First Original player can’t access “MAST-ER604” which mean almost imposible to reach scale 100.. No acces to buy agony resist at " Dessa’s Krewe Merchant "

Second Original player can’t buy " Charr-Nip" which mean no legendary back..

This issue was reported in the bug forum 2 days ago and we still haven’t a hotfix. I think I’m just about done with GW2 for now since Anet just like to break more and more feature after every patch.

Diminishing Return Bug: Possible Cause

To all other players and game devs alike,
I believe that I am close to understanding the reason behind why diminishing return is not working properly for most people. Before you dismiss this, let it be known as a fact that many players including me have ran different explorable dungeon paths after last night’s patch and received a diminished reward set of 45 to 1 tokens when we should be getting 60, as well as a slash in exp and silver.

I would also like to emphasize that we are not speed grinding these dungeons and most of us have barely run a dungeon for a while since the last last DR patch lost our interest. We also took Mr. Hrouda’s advice to wait until daily reset and server time rolling over before trying our next dungeon run.

The surprising fact is that while some of us received a DR’ed reward set, most of our teammates were not affected at all. In my case, I was the only person in my static party that keep getting DR’ed for every different dungeon path we took.

With all those facts stated, I would like to present my finding for players to shed some light on how DR might work and how Anet’s dev should approach the broken system from.

Hypothesis 1: Diminishing return is character based
Test: Tonight, I decided to give dungeon another try even though I knew that DR had not been kind to me since the patch went live. Last night, we did CoF and I received 45 tokens while my team got 60. We went to TA this time and picked the up path first. We cleared it in a little over 30 minutes. My team all received 60 tokens except me and one of my friend (let’s call him friend A). We received 30 and 45 seals respectively. Note that this was the exact same party that I ran CoF last night with.

Next run, I decided to try something interesting. We picked a new path – forward up this time. Again we completed in a little more than 30 minutes and cleared all objectives without any exploits. When we got the end boss down to about half health, friend A and I switched to our alternate characters and rejoined the dungeon to see how much tokens we would get. This time everyone received 60 tokens and full exp/silver reward.

My little experiment led me to another idea.

Hypothesis 2: Some characters have a bugged diminishing return status on them since the patch that DR was first introduced.

If you consider the possibility of this scenario, we can explain the case of everyone who did everything right but got shafted on the reward. This is 100% true for me since last two weeks!

I hope that Anet dev team can reproduce my test to see for themselves or that other players can chip in their own inputs. Thanks for the hard work!

Dear Mr. Hrouda,

I just finished CoF again after waiting for the day to roll over (5pm pst server time). Again, I’m the only one in the party that was hit by DR, only getting 45 tokens and 19 silver while everyone else got 60 tokens and 26 silver.

We’ve finished the run in little over 30 minutes. I’ve reported this multiple times and really want a clarification on if DR is being stuck on my character/account without properly resetting. I have not grind dungeon at at and the only dungeon run that I’ve finished is CoF Magg route after the patch last night.

Diminishing return is OK if it actually works.
Diminishing return is OK if you give status indicator in game for people to know.

Think about it. Anet went head over toes to over their sloppy dungeon patches and just ended ripping more holes in the game and griefing players. Do you guys get that diminishing return is NOT OK if you can’t get it to work in two weeks? Please just disable or roll it back so most of us can do our daily dungeon run in peace.

Seriously Anet team. Do you guys even talk to each other at all? What’s with the lack of consistency between your claims? If I take Jon Peters’ word for face value, that would mean that even if I complete a dungeon in less than 30 minutes, the diminishing return shouldn’t kick in until the next dungeon right?

Aside from that I’d also like to chip in that I was shafted on reward at CoF Magg route.
Everyone else received full reward but me (45 tokens 19 silver). We haven’t done a single dungeon run since last week. I’ve made at least 3 threads about how diminishing return didn’t work in the past. You guys acknowledged that it was bugged and made it sound like you had a fix. Please test out your patches before live.
PLEASE for the love of god before this game become like FFXIV where everyone dropped after the first month because the developers were too stubborn. It’s a good example that you guys should learn from because from all of that fiasco, the initial FFXIV manager resigned and the whole dev team went under restructuring. It took them nearly 2 years to turn it around into an enjoyable game!

Can we please get an official from the dev team? I really want to do my daily explorable runs and I am afraid that I’ll get shafted on rewards again. I am very disappointed with the way the game is running. Please make a test server and get volunteers to straighten these bugs out before they go live.

With the new changes to dungeons and black lion chest, I threw in some bucks for gems to show my support, but now I’m starting to regret it. I don’t feel like arenanet is respecting my and many others’ concern in this issue and still believe that they can wing a patch to solve everything while opening up more holes.

I completed CoF explorable Magg’s route with my guildmates today.
We finished the dungeon as soon as we could because one of our member have to leave early. We completed all objectives using legit methods and got the reward. Here is the problem.

The party leader – me – received 45 tokens + 19 silver + 133k exp
Everyone else received 60 tokens + 26 silver + 160k(might not be exact on this) exp

None of us have done CoF explorable since the update a week or two ago that changed diminishing return.

I get that completing a dungeon under 30 minutes was bound to have a side effect. However, I will quote Jon Peters this:

“If you speed clear dungeons at a rate of more than 2/ hour, and continue to do that for some time your rewards will slowly begin to degrade. It doesn’t kick in after running a single dungeon and it doesn’t immediately zero out rewards.”

My other concern is that it is a character/account bug that is specific to me since this had happened to me before and none of my party member when we completed other explorable dungeons.

Yes I am double posting this in both the bug section and here. You know why? Because the I am starting to doubt that Mr. Hrouda and other dungeon designer are reading the bug forum more than the dungeon forum. I’ve posted the same bug reports there when diminishing return was broken last week and it seems nothing was fixed.

I am certainly happy that you made the token system more rewarding and CoF more balanced but it still boggles me that I keep getting hit by the D.R. out of nowhere.

I did TA dungeons earlier with friends. We picked two completely different paths and both completed in over 40~45 minutes each. We got slapped with diminished reward on our second run.
I posted in bug report already and I hope Anet is taking this in consideration. Whatever you did with this patch was rushed and untested. Please admit your mistake and fix these ASAP before even more people drop this game.

Just finished doing Twilight Arbor dungeon with my guildmates. For our first run we picked Up + Up as our path and for the second run we chose Forward + Up.

First run gave us 7 silver 50 copper + roughly 133k exp ( dont remember the exact )
Second run gave us 6 silver ~ + 30k~ exp

Both runs took us at least 40~45 minutes to complete and we did this consecutively.

I don’t have screenshots to prove this but please look into your code again and fix this. You guys clearly rushed out this “nerf” system without much testing and now we as the players are losing fun factors. I suggest other people post as well if they experience the same issue.

The trading post have a terrible glitch that sell the wrong item in my inventory. Here is what happened:

1) I have item A in my inventory and I want to do a price check on it, so I right clicked in inventory menu and do Sell on trading post. I did not want to sell item A at all!
2) Trading post menu pops up and show me the price as usual. No problem.
3) Now, still in the trading post menu’s Sell My Stuff page, I click on item B to sell it.
4) I double checked all the prices and it fit item B’s buy order and listing stats. I was under the assumption that I was selling item B.
5) I click sell to highest buy order for item B.
6) Trading post suddenly went back, took item A and sold it to the highest buy order.

I am now at a loss of gold from this glitch. I would like if possible for my item to be returned (Mystic Forge Conduit). I do not need the gold that the trading post sent me because it was not a transaction of my consent whatsoever. I have already sent a ticket as well.
