It will make a group of people happy, and another group still unhappy. Mostly cause they don’t want an extra character slot, they want 800 gems. I’d call this a minor victory. Good news is they are refunding new purchasers from a certain timeline. Read it to learn more. Congrats guys!! xD

Actually, you only get the extra character slot IF you pre-order the game. That being said, it’s not a veteran reward, it’s pre-order reward.

Also, while we’re talking about extra character slots, pre-ordering kind of makes the more expensive versions of the game mundane, doesn’kitten Looking at them, for what you get, it’s hardly worth the money and definitely isn’t if you already get an extra slot anyway (unless you want two, in which case, cheers!)

But seriously, Anet. With the experience you guys have, how are you doing this badly? Most disappointing, truly.

I think they get it by now. Old players are upset that they don’t get stuff equal to the value that new players get. It suck, I know.

Simple solution:
If you don’t like the price – don’t buy anything. I’m not, not yet anyway. Not until they change it to something I’m willing to agree with.

I agree and I’m completely with you on this. Unless Anet changes their policy, there’s no way that I’m buying their “expansion”.

With the argument going on in this thread, if you go to a restaurant and notice a loogie sitting on your steak, you should just happily eat it because it’s not actually harmful to you anyway. Besides, the amount of effort and time the chef would have to put into making you a new steak would just be too big of a deal and bothersome. It also appears that if the customer does complain and returns the steak, it’s perfectly okay to say you’ll do something about it and then come back some hours later, shrug and say nothing can be done about it.

Honestly, when did complaining about issues and bad service concerning a product you paid for become a taboo?

I’d also like to throw in the idea that if you look at the amount of time people put into completing the monthly achievement… two days. That’s how many hours? Maybe eight? Minimum wage is around 6€/h, I suppose. 8*6 = 48 euros. Now, multiply that by the amount of people having the issue and you’ll end up with a rough image of the cost of wasted time. Not to say that all the people would have been working instead, but you get the picture, yeah?

Of course, the more you work, the more precious your time off becomes. No one wants to waste it.

This is extremely irritating. You can’t even thank people properly during an event for resurrections, so if you don’t want to be impolite, better make sure you don’t get downed more than three times in an hour or so.

I found that this also happens with mail. You can’t send two mails to the same person in a row and seeing how I was just trying to mail a friend the armor set she asked me to craft for her, this just plain stinks.

I bought a few level 40 swords from the Trading house and I’m unable to salvage them. I have plenty of inventory space and I tried with two different kinds of salvage kits (crude and basic).

The worst achievement I’ve had the displeasure of attempting to “achieve”.
