Hello I just wanna start by saying I’m a big fan of GW2, but why do i need to complete a lvl 59 story quest to get my adept trait? really!? im lvl 30…WTF!
The devs want to punish us all because some say the game is too easy.
Asking a level 30s to get his adept traits unlock in level 40-80 zones is ridiculous. Just imagine when a new player explore the unlock requirement then he got hit with the realization he can’t do most of them, especially the ones suitable for his play style or helps to get through some parts of the game. WTF?
Anet why are you punishing our new toons and the new players?
Why are you forcing us to play certain contents we do not like?
Why are you taking away our freedom to play in whatever style we want to?

Some people talks full of it without ever trying to level a new toon under the new trait system…
With no extra skill points and gold, how is this appealing to new players? Old player hates it new players find it dull and tedious. Badly implemented Anet.
Whoever decided to go ahead with this ‘new’ trait system design probably never play through with a new character! Did you devs ever test play trying to level to 80?
It is horrible! Boring! Tedious! Expensive! It left a bad taste in the mouth for old players!
Why are we forced to run all around the place doing things for every single trait skills? When I look through found a trait suitable for my play style and decided to try to earn it by completing a mission, BANG! You are too low level for it! Perhaps ok if for gm trait skills but all of them? Where’s the freedom we had before? Who thinks that paying with golds and skill points to unlock is a good alternatives? NOT ME!
I am a causal PVE player, no dungeons no wvw. Got two level 80 warriors, a Charr and a Human. Started a new Norn warrior now at level 36 pure PVE, when I realized how tedious and UNFUN it is for a new character affected by the new trait system I decided to stop playing him. Each level up with no trait points gained now feels so empty. No more creating new alternates for me! Thanks the gods I have created all eight professions(six of them level 80) BEFORE the bloody patch.

Now I regret not leveling my Mesmer and Thief to 80 before the patch…
WTH are you thinking devs? Is all that suppose to make the game more FUN now?
What’s the rationale behind all these changes?
Just to voice my gripes with this April 2014 patches:
Town Clothes becoming tonics that can’t be dyed.
Other Town Clothes becoming outfits that can no longer be mismatched.
Gimme my money back!

“If I don’t get the full 25 stack (say 15) then remove the mainhand Bloodlust but keep another Bloodlust wep (eg in offhand), I kept whatever stacks I’d generated but no new stacks develop.” Is this a bug?
Also we can’t ‘double stack’ anymore, equipping a mainhand and offhand weapons both with a Sigil of Bloodlust we used to be able to get 2 stacks on each kill. Another nerf out of nowhere. Second set of weapon made useless again.
And I want this clarified as contributed from other players:
For example I have an axe with Superior Sigil of Bloodlust, I got a underwater spear with the same Superior Sigil of Bloodlust. I killed 25 creatures onland got the 25 stacks with the axe, unequip the axe and still retain the 25 stacks because of the spear. Is this going to get nerf as well?
Stop making the players paying for YOUR mistakes Anet… I refuse to buy anything from the Gem Store now on. Bloody unhappy.

About stacking Sigils…
… You can only have one attribute stacking bonus at a time. The bonus is lost when you are downed, when you travel to a different zone, or when you unequip the weapon.
So the lost stack on unequiping weapon with a stacking Sigil is the new change from this April patch right? Why I am feeling Anet owe us some Upgrade Extractors, because of this new change I have to relocate/change ALL my characters’ weapon setups that are using a Sigil of Bloodlust/Corruption.
Was this an exploit? How come I never seen this being mentioned in the official wiki? Always thought that this is a intended mechanism! If I knew this is gonna get fixed I would have use Sigil of Force/Strength instead… Many players acquire an additional weapon with Sigil of Bloodlust/Corruption got to the 25 stacks then swap back to their desired weapon sets. With this nerf bat all our stacking Sigil weapons are useless now, is this a move to get us to buy Upgrade Extractors from the Gem store? Not nice Anet…

The only difference now is the unequip thing and as the thread already said, you can get around that by having one on an underwater weapon.
This will probably be fixed soon though…maybe. And NO. Anet does not ‘owe’ you anything if you were abusing an oversight in a game mechanic. In fact, it is an exploit, and, according to the TOS, they can ban you, so you might just wanna chillax before you submit a ticket or go all ‘entitled’ on them. best wishes

You mean make an item already Soulbound to Account Bound? I’d like that too, but make it to be only usable on Exotic and below grade items (weapon, armor, trinket etc).
