I agree wholeheartedly.
Basically engineers need small buffs in several areas rather than one big buff to damage. We don’t need to equal the damage output of warriors, but we do need our other tools to make up for our “weakness” in that area.
I said ABOUT 30%. Every kit got nerfed supposedly to balance the sigil additions but in reality even the best minmax build can’t come close to what we’ve lost.
It looks fine on paper, but seriously compare it to the capabilities of the other classes and you’ll see it’s pitiful. ALL of our kits got nerfed due to the sigil thing and overall it’s made engineers (already one of the worst classes) even worse. They’re below mediocre now while warriors got unneeded buffs.
Engineers have no useful niche left.
They nerfed EVERY kit by about 30% dmg, not just grenades you know.
In addition:
-turrets have always been useless
-engineer damage outside of kits is pitiful compared to most classes (our normal weapon skills are based on control more than damage, but other classes get this without the same tradeoffs engineers do)
-healing nerfs to engies
Simply, what are engineers supposed to do? They’ve been made utterly mediocre in ANY role.
I’m done with the game.
GW2 has 3 viable classes: Warrior, Guardian and Mesmer (and even mesmers are behind the other two.) Engineers are possibly the worst class in the game when we were middle of the road before.
Engineer was the only class that really clicked for me, but now they’re so broken that even getting mine to 80 would just be an exercise in frustration.
