I haven’t bothered with anything major really until loot issues are fixed. Used to level alts, but needed a break from that.

So been working on map completion. It’s nice doing it on my 80 Mesmer cause there is no work to get the next level and get new gear. It is just going out and exploring and enjoying yourself. You’re not trying for anything cause you are already geared at 80. You are just enjoying the sights.

So much this. Honestly, it’s pretty easy to get to lvl 80 with all exotic gear. So you’re left with, you know, just playing the game. Sure, you can grind away for legendaries, but that’s not my thing. I’m just slowly hacking away at map completion in between dungeons and WvW. Still have a good third of the world left to see— maybe I’ll get bored after that, maybe not. But I’m still having fun, so I still play.

I find the forums here pretty friendly compared to some (good lord, the Bioware forums post ME3…) Anyway, pretty easy to find the good threads. “New build for Engineer, what do you guys think?” vs. “Why is this game so terrible for unspecified reasons?” If you click on the latter, hey, you’ve only yourself to blame.

I really enjoyed the final fight, but yeah— the loot was uninspiring. I don’t need some Legendary “kill all monsters, no saving throw” item, I just wanted something that looks cool. Call it a bragging rights skin, like the guild emblem skins.

But you can wear armor and ride, you just drop the broom when you attack—

If you’re riding your broom and toggle armor, you will be in your armor and still riding your broom. No skills, though.

I’d love this. My Mesmer would totally rock in sunglasses. Since you can hide head armor, why not make headgear transmutable at least?

I don’t want a mount because of a speed boost (although with a main who’s a mesmer, wouldn’t mind it). I want a mount because seeing my Asura on a riding moa would rock. If they bring in extra functionality, like a special jousting arena for mounted combat, yay for more content. But mostly, I think the people who want them want them because it fits with their vision of a fantasy world, not to help “win”.

P.S. Never played WoW. Never had any interest. Did dig my horse in Skyrim, though.

Never played WoW. No really, haven’t although I’ve played other MMOs. But I love RL horses, and I think it would be totally cool to have mounts. No need for them to be game breaking, just give them the usual speed boost (which almost everyone has a version of anyway). Totally cosmetic, although I’d be into a “jousting arena” like an above poster suggested.

I also want a Char helicopter, but recognize the probable game breaking issues with that. But dang, it would rule.
