Worked perfectly first time, I’m using an iPhone with Google Authenticator. I used the QR scanner, and it worked immediately. Very pleased.
I agree that a “Remember this computer for X days” would be a welcome feature, or only require authentication for a new IP address. Something to keep the utility of the authentication, but cut down on the annoyance. Regardless, great feature and thanks!
There is a stow button, and in many ways the current system works.
So if they just added an checkbox in the options menu “manually stow and call pets” then everyone wins. No drama, no fuss.

The 10.8.2 version maintains a fairly consistent 10fps over the 10.8.1 version.
I can confirm this. The update makes a significant difference. Happy news!
Getting about the same FPS, but with (roughly) 30% lower settings. Everything was on almost full when in bootcamp, now I’m running at medium to high with shadows at low. The other thing I’ve noticed is stuttering. My FPS at these settings is a very decent 40-60 but then will drop suddenly to 15-20 for a few seconds at a time.
I think the theory that nvidia card Macs are seeing poorer performance in OSX compared to ATI card Macs is a reasonable one, and also gives me hope that there’s a solution.

Can you let us know what Mac you’re running this on? I’d like to know what to expect, as it seems results are varying wildly between systems.
There’s another good thread on this already that I think ANet may be monitoring for responses: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/professions/ranger/Pets-and-a-Lack-of-F2-Responsiveness
- Polar bear can be very slow.
- Raven is slow but not nearly as bad.
- Marsh drake is ridiculously slow to the point of me giving up on that pet entirely
