The dungeons are challenging, not impossible. Because of this, successfully completing them is almost reward enough. “Almost”. This is what most people consider the biggest downfall of DG’s in GW2.
Why put chests at all? It’s a great notion if players could actually be excited about opening them. The problem is, every player already knows what he’s going to get: 5 tokens and a few random, impossibly useless blues.
-My suggestion is to put something like a 5% chance of a yellow, ~0.2% for an orange and for kitten sake, more coin.
Haha, I got this too. I sold it on the TP for 8s. I’m sure someone bought it thinking they outsmarted someone bc the next patch will reveal that item to be some rare piece of kitten

Why won’t it show me other players real levels? I understand that it has a green arrow showing if the character has been brought down levels but why can’t I also see their real level? How hard is that to implement in a game? Or am I missing something? Also, add this in WvWvW. You already made it so you can’t see your enemies name or gear, at least let me see their level.
Is there a way to turn this on/off? If so, which I doubt, I’ll feel like a kitten.
Yeah. I thought this was so stupid the second I found it out. Why would it be limited to a certain amount of anything? Vulnerability I can maybe see because before you know it you’d have the boss taking 500%+ dmg but so what? Isn’t that the point of classes having thatkittenskill? SO THEY CAN STACK THEM? Having trouble balancing things maybe, AN?
lol, people who say dg’s are too hard are just butt hurt bc AC needs to be balanced. I haven’t had any problems since then except in explorer mode in Arah, which is to be expected..
Your guess is as good as mine. Maybe guardians rely more on toughness than vitality? I play a thief and I tear through necros (until they change forms, of course) but it takes time with guardians, not just due to the heals either. This is my guess.
And please, for people complaining about “drops” in dg’s, take a second to understand where the rewards come from. You complete a dg on story mode so you can advance to explorer mode. in explorer mode, you recieve tokens after each boss and at the end after the last boss. These tokens are unique to each dg and each dg has a vendor in Lion’s Arch where you spend these tokens on gear, weapons and more. Any loot that drops in a dg is best used for vendor coin or salvaging.
Every instanced dungeon I’ve ran has been an amazing and challenging experience, save AC. The first dungeon at level 30 is the only exception. It was completely imbalanced. SO far, the only dg that I’ve experienced that was equally imbalanced was the explorer mode of Arah, which is the most advanced dg in the game so far. Needless to say, it’s expected to be very difficult.

I think both options have merit, but the second I can see them leaving for the sole purpose of being different from other MMO’s. They WANT you to ask. It garners communication and community. This is at the heart of GW. That being said, it would be optional to use it, so I can see your point.
I understand why they would do that. It would encourage more player interaction but I still side with the convenience of an “optional” inspect option.

Just a dueling area would do, i dont want to be spammed walking into the city with duel requests. Give us an arena where people can enter and fight eachother.
I also agree with this. I never really gave this idea much thought but it sounds like this would solve the problem of lagging issues in towns caused by 100 duels going on. Personally, I love that. However, I know this is one of the main reason other players oppose dueling.

YES! Dueling and Inspecting would be amazing additions to the drop-down player menu
There is no “requests” section in the forums, that I could find, so I posted this here. I searched the forums and only found one other post about it so I don’t consider this spam.
- PLEASE AN, add dueling. It serves as great practice for WvW and is a great way to burn time and be productive at the same time. Why would this not be included in the first place? Or maybe you planned on adding it eventually.
- Also, I know some players have problems with this but please, I’m tired of asking my buddies to link me their gear or let me see what weapon they’re using. Add an inspect option. For people who, for whatever reason, have privacy issues, throw a block option on where they can simply disable other players from inspecting them.
People can disagree with these but with both additions being optional, I can’t see why. And for those players who are thinking “Stop trying to make this game more similar to other MMOs”, please get over it.
