Hi and thanks for your answer.
When I was playing, a big notification screen came up saying my account was banned.
I don’t have the option to log in for a name change as it simply comes up saying the game has encountered an error, no way to change my name through the log in screen.
I have posted a ticket but it seems that no one is answering.
I’ve been trying since yesterday to understand why one of my character names has been banned, and on top of this, why a 72 hour ban is in place. This seems an extremely excessive use of force for something that is a genuine mistake.
I have 5 different characters and honestly, I have no idea which character is meant to be offensive. All I get is directed to a page for a naming policy. This is so broad a ruling that it could apply to almost anything. If anyone picked enough at the majority of names I’ve seen, they could potentially be banned too and this would not reflect well on your customers.
If it’s down to one or two people reporting a name as they felt offense to it, it’s down to your company to play the Judge on the matter.
As and when the ban is lifted, I could change the wrong character name, and then end up being banned again. Without an explanation as to what I’ve done wrong, how am I meant to amend it?

Hey o/
I’m currently on the look out for a guild, so this seemed as good a place as any to start.
My main char. is an 80 Necro (mostly exotic with work in progress) with a Thief I’m levelling as well. A friend of mine would be interested in joining also, a Mesmer, as we are currently in a guild (more so a meeting point as we levelled than a guild, 5 members) and are looking for a more established, decent sized Guild (100+ active members or thereabouts), to get involved in Dungeon Runs and WvW primarily. We’re loving the game, so as long as it’s a matter of being involved, then honestly we’d be glad in the taking part of anything really.
I play the game often, being on at least every other night. My friend is on, pretty much every night. I play as much as I can, so if there were any scheduled events, then I’d do my best to attend a high percentage of them (honestly, if it wasn’t for working hours/ girlfriend, I would be at every one but I would soon be single or out of a job :p). I tend to log off at around 11pm (UK time), getting online around 6ish (could be earlier for events).
I don’t want to feel like a guild is a job away from work, but a good friendly feel to it where the game can be enjoyed as it should, having a laugh and good times all round.
Look forward to hearing from you!
