I recently replied to a post regarding “Forging the Pact” in the Personal Story forum, where my gf and I both got the wrong quest line after picking “fear of being dishonored”. We have been playing together since level 1 and it’s our first time playing through the game. Just to make something clear right away, the only reason why we started playing was because we could play together, but apparently we get punished for it and the game prevents us from doing so?
Up until this point neither one of us had any complaints about the game and enjoyed it a lot. I find it extremely unfair that nothing can be done about this issue, maybe we would have known about this if it wasn’t our first characters. Basically now we need to do each others separate paths together, instead of being able to explore new options on our next characters.
We thought we would just complete zones and then continue the story after we got set back on the correct paths. We accepted the fact we would probably be 80 by the time we got to continue the story. What a joke. If absolutely nothing can be done about this, is there any information about when our stories will meet back up? I find it completely ridiculous that out of the 3 options from “Forging the Pact”, we ended up on different paths, and neither one of us even got on the actual path we chose! We thought WoW was glitchy… but all of their glitches combined don’t even compare to this. We would rather be able to play together and deal with all of that than be forced into separate quest chains.
And here I was talking about how the questing system on GW2 is so much better than WoW…
