Guild Wars 2

My friend just started playing and I wanted to craft them a weapon.
Problem is: I’m lvl 80, they’re lvl 5.

Is there a way for me to craft them a weapon at or near their level?
I’m not trying to give them some uber-weapon, just a little incentive to keep playing.

I’m relatively new to the game but I’m thinking of starting a guild.
I don’t want to do so unless I can find a few people who would be interested first instead of asking every passer-by in game.

The guild would be for people who are also new to this game and want enjoy the game with others.
