all yellow (rare) or orange (exotic) PvP reward boxes give you one (or two if orange exotic perhaps?) give you shards of glory.
or you want more?
Thanks! I’ve been doing the Halloween one so it hasn’t given me any :P
Precursor hunt ^^
Going for Spark ^>^
I think it’s in the graveyard of North-east Queensdale.
Will the Halloween living story continue for another 2 weeks after the current living story ends?
Yep upgraded one from shop just next to that waterfall
Thank you very much!
Do you need to use a torch on the firm waterfall that’s blocking the first checkpoint in world 2 zone 3?
I’m having problems with getting to the first checkpoint in zone 3 world 2. I reached a firm waterfall and the checkpoint is behind it, does anybody know how to pass that waterfall?
What will happen to them with the upcoming update?
It’s the last daily I need and for some reason there is no daily achievement of the jubilee.
Will I be able to download GW2 during the maintenance?
Just getting a new laptop today and I was wondering whether the maintenance will affect the download option or not.
1. I’m gonna buy a laptop and I wanna know how well it will run gw2, if I’ll be able to run it on high or on the highest graphics, etc. Here are the specs:
- Intel Core i5-3230M
– 2.6GHz-3.2GHz
– 6MB Cache Memory
– 4GB, can be upgraded up to 16GB.
– 750GB
– 7200RPM
– NVIDIA GeForce GT 740M, 2GB DDR3
– 1920×1080
– 15.6’’
2. And another questions is, is it necessary for that laptop to also expand the 4GB to 8GB in order to run things better? Or is 4GB enough? Because I won’t be running that many programs at the same time. I’ll probably run GW2, Skype, TS, a browser and iTunes simultaneously and that’s it. So do I need to buy an expansion?
I’m planning on buying an ASUS N56VB-S4022H, and I was wondering whether it’ll be able to run GW2 smoothly or not. Here are the specs:
- Intel Core i5-3230M
- 2.6GHz-3.2GHz
- 6MB Cache Memory
- 4GB, can be upgraded up to 16GB.
- 750GB
- 7200RPM
- NVIDIA GeForce GT 740M, 2GB DDR3
- 1920×1080
- 15.6’’
Thank you very much for the help!
Am I the only one who can’t log in the game? I dced a few minutes ago and can’t log back in
GW2 can be demanding at times. Best thing to do is buy a cooling pad to put the laptop on. Heat will always be an issue with laptops; always keep some compressed air handy to clean out the vents.
Also, never place the laptop on any soft surfaces (like your bed). The sheets/blankets can easily block air intake vents and lead to overheating.Look at something like this for a cooling pad.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834991161I have owned ASUS in the past, while it got hot, never had a issue with overheating. My last one was an ASUS G50vt and it was a trooper. I recently bought a Sager and spec’ed it out to be on the higher end of gaming laptops. I believe ASUS uses a similar case design as this (2 rear vent ports) and it does a good job of keeping it cool.
Thank you very much sir ^^ You helped me a lot
I’d love to have more opinions though, so please comment if you know anything about it :P
Yes. Shouldn’t be an issue. Max out at 60+fps all the time; maybe not. I would recommend also upgrading to 8GB of RAM. Generally ASUS has put the extra RAM slot under the keyboard, if it is not along side the other piece of ram. Either way, it usually isn’t a big deal.
I’ve been gaming on Laptops since 2008; the portability is nice as I can travel quiet a bit during the year.
Do you suffer from heating issues? Because my friend has Asus as well and he has problems with games like Assassins’ Creed 3 and Crysis 3, but I don’t know if they have the same requirements as GW2.
I wanna buy a new laptop, and as a person who plays GW2, I’m looking for one that will work fine and will not over heat when playing GW2 on normal settings at least.
The Specs are:
- Asus N56VB-S4022H
- Intel® Core™ i5 3230M Processor, 2.6GHz – up to 3.2 GHz, 3MB Cache
- 4GB DDR3 1600MHz (1 × 4096 MB), Up to 8 GB
- 750GB (SATA) 7200rpm
- 15.6’’ Full HD (1920×1080) Wide View Angle LED Backlight
- NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 740M with 2GB DDR3 VRAM
- 6-Cells 5200 mAh 56 Whrs
- 2.7 kg (with 6 cell battery)
I found it quite good but I really need more opinions. What do you think?
i’m running alienware laptop with same spec but 6Gb ram.
i’m telling you doesnt matter what spec your laptop is it’ll overheat in 3h game play.
so if you gonna buy a laptop for gaming, prepare yourself. the bigger your laptop (17>, the less heating it’ll get. but i dont recommend getting 17> because its wont be mobility and u should rather get a desktop.as for the laptop spec, it can handle GW2 at normal graphic fine. if u want to run GW2 at max setting, it’ll overheat faster, can be around 2h of game play.
So are you saying that if I play GW2 on that computer on normal settings it will overheat in a few hours?
In my search for a new laptop, I found Asus S56CB-XO046H UltraBook. Albeit its good properties, I’m concerned about it being an Ultrabook. I’ve heard complaints about Asus’ laptops having some heating issues and I wanna know how well the Ultrabook will handle GW2, I really don’t want to suffer from a heated keyboard or over-heating issues. What scares me is the low price for such good properties:
- It costs about $1100
- Intel® Core™ i7-3537U Processor 4M Cache, 2.0GHz up to 3.10 GHz
- 750GB 5400RPM + 24GB SSD Cache
- 4GB DDR3 1600MHz (1 × 4096 MB), 2 x SO-DIMM socket for expansion up to 8 GB
- 15.6’’ 16:9 HD (1366×768) LED Backlight
- NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 740M with 2GB DDR3 VRAM
- Windows 8 64Bit
- 2.30 kg
- 4 Cells 2950 mAh 44 Whrs
How well will it survive GW2?
Some have been telling me CS or Southsun but I don’t know which one is better or if there is an even better place for farming t6 materials.
The Dragon, tbh, reminds me of Kralkatorrik whom you can see asleep next to Doomlore Shrine in GW1.
I can’t play as well.. I have so many dc’s and crashes and once I has a black screen..
Is anybody else having them? I just can’t play at all since the new build of April 1st..
It’s a nightmare -.-
I got that now as well, that build has so many crash issues..
Since the new build that was implemented today I keep getting random disconnections or crashes. Sometimes after 1 minutes and sometimes after 1 hour. I just got 3 disconnections and a crash consecutively.
I have had some kinds of errors and two of them are Error 7 and 14.
Please fix this, thank you.
Edit: It’s becoming more and more frequent :\ ..
Edit 2: I have random black screens now that force me to restart guildwars..
