Guild Wars 2

I just completed the Vigil quest “Forewarned is Forearmed,” and the Stout Ring did not come with the Ornate Beryl Jewel. I ended up just buying one but it won’t apply to the ring. Any clue what is going on? I’ve never had a problem with rewards before.

I’m using the axe/warhorn currently, but I was just looking for a change of pace. Was wondering what to spend my Pact Token on, and thought the torch looked kind of neat.
I was attempting the sword/dagger combo in pvp, but realized the greatsword rocked more than trying to time every jump/dodge while maintaining damage.

I was curious if the torch is good in general or just for specific situations. I play WvW and Spvp, but I was wondering if they are decent for PvE. Any help is appreciated.
