- Does the lag only happen while you’re in a PvP map? Does it also occur in the PvP lobby? Other maps?
I’ve only been playing PvE, so I can’t tell if it’s affecting PvP or WvW for me or not. - How long does the lag spike last? Does it ever clear up?
4-5 seconds usually, but they sometimes come in bursts a few seconds apart, before subsiding for a while. - Of your last 5 GW2 play sessions, in how many of them did you experience lag?
2-3, not entirely sure. - Are there specific times of day when do or you don’t experience lag?
Not that I’ve noticed. - When do you remember first experiencing lag of this severity in GW2?
In the last couple of weeks. - Do you also experience lag playing other games? NCsoft games like Wildstar?
The only other game I play is Guild Wars 1, and yes, I’m having similar lag spikes there. In fact, it’s probably worse in GW1. - Do you live in NA or EU?
NA - Are you playing on NA or EU servers?
NA - Was your account ORIGINALLY created on NA or EU?
EU

I was just looking at the releases page of the website to see if any new info (or a wallpaper – I download the wallpapers from all the release pages to add to my screensaver lol) on the Entanglement release yet, and I spotted a typo – someone’s labelled Season 1 as Season 2 on the release summary page

White mantle are humans which are already skinned for the game.
White Mantle are already in GW2, albeit only with a small role in one of the human personal story lines (the Unknown Parents option for anyone wondering).
EDIT: Actually, I guess if you count their ghosts, there’s some around the Aurora’s Remains area of Brisban Wildlands too, including the Demagogue.

Ok, I’ll pitch back in – so far, in the ones that have given me credit, I’ve run the entire race start to finish, and finished 3rd or better (1st once, 3rd twice).
The first race (where I joined part way through) gave me no credit, but did give me a warning up saying that this would be considered a practice run and that I would get no rewards – so I wasn’t really expecting that one to count for the achievement anyway.
For all the other full races I’ve completed, (4-5 now, I forget exactly as it was last night) I’ve definitely finished 4th or lower, and not gotten any credit for the achievement.
“The same thing we do every night, Ogden. Try to take over the world!”
It only seems to be counting towards the achievement if you finish in the top three, despite the wording suggesting you only have to complete the race. So one way or the other, it’s bugged – either the wording on the achievement needs fixing, or the achievement itself needs fixing to count if you finish 4th or lower.

Bit late to this party, but I have to agree with my server-mates from FA – that matchup was the most fun I’ve had in WvW this entire tournament. So I hope we get more match ups against your two servers soon

The ArenaNet tag functions the same as a guild tag, because it is one. To fly the tag, we have to rep the ArenaNet guild. So, no, we can’t rep a guild and display the tag at the same time. Anywhere you would normally see somebody’s guild tag, you would see the ArenaNet tag, if an employee is representing the company guild.
Can I get a guild invite please?
You can fill out our guild application here: http://www.arena.net/#careers
As it happens, I applied for that Data Analyst role long before I ever saw this post Mark. hint hint

I loved the old login screen too. While waiting for betas to start, I would sometimes load up the screen to listen to the music and stare >.>.
Nice to know I wasn’t the only one…

Thanks for the ideas, but to be honest, I’m not going to mess around like that just for a handful of achievement points I’ve already gotten the wings from doing dailies, so while the extra points would be nice, it’s hardly the end of the world
“The same thing we do every night, Ogden. Try to take over the world!”
Ok, tried it again last night seen as I was down in Sparkfly Fen anyway, and even after killing everything around the rock the tooth is on (including a couple of electric fish that had spawned right inside the rock) I still can’t interact with it. So unfortunately, that suggestion isn’t working for me either.
“The same thing we do every night, Ogden. Try to take over the world!”
Yup, same problem here with the underwater tooth. I’ve also had an issue with one of the scales in Frostgorge Sound, so that’s 2 achievements in this Living World release that can’t be completed if you get this bug…
“The same thing we do every night, Ogden. Try to take over the world!”
Yeah, given that my laptop can only run at 1366×768, this is even more of an issue for me – I used to be able to quickly bring up my friends list to check who was online without it obscuring the entire screen, meaning I could keep an eye on whether I was being attacked or not, now it’s almost impossible. Please put the minimum size back to the original, smaller value. I expect this change is due to the new LFG tool, in which case I would suggest that, if you really can’t make THAT smaller, it needs to be it’s own UI rather than trying to make it a part of the existing one.

Hi,
I’ve done a search for this, and can’t find anything that includes this particular issue on the forums, so thought it best to post a new topic. The problem seems to be that after (almost) every patch, and randomly at other times (including just now, even though there’s been no patch, hence my creating this post), I get the message “You are not in a guild” when I try to use guild chat. From some tests I’ve done, I know the game still considers me to be IN the guild seen as I continue to contribute influence (tested by representing my own personal guild, of which I’m the only member, so no-one else could be contributing that influence) I’m just unable to talk in guild chat.
Sometimes closing the game client and logging back in fixes this, other times (like now) it’s made no difference. Changing which guild I’m representing hasn’t helped ever that I can remember, nor has changing characters.
So, I’m wondering if this is a known bug, and if there’s any work being done on fixing this issue?
Thanks,
Rob.

I’ve just tried searching the forums on this, and can’t find anything that specifically helps on this subject, so I thought I’d post it here – apologies if it’s a duplicate.
What I’d like to see is ALL merchants sell all levels of tools (and salvage kits as well, for completeness) that the character in question is able to use. I’ve just spent 20-30 minutes running around Brisban Wildlands trying to find a merchant that would sell my lvl 80 guardian an iron harvesting sickle, but due to the character’s level, I was unable to find a single one that would sell me anything lower than mithril tools, which is completely overkill for a zone intended for level 15-25.
So, while I can see a case for allowing characters to purchase higher level tools than they really need (some people might prefer to use just one set of tools so they don’t have to keep switching them around as they move around the zones) at least allow those of us who want to use the appropriate tools for the materials we’re collecting, to buy the tools we want from any merchant that sells kits and tools in the first place.

Maybe not the most original, but this is my namesake, Narn, in his heritage gear, using Midnight Fire/White Gold dyes for most of it, with the shirt in Celestial, and the boots in just plain ol’ black

Okay, we’ve wiggled the cable. Please try again.
If it doesn’t work, please try changing maps again.
Thanks!!
Have to say, that’s the best response ever, unfortunately it doesn’t seem to have helped everything – I’m on Aurora Glade and I can’t talk in Guild Chat at all. Re-logging, re-zoning, changing characters, standing down and re-representing, nothing works. So can you take another look at that cable and see if it’s come loose again please?
They need to use duck tape…that works on everything.
Yup, and that’s because duck tape is like The Force… it has two sides and binds the universe together

If I remember correctly, it’s not a “bug” as such – it’s just not something they included in the game. For some reason it never occurred to them that those of us who enjoy playing with pets might want each pet to have it’s own name. So while I don’t think it counts as a bug, it’s certainly a feature I think they should add, so I’ll add my vote to this request to have it included in the game!
