This is like a discussion I had with my friend about why there isn’t a first person mode. His argument was that he wouldn’t want it because you wouldn’t be able to use your skills in the right way… but really thats never been the purpose of first person mode for me; its another option.
Its something which lets you experience the game in the way you want to experience, become more immersed, increase the difficulty by not being able to see enemies behind you. I mean in a game with so much cosmetic detail, not being able to view the world in first person means you have to awkwardly position the camera to properly see npc characters faces, details on buildings etc. You should always be able to scroll the camera right in, just like you could in GW1.
The same goes for being able to toggle camera smoothness!

Fully agree here, at least if the animal can’t jump down the cliff it should then not attract aggro from a certain distance away from the player.

I’ve been thinking about this since Guild Wars 2 was announced, and seeing the class’s as they are at the moment and what they can do are great (if somewhat unbalanced).
But I think that there are definitely some areas where new class’s could fit in nicely (in terms of skills and world lore).
That being said, I think each of the class’s (including current and possible additions) need a certain specific skill that is available from the start and levels as the character levels, but not directly combat based or healing based. Think along the lines of an almost purely fun skill that could come in handy (such as the Warrior having a skill which makes him turn into a giant for 30 secs).

The class’s I think could be added are:

The priest; A classic buff and debuff class would fit in well to the area party aspect of guild wars 2. They should be able to use different prayer books and carry religious symbols, healing and blessing players and the ground around them, so if they are attacked whilst theyve left a blessing on the ground, the person attacking would be harmed in some way (ie lightning bolts reign from the sky). Because it is not the goal of a priest to actually inflict harm on enemies, he should be able to convert enemies, once a convert is completed they will follow the priest and fight for them until they are killed.
Rather than converting people in WvW however, it might be an idea to make them go into an alternate state of being downed, where the enemy player starts bowing and praying to the priests God making him vulnerable to other players attacks.
Special skill: walking on water; allows player to avoid combat really fast (as anyone chasing him would have to swim unless they are also a priest) . Or perhaps the enemy player could loose control for a certain about of time, his player then fighting his own team for say 10/15 secs.

The shaman; This class should mostly be focused on reconnaissance and assassination. The main ability being able to transform into either a ground, water or air animal. In WvW this would be useful as being a raven that could fly over a battle and get an aerial view would be helpful but not completely unfair.
Special skill: Possibly being able to commune with animals around; being able to ride them to safety and getting them to gather you useful things either in a quest or out in the wild.

The druid; This would fit perfectly as a sylvari as some of them in the story are supposed to have built the grove. Obviously you’d initally think, well whats the point if we have the Elementalist, but really the druid should only be able to control the nature of the earth. The use of vines to tangle multiple people might be a good skill. Camouflaging yourself as a tree or flower in WvW would be very useful.
Special skill: Possibly being able to track and find flowers, food and trees from a distance.

The musician: Like a typical bard class; motivational and very noisy! I think this would go great in WvW, multiple Musicians around, some banging drums, others playing guitars/lutes & ocarinas.
Special skill: being able to busk in a town or on the road, either for money or karma would be quite cool, and add to the overall already immense atmosphere of the game.

I’m sure everyone has more ideas and more things to add, so feel free to post them below, i’ll add any to the OP or expand on the ones to include your ideas.

Enjoy the post and play on!
This could all come included in a major update or as part of an expansion.

I am disappointed with the way the elementalist is balanced theres no point me going over it, its all been said well but if this is true "at this point anet have said “go kitten yourself” so many times that most people have either left the game, given up and just poking around waiting for something new and better to release, or rerolled and just said “kitten it”. its certainly made me feel like giving up, guess I can try another class but I am not impressed,
