I had the same on my warrior for several days (on the same spot as yours) and it was bugging me. I tried to figure it out and then I got on my ranger to see if it’s on all characters. On my ranger the event was popping up at different location (see pic). When I logged out and back in it dissipated but it was at Divinity’s Reach Kormir Low road in the middle where i am at on mini map.
It must be some bug
I have this exact same bug too. An event on my map that doesn’t seem to exist. I’m on the bottom level of the city and the minimap indicator says that it is below me.

I’ve been playing a Mesmer with the mindset that it is my ‘primary’ toon since Early Access, and probably still continue to consider it my primary toon.
My Mes, for some reason, is still primarily what I take through new content first, not because its fun, but because it is and was my first and ‘main’ toon.
It is one of the 2 toons I have map completion on. (I know, sucks to be me.)
Though I’ve since leveled and geared 4 other 80’s to actually ‘play’ and enjoy the various aspects of the game with (WvW, PVP, Dungeons, etc.,) (I have a Guardian, Necro, Ele, and yes, even a Ranger.) I eagerly await the arrival of new patch notes, looking for some indication that they will fix this class to be back what it was during release, where clones actually seemed to mean something.
I guess maybe one of the logical reasons why I continue to play my Mes might be best described in quote from a famous speech.

For fun, I just checked some stats, and even in /deaths, it reveals the most on my Mesmer by a long shot. Scarily, the amount of deaths on my Mesmer to all of my other toons combined is 3:1.
So yeah, “Why do I still play a Mesmer” might be a good question. Maybe I’m masochistic. I just don’t know.
Still having the same probs on my Guardian too.
Sometimes a simple waypoint works, other times I have to log out completely.
It’s not the GS casting sound itself, but the terrible sound it makes when it hits a target.
Please remove the ‘cat scratching on paper’ sound from my Mesmer. The GS casting sound by itself is fine, but the scratching when it hits a target is super annoying.

The point would be that the aNet could probably do a better job of timing their downtime (even regionally) to coincide with the off-hours of their primary user bases respectively.
Glad to see that they got their patch download started, now its just a waiting game for most of us.

Does anybody else find it inconvenient and possibly poor planning to have such large/major patches drop during prime-time 5-10pm?
Maybe it has to do with the fact that having the majority of your userbase all pounding away on your servers to download the fresh content all at once causes them to behave as if they were experiencing a D.O.S. attack.
It couldn’t have been their intention to have their major US player base ‘offline’, on a Friday night, during their big event launch. If they’d planned their code release earlier in the day, they would have spread their download ‘load’ across the day better. Maybe they would have been better off to eat some crow, and delayed until late-late night/early morning to have a smooth launch and saved their players from not playing at all. Players that are playin’ can’t be complainin’…. Good Luck aNet in getting these back online.

I too, just received a reply to my ticket saying that my items were restored on Friday.
This is NOT the case.I also just received an in-game email to one of my characters.
This new email says it is 3 weeks old.
It says : “Special Item Delivery. Please find attached these special items for you to enjoy.”However there is nothing in the in-game mail.
It was empty.I am still missing Miniture Rytlock, Tome of Influence & Challice of Glory.

Hey GaileGray,
I have received a 2nd in-game message this afternoon with the 3 missing items attached.
However, it appears that the Tome of Influence is still not working, as the item does not execute, and/or the influence has not been registered to my guilds total.
As stated before, I executed the Tome of Influence on my previous character (and it disappeared), but the 1000 influence was not actually applied to my guilds total, as shown (or not shown) in the guild history log.
I have responded to the ticket as requested to keep the status in an ‘Updated’ state.

NateSorry, Nate, I don’t know a date for that yet, but I do know the team is aware that this will need to take place. I just want to say again that this is a one-time offer, and players need to be sure they do not request twice, and that they always keep enough space in their inventory to store the items, because the replacement run could be made at any time.

These 2 tickets have not yet been resolved. They cover basically the same topic.

The second ticket was created due to a suggestion to create a new one if my problem hadn’t been resolved by the 29th.
Anyway, I keep receiving basically canned responses asking for me to reply if my issues are still a problem. (as fixes come out, did it fix my issue?)
No, my main issues still persist and are;
- Missing Tome of Influence, that I used for my current guild, but did not actually receive the influence, possibly due to guild problems early on?
- Missing Miniature Rytlock pet, due to deleting the character while attempting to resolve the guild panel problems myself.
- Missing Chalice of Glory, due to deleting the same character while attempting to resolve the guild panel problems myself.
Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

I just received this response to my question about the missing items:
“While we would like to replace your items, the Guild Wars Support Team is unable to replace individual items or characters in the manner that you are describing. We simply do not have the tools to provide this service at this time.”
It’d be nice to get them back, especially since it was one of the driving reasons for having pre-paid. I wonder what I need to do to reach the success as reported by other users?
