Extremly boring match this week. UW not present and hardly any small roaming groups from AG. Season 1 cant end soon enough.

Purging flames incorrectly displays -33% condition duration, instead of -20% in tool tips.

Glacial Heart still has internal cooldown although it no longer states one in tooltips.

Healing Breeze displays wrong (old) base ally heal.

Next Guardian patch: Major tooltip fixes! yay…

Yeah, tooltips does seem to be a bit off. absolute resolution displays healing per 3s and virtue of resolve is 1 dispalyed as per 1 sec. Also the numbers are wrong: displays 535(3s) but heals for 567(3s) in my setup.

Most 80s will kill an upscaled character quite easy. If you want to level in wvw you better run in a group. Most xp comes from keeps/towers/camps.

Just increase the droprate of the wxp consumables (tbh it should be guaranted from a solokill). A bit alt un-friendly is good imo. Otherwise people just switch from one fotm class to the next. With a reasonable powergap people tend to stick to the character they have invested most in even in times of nerfs.

Status of RoS wvw nowdays? We are a couple of people coming back to the game and are spread out on two very high pop servers. Free transfer to RoS is interesting. Last few posts in this thread indicate some setbacks in wvw pop tho…

Why are people focusing on Trinkets? 160ish extra stats? Why you ask?

If you bother to read my post you see that I compare the trinkets to the world rank stat buffs. People claim they can never use it because the dont have trinkets yet. Personally, I’m getting 2500 hp before i get all the trinkets (already have 2 from before wxp was introduced and i took a break).

Why is everyone focusing on ascendant trinkets? Buying all trinkets gives you 160ish extra stats over exotic. Same amount of laurels gives you 90 world ranks, for me enough to get applied fortitude and 250 extra stats max 5 min after i join wvw. Good addition that makes it easier to reach rank 115/230 if you prefer that over the ascendant items.

I mostly ran solo yesterday and had some nice 1v1 encounters with both VS and AS players. Always nice to find people outside of the main keep/tower attack.

LOL. Seems you’re the one that’s blind here my friend if you consider T1 to be the most competitive, and therefore where the majority of good players are.
As you seem to base your assumption of competitiveness on ranking, and thereby points, then t1 is in fact one of the least competitive matchups as Blacktide are steamrolling their opposition compared to others that have a far closer scoreline and thereby a much more competitive matchup. T8 is far more competitive than T1 as those servers have far closer scores, any of them could win without anything too outlandish happening, whereas Blacktide have almost guaranteed the win unless they all quit.

Know why your servers are T1? Coverage, nothing more, yes you may have a fair amount of good players/guilds amongst the masses but to assume being in the higher tiers means you have a higher average skill level is indeed delusional.

As everyone know matches are won during offpeak hours. Thus, rank has little to do with skill. However, the amount of organised guilds/groups during EU primetime has been alot greater from T2 and up. My gaming experience has been alot better in T2 and T1 than in any of the lower tiers due to a higher “low” standard.

I played Sunday night on Blacktide – stayed with the ‘zerg’ (aka loose shambles that had little coordination and little leadership. Blacktide zerg lost 9 times out of 10.

Went back to Seafarers on Monday – followed commanders instructions. Seafarers won 9 fights out of 10.

SFR may be far lower pop but its a kitten sight better than BT.

Then we have different experiences. I enter the borderlands my guild is in and so far the quality of SFR is not better, or worse, than other servers I have been up against. You have some really good guilds, some avarage and some quite bad; just as most other servers do. In my oppinion, none of the servers have “stomped” any of the other, in terms of fighting, during my playtime (19-22 CET). WvW would be much better if people focused on fights instead of score.

Why do people even bother about points? Pvp is about fighting, not some lame kitten score mechnic. As for SFR “stomping” BT in primetime, it is not something I have seen in the borderlands I have played in. In fact, desolation was a much tougher opponent in “primetime” last week than SFR. SFR have some really good guilds for sure but in general they are not better (or worse) than other servers we have faced.
