Forget the alliance stuff, I know some people in Ebay (where I am) are playing for second as of today. I still think OP was wrong or trolling, as I said earlier in this posting (about 2 days ago) I wake up and play before work (so from 11am-3/4pm est) and every morning the entire map is green. From 11am to primetime (I stayed home one night) it was great 3 way fighting. I can’t say when they do it, but somehow, every night they take over the whole map in every zone (Ebay and Mag stuff). Definitely must have a night crew. Every day this week, starting around 11, people start taking it back (I’ve been there on for the last 3 to do this). It’s like clockwork.

Drium you’re on crack man. I joined EB 4-5 days back. I’ve been in WvW every day usually in the mornings EST. Every morning I come in and see TC with the entire map. Every time I log out, EB has taken some of its stuff back to even things out. As a test, I stayed online into primetime. I logged off at 9pm EST after taking all our side of EB back + SM. Log in the next morning and all green, in fact the entire map is green. I definitely think you need to relearn your colours, because it is quite clear TC are the night raiders you so desperately fear and that doesn’t just develop overnight.

vash, I am totally not kidding you, but I more than enough karma to get a full set of the exotics… that’s what, 6x 42k? And that was about a week and a half ago. I’ve seen others who did that way before me, so its not that hard to do. You just need to take a break for a while to reset the anti farm code…. if you’re at 19 karma then you’re not doing it right.

Any of these guilds hiring? superass long time DAoC player, used to be the go to (or 2nd go to) skald for relic carrying on percival. Led many raids, but not looking to get back into that, just looking for some players with a clue and not a “spam general for players” guild.

this is a bad idea for one reason. If this was the case, people would just simply sit out of combat in a keep or something and wait for the death penalty expire. It would encourage players to avoid fighting.

Unlike the others, I do find it to be a pain (I try to grind money, but its not always easy, and easily spent). I just don’t think this is the solution. There is already a run back time to entire the fray, which means the army is at a loss… having armor damage isn’t really needed/a great idea. Or allow us to repair with karma (easier to farm up).

pfft all I know is FA totally owned that orb last night, I believe it was IoJ’s. Seas of Sorrows decided to keep attacking our single tower for most of the night too until they finally woke up and took AB while we defended the orb. Quite obvious no one is ganging up on anyone else. Also keeping tabs on eternal as we played last night and that looked amazingly equal and all over the place. In the end, FA totally won in IoJ borderlands imho but the scores were within 100 points for most of the night overall.

just to confirm something, I raised that character’s level 10 levels and I am still getting 7-8 xp for a kill (also the same vs PvE mobs in eternal) but for solo kills it is the same too.

Only difference is I do more damage and can survive a bit better. So its not scaling for my level

I think it used to but I never tested it out, and up until today/yesterday 80% of my WvW (20 hoursish) was at level 80. Kind of a shame really, since I love my new character (main is a hunter, but leveling an Ele… its a tough class survivability wise so far)

also no idea how to edit, but queues = full battlegrounds, if you have a smaller queue than them, you still have equal people in the zone… just less people waiting to get in when it dies down.

I wouldn’t say its a server imbalance, I think you read it wrong.

It’s obvious FA has more queueing up than your server. That is all the graphs show.

It appears your server isn’t interested in WvW (player to player). Tell the PvE’s to get out there and stop running dungeon loops.

yeah the defense event thing wasn’t broken, as I said there was a lot of “defense” away from the keep (we were pushing a fort while holding back the zerg trying to flank) but yeah at first I figured it was because others were helping (and I probably wasn’t contributing the most damage to the kills) but I found I was still receiving the same xp in solo kills.

And I agree about it not being fast, just wanted to try one of the other options (since xp crafting got nerfed…rightly so)

Is there an more efficient way of building siege weapons?

I liked what they did in DAoC, you could carry enough supplies (crafting mats) yourself, but if it was for something large (like a treb, or enough to repair a door) you essentially walked at half speed all the way through dangerous territory. Since siege dies pretty easily, I think players should be able to carry more supplies but the more you carry, the higher a penalty there is.

The worst thing is that supply is effectively useless for repairing at the moment if you’re being attacked and is better off being used on temporary siege to hopefully wipe the attackers. Personally I think there should X supplies for keeps/repairs and Y supplies for siege weapons.

I was always under the impression that you could “level up” in WvW no problem. I’m not talking about going faster than normal killing/grinding of mobs in PvE and I certainly don’t expect to be getting heart quest XP but I found an odd thing last night.

I’m trying to level my first alt, shes level 6. I go into WvW to join the fight and surprisingly do well (other than trying to run into a keep being taken) and even manage to solo a few people in the open. For each and every kill I received exactly 7 or 8xp. At my current level, it would require 2600 to level. I’m pretty sure mob kills grant 25-30xp (not including the bonus).

Even worse, part of an epic and dynamic defense (involving some in the open fighting and some wall defense) that last over an hour, I received 3 bronze medals for repelling. Each was 150xp. I realize WvW is more endgame (I do it on my 80, but I wanted to play as a different class) but why even offer xp if it is going to be so useless.

Even more impressive is I had no alt weapons, or utility skills and still managed to down 4 players in 1 on 1’s. All with near starting gear, I think there should at least be some equal rewards for that feat.

TLDR: XP is not properly scaling for levels in WvW

Anyone else feel like Orr is boring?
