I recently finished world completion, ending in Lions Arch. I received the chest and my gifts of exploration and on the title screen it says that my Guardian has 100% completion. However on the achievement, I have 99%. The only thing I am missing is 1 waypoint which is said to be in Plains of Ashford however after 20 minutes of searching it is nowhere to be found. Despite having the gifts of exploration from 100%ing the world, I have no title or star because of this seemingly non-existant waypoint.
This was brought to my head after a few incidents with friends and most recently myself. I log onto Guild Wars 2 to play my warrior, and see her new Corrupted Skeggox again, only to have a panic attack as I frantically search my inventory for it. After I scour all my bags and the bank, to no avail, I try and think of where the heck my weapon could have gone. My only thought is, after I equipped my greatsword from my invisible bag to run a dungeon, my offhand went into the slot the greatsword occupied. This meant that my Skeggox went into a normal pack, and when I finished the dungeon to vendor I must have accidentally sold it.
If I had known at the time it would have been fine, I could use the buyback feature for its intended purpose, but I didn’t think much of vendoring what I thought were blues and greens. I logged off at that point, and even if I had instantly logged back in I wouldn’t have been able to rebuy it.
A couple of ways that this could be solved are:
- allow us to “lock” an item in our inventorys (for those of you who played DDO you know what I’m talking about) this way if we switch from two weapons to one, and our more valuable one happens to go into our pack we can still know that it is at no risk.
– Buyback could be for a period of time, and the list would not just cease to exist upon logging or zoning, in addition this list could be for every vendor not just the one you sold to.
– Change the color of exotic items. Sounds strange, I know but to someone who’s red-green colorblind the orange of exotic items and the green of uncommons can be VERY similar when vendoring all your loot after a dungeon run.
I realize this won’t affect everybody, as many people may not be as careless as me after when vendoring, and even if they are as careless they may not have swapped out dual weapons for a two hander. However these changes would not effect anyone negatively and I don’t think would be too hard to implement (especially the changing the color of the exotics). Anyone else had an experience like this?
I think that allowing players to “lock” items to they can’t be sold at vendors, or allowing players to buy any item they’ve sold to vendors for a day or so would be delightful. Equipping a two handed weapon for dungeon, then vendoring after the dungeon only to run it again could mean you lose a nice skin you spent 37+ gold on… (true story). Just so you know I do have invisible bags, but when you equip a two hander from dual weilding, only one of the items goes into the slot that the two hander was in your backpack.
This isn’t completely on topic, but it is about the Eidolon, more specifically the gift of light. Where/how did you farm the Charged Lodestones, as many people have said their prices have skyrocketed to the point that farming would most likely be more time efficient.
