Agree been good fun today on CD BL, logged in to find Yak’s entry locked down with CD with siege in Redvale and TC locking down Redbriar area, took about 3 hours to get them and DB. All great fun.
It’s really weird some people don’t want to hear about night capping. This thread is for discussing the match. It’s highly relevant to discuss why one server is gaining more points than another server. Maybe some people want to feel they are great players and the explanation that there is a population imbalance during the time period most players on the server are asleep takes away from that feeling?

I’m normally a very polite person it’s purely this arguement about “nightcapping” that gets me annoyed. Until game companies give us Oceanic servers, persistent PvP worlds that have a scoreboard will continually have the arguement that the game world must revolve around the US because the servers are based there..
My best suggestion would be to have all 3 map borderlands as a single population that varies dependent on population based on the slightly under the middle server population in them. eg Yak’s have 200 wanting to get in, FA has 100 and ET has 50 then the pop cap is say 95 across the 3 maps. Other times the cap would be a lot higher as they can currently support 400 + between them. This should always allow at least an even 2 sided fight and when the 3rd server joins even better.
Very sorry for those in the US that still don’t understand that the world is round and Anet is selling their product worldwide and the default servers for anywhere east of Europe happen to be based in the US.

How does a server get night capped on your Friday night?
Its only just gone 10PM Eastern Australia and the QQ has started.
Well it’s now 1310 23 Oct for a paying customer who recieved an an email advertising new content would be available on the 22nd.
Anet needs to get their wording better in their marketing department so they don’t issue promotions with timings the live game team have no plans to meet.
It was pretty obviously just night capping, you can just look at the server data and see that the match was completely even until your server 100% capped everything between 1-6am Saturday morning. GoM is such a dead server (especially with large guilds transferring away) unless its between 6pm-12am and that’s not anyone else’s fault. It just is what it is. The server used to at least be competitive on Friday-Sunday to start a matchup, but now people don’t even play much on the weekends.

100% Night capping is just getting so old for people now, I don’t think a lot of people even care to try anymore. Just a really sad flaw with the WvW aspect of the game.
6PM -12AM in whose timezone, why is the concept of a world outside of the USA so hard to understand for some players. The game is marketed worldwide but those from outside the USA are continually accused of the equivalent to cheating for just playing the game in our primetime. WvW match up reset is roughly just after 10AM on a Saturday morning for me but I am accused of using bad tactics if I then play for around 12 hours to help my server.
This is a criticism of the false concept of “night capping” not the poster who I quoted. If your server has no oceanic base, try to recruit some guilds that have OC/Asain timezone players by advertising no waiting for WvW.
Patch should be very soon, otherwise they will miss kicking Oceanics off in the middle of primetime.
