Agree no reason to play MMO if noone to play with. Then you might aswell play an elder scrolls game. In WoW different servers have combined areas so you will see atleast someone. Too many of these games were you solo most of the content then join with the endgamers. Endgame isn’t neccessarily the best part of a MMO.

In this thread planetside 2 and Secret world are mentioned.

I played some Secret World. It’s PVE in a silent hill meets dan brown world. The pvp is very small. You are not overpowered as a player and you can really just be anything as long as you play long enough, be it wizard or soldier or combined.

Planetside 2 like just about any SOE games have terrible performance optimization. Vehicle combat seems more important than onfoot combat. Graphics are pretty nice. You die very easy in soldier mode so you have to get good at it.

I would keep an eye out for elderscrolls MMO in the future. Im looking very much forward to it.

WvW with the keeps looks alot like daoc in a way. I joined daoc just when new frontiers came out so unfortunately I missed the golden era. As a new player in Daoc(joining together with a buddy), we thought it was quite obvious that there were something wrong with daoc. You always had grey con gear or green or blue if lucky. Mobs hit very hard. Also we didn’t have a buffbot, and I think it is a very bad design with the buffboting.

But we kept playing although it was a long way to 50. We finally arrived there and went into RvR, mostly grouped ofcourse it was fun enough.

But then WoW came out and we went there and it was way more exciting. 1) you could get the geared with some effort. 2) Instances were alot of fun and something new. 3) the pvp was actually quite good and you didn’t have to find groups – just sign up and youre in. Also world pvp was new and fresh.

Unfortunately WoW at lvl 50 began to be a little long grind for levels but that is not the worst. Once you hit lvl 60 only a few got into raiding and got the best of gear. The rest didn’t have alot to do.

Oh yeah it’s about daoc and guildwars 2. I did went back to daoc and to this day I have 14 lvl 50 and got some buffbots. The RvR in daoc can be very awesome, if you get a group or is high enough RR to solo.

I havent had so much time to play gw2 yet but that has just changed. Maybe the leveling part in gw2 seems a little bit boring sofar, and nothing different from other MMO. But I have the feeling it will start to grow on me at some point and TOTALLY AWESOME there is no sub.

I have played two sessions sofar. I liked the big city and was fighting though the farmlands. But it has started to get boring soon enough. Graphics are detailed but the style of it isn’t that compelling. The pve wasn’t very exciting so I went to do some tournaments and I think it’s probably guildwars2’s best part.

I was kinda of dissapointed with the all the human hairs. I found one tho and it’s probably what you call emo hair.. I would like to see more old fashioned hairdo’s in the game. Some of the hair cuts just looks like your average redneck with foam in their hair.

Many thx for the input. Google authenticator on andriod wanted to use the scanner Xzing. Now I got my gw2 account linked, but apparently it doesnt ask for authenticator code when logging in, so there must be an issue with gw2.

Im simply not recieving the code so I can finish the setup in authorization process. Im using something called Neosphere/Neoreader on my phone. Neither manualy or scan work. That means it can scan and understand what I type but it thinks it is invalid somehow.

Ok I did that but it didn’t work either.

I just bought the game digital. Currently dl it as I type. I try to setup authenticator but when I scan the picture it appears (it will respond), that it’s an invalid scan code when going into details. Also there is no linking code recieved.

Am I doing something wrong? Or is it not working ?
