvW, and PvP content, and it ends up negatively affecting the other 3 modes.

It’s because you guys are in such high tiers there is nobody else for the matchmaking system to match you up with. I was there, then I stepped outside. Take a break from the game dudes, many other things to enjoy when youve reached the top, no need to waste your time.

I don’t really see how a short sentence every hour can be annoying given all of the garbage in map chat.

In Guild Wars, you would get a message 2 hours in saying to take a break. Many activities in GW2 are designed to take multiple hours consecutively to complete. Does Arena Net not care about safety anymore or is “its in the manual blah blah” good enough nowadays? I guess I just miss the reminder is all.

Remember to break every 30 minutes for a few minutes for your health, you cant game if you’re dead

This is literally one of the easiest things to program. It’s just a timer and pre-recorded message.

I spent near 2k gold on getting an extra 80+ stats with infusions so I could have max possible gear in Fractals and an Advantage over 99% of other players in WvW. Now it only benefits me in WvW.

^This, tired of useless items that are basically useless currency. I have more kitten in my inventory than actual useful items.

Which track are you doing now to net the most gold/rewards? I have completed every dungeon/armor/weapon collection possible from each track now, and am curious to what people have found to net the most value for repeating.
