Survival: Mist Walker Skills Updates

IMO, the worst thing about Mist Walkers is that alarm trap as it actually encourages survivors to hide and not move at all in the end, i’d like to see that replaced by a large targeted AoE that does an increasing amount of damage over time and would not need to be triggered to activate. I agree with making Karkas attackable too, after all a survivor would have to waste precious resources to get rid of one.
I also feel that there’s flaws in scoring and gathering of revenge motes (can it really be intended that, the earlier you die the better your chances to outscore survivors?). I’d propose a steady income of points like 1 every 15 seconds or so for survivors, and maybe a free revenge mote every 30 seconds for Mist walkers, both after the grace period only ofc.

By end of Friday, Kiel was leading by 48k votes, this is quite depressing to say the very least.

Please do not pass up on the most epic content you will encounter in the game.
Vote for Evon!!!!

Honestly, how can you tell Abaddon will actually be more epic? (I’d totally go for Abaddon Fractal myself if we were voting for fractals alone, mind you) For now we don’t really know anything about them fractals except their general theme. I have some ideas how that reactor mishap could get epic, too, but its all guesswork anyway. Even tho Abaddon fractal does seem more promising on first sight, its all possible that Thaumanova would be just as epic for reasons … unseen yet. Regardless who wins we will probably get an awesome fractal.

To shed some light on my bias, our team brainstormed up a bunch of fractals for you guys to pick from and then we settled on the best two. I got pretty excited about Thaumanova, given what we intend for it to entail so I’m Kiel supporter all the way.

Abbadon will also be great if Evon wins though.

TL;DR
Most people I come across are voting for Kiel because ermagerd bewbs and ermagerd lower wp costs.

Double facepalm all the way.

For those that do, I’m totally with you, those are pretty lame reasons.
Only problem is that, most people i come across who think those are the prime reasons to vote Ellen are Evon supporters.

I’ve seen plenty of Gnashblade supporters be insulting (because Kiel makes it pretty easy to insult her). I’ve also seen plenty of Kiel supporters be insulting.

I’m sure that for every supporter you’ve seen of Evon that’s insulting, I’ve also seen one for Kiel that is equally insulting.

That’s totally possible, i didn’t scan the whole forum and i’m sure there’s insulting Kiel supporters too, but just from this thread my issue is actually that most posts in favour of Evon have a line that basically says Kiel voters are short sighted or just voting Kiel b/c they got no girlfriend etc. No offense meant to those who actually only vote Evon for the fractal (most of these are ignoring the characters the vote actually is for anyway) or those that really think Evon would be a boon to LA.
But if the only point they can make in favour of Gnashblade is that Kiel voters must be dumb because they pass the opportunity of that probably awesome abaddon fractal i just dont feel inclined to vote evon just for that.
People wouldnt probably vote someone into their ruling council just because he promises to build the most awesome theme park ever while his opponent only promises to build another zoo for endangered species. And that not even hits the spot because actually no one except the dev team could say which fractal would, in the end, be more awesome. Evon’s just has a lot more potential of awesome on first sight.

Sorry Globo but bad luck with the RNG is bad luck with the RNG and at least these Skins are obtainable in trading post. Personally, I never had a weapon ticket drop in any of the events so far and its not like i’m playing only an hour a day. Don’t get too frustrated and have fun!

The really sad thing is actually the comparison between the supporting posts for Kiel which try to keep an objective tone (even tho arguments are biased naturally), and the posts supporting Gnashblade which tend to be insulting (but not less biased). If players ragequit after this event because their candidate didn’t win, I know which kind i could live without…
The short stories made Evon’s history a lot less mysterious, and i even kinda like him now as a character, but not as someone steering the fate of LA. I’ll probably still vote Kiel for ingame politics reasons, but if Evon found some way to ‘redirect’ that fractals research effort toward the Fall of Abaddon he’d totally have my support, as well as any thread i notice pleaing for the Abaddon fractal if Kiel should indeed win.

I know its been said before but, for me, that Abaddon fractal is a huge vote breaker, and I also see Black Lion Keys as a potentially more attractive thing to discount (even tho personally i’m not too much into the boxes). So how should i vote? That Charr who’s taking 15% of my trading post profits and will probably start to sell entry tickets to LA a few months after he’s a member of the council, just because he had the right idea about an epic fractal that could finally shed some light into the story of an outcast god? Or should i vote for that Lionguard woman who obviously works in the best interest of Lion’s Arch, even tho she needs adventurers to do what she can’t?

Obviously, if i respect the living world as a world i spend time in, Kiel would be the way to go, simply because she’s proven to be one of the good guys, or in her case gals.
If i look at what the candidates have to offer, tho, Evon’s fractal far outshines that reactor explosion and the players who play a lot will more likely want to take advantage of cheaper BL boxes.

So, the casual player inside me who plays the game for the stories it tells and for the world it represents would definitely vote Ellen. That part of me that plays fractals and wants shinies even tho i might have to farm for them is biased towads Gnashblades’ promises.
All in all it seems to me, that Ellen Kiel is is the candidate more likely to appeal to casual players who like the world they play in, while Evon Gnashblade is for those who spend a lot of time in the game to get shinies for themselves, without caring much for ingame politics.

Well, lets see which side can buy more votes…
Wish the fractals werent tied to candidates the way they are
