I really dislike the mega server. I find that it’s difficult to get into servers with my guildmates unless I am also in group with them.

Gameplay hasn’t been this laggy since beta.

You have to deal with people from other servers who feel that the champs are the personal property of the zerg or who want to grief the zerg, and heaven forbid you hit the champ because you’d been standing there waiting for it for almost the full reset time.

Megaserver might possibly be useful in the dragon maps and the orr maps but I would much prefer to have my server back even if there was never anyone around in pve maps.

I’ve seen some excellent points made in the forum so far.

I would definitely agree that the living story so far has been disjointed and really not continuous.

The amount of achievements packed into the 2 week period are unreal for relatively casual players. I also find myself choosing not to participate in living story because the rewards aren’t worth the amount of work entailed in achieving them. Someone mentioned the dragons in an earlier post. I too would like to see more about the dragons.

I would also like more cohesive living story chapters. It’s suitable to take events like Christmas and Halloween outside of the cohesive living story but the constant popping up of new villains and new maps/dungeons that are short term only is annoying.

I’m mainly a PvE player. I don’t PvP at all although I do like WvW and would do more of it if it didn’t lag me drastically. I would love to see some of the PvP armors made available through LS. (On a side note: I think about 50 to 75% of the armor in GW2 is fugly compared to the armors that were available in GW1.)

I do love the holiday events, but there again the really casual player has no chance at completing them.

I also liked the suggestion that the maps become contested. I think it would encourage play across all maps rather than all the map population being concentrated on champ runs in Queensdale, Meta farmers and t6 mat farmers in Orr and FGS.

The things I’d most like to see happen with LS are continuity and better rewards for busting our butts to complete 15 to 30 or even more achievements.

I finished the torch run at Lyssa Waypoint in Divinity’s Reach about 5 minutes before the daily reset with my asuran Blynn. I received credit for the torch run but not for the daily. As the daily did not require a specific torch run and the daily achievements related to the Jubilee are required to complete the track that awards the mini, I’d appreciate it if you would fix this. Thanks

Excellent event overall though! I think this is my favorite so far.

Kudos to Ravbek. That is the most appropriate distinction I’ve seen.

Has a dev actually commented as to where they’re going with this? Yes, I know they did the blog post but it doesn’t actually answer any of the concerns. The sample in the post doesn’t concern me. I would really rather not see Guildwars 2 become another grind. If I wanted to grind I’d still be playing Aion which is now F2P. Seriously, if endgame grind is what does it for you why play a game that was advertised as grind free and then complain because you have nothing to grind away your time on.

And as far as Guildwars 1 players go, I’m a Guildwars 1 player myself. I will be highly disappointed in the developers if they do introduce a gear treadmill into this game just as much as any other Guildwars 1 player, but I am also willing to wait and see how it goes. The Mursaat were in Tyria from the beginning and required infusion if you didn’t want them 2 shotting you.

I understand that it makes a lot of us who were looking specifically for a non-grind skill based game very uneasy to see any kind of gear progression introduced into a game that was advertised as grind free not even 3 full months after release, but calm down and see how it’s implemented before going off the deep end.

That said, I would also recommend to Anet that in the future they are a little more careful about publicity. All of this forum mess could have been avoided with an official statement from someone. For the most part I don’t pay attention to the media on the game. After the idiotic comment about “being forced to heal” I just decided that it wasn’t worth it if they couldn’t find someone with a little more diplomacy, tact, and common sense to represent them in public relations.

I realise that this isn’t Guildwars 1 but why throw out the good things about the game like actually informing your players what’s going on instead of leaving them in the dark and magnifying things all out of proportion to reality. I really hope someone see this and acts on it.

I’m not saying I’m quitting and I’m quite willing to give the devs a chance and see where this goes, but the core customer base of loyal Guildwars players expect better than to have their loyalty mean nothing to the developers. Guildwars succeeded so well simply because it was the one game that was skill based. If you reward “the stronger, better players” with gear with better stats that completely obliterates the skill base of the game. That said I obviously don’t have a problem grinding for gear as most of my 11 GW 1 characters had between 3 and 5 sets of elite armor each, but every single piece had the same stats as the other pieces and that my friends is what Guildwars is about to the core loyal player base.

I’d like to thank you personally for an outstanding event and to thank you for MnKy Guild as well. I’ve played Guildwars since about 6 months after the release and I was very disgusted by the choice to delete my favored class from the game. I almost didn’t buy Guildwars 2 because of that and some very negative comments from the developers in interviews concerning that decision, ie: “being FORCED to heal.” I have to say now that I would have missed out on a great game. I enjoyed the event content in GW1 and had high expectations for the event in GW2. You guys took those expectations and blew them away totally. The amount of planning and work that had to have gone into this event is seriously phenomenal and I hope you continue. I missed getting the costumes and things for this event from the gem store, but I will be getting gems in the future as a thank you for the time effort and work you put into the game design. Thank you again from myself and my guild!!!

Twighlight Arbor movement issue

In Twighlight Arbor dungeon explorable path up in the very first section of the dungeon my character would start through the vines fine then my movement keys would stop working properly. For instance, I would be holding my forward key and my character would randomly start strafing or moving backwards. This is needless to say extremely inconvenient especially at that point in the dungeon. I’d really appreciate it if someone would look into this as the rest of the light armor for female light is beyond hideous.
