As tough as it seems for you to grasp, not everybody agrees with you.
It isn’t tough for me to grasp. I am not conceded. I understand people have different play styles. People, myself included, feel they should add other methods to get ascended gear. That is all. If you are okay with it that is great I am glad you’re happy with it. But I am not and I am voicing my concern with this trend of boring time sinks for ascended gear.
Agony Resistance I’ll give you, though so far that’s sectioned off in a little corner of the game I never have to deal with, and neither does anyone else.
Roaming in WvW is subject to so many other things which feed into it that I’m not even going to get into it. Suffice it to say, if you are roaming WvW alone and have to fight more than one person, you are better off running for cover instead of fighting. And even if you have to fight one person, don’t take them on their terms, take them on yours.
I have to deal with it. So it is important to me. Just because you don’t do something doesn’t mean it isn’t as important. In those 1v1 fights sometimes it does come down to that little extra stat increase from gear.
They’re complaining about WvW, which is a complete joke in regards to PvP.

WvW is fun that is why I play it. Why wouldn’t you want more options to get ascended gear? Are you seriously okay with how it is right now?

Agony resistance? What about roaming in WvW? That little extra is important. You are basically gimping yourself in that respect if you don’t “choose” to do it.

Where is the choice? Anet tries to pride themselves on “choice” but why introduce something that is this important without much of it? Why is the only way of obtaining the best items in the game boring? “I can’t wait to get home so I can get my daily done so I can get an ascended piece!!” Said no one ever. What if you have two or more characters? If anything Anet should at least enlighten us on how they plan on addressing this issue.

I like the idea of having to do my dailies and monthlies and fractals to get my sweet ascended gear because. TOO BAD for casual players who wanna just hop in and easily get their ascended gear! If you play casual then your gonna have casual gear. If you want immediate rewards for casual play then MMOS are not for you sorry. I earned my kitten asceneded gear did you?
