Guild Wars 2

For those who seriously miss the original Guild Wars I highly recommend you come join the Reddit guild over at /r/guildwars (http://www.reddit.com/r/GuildWars/) We’re an active sub and an active alliance of about seventy people logging in every single day. We do events like screenshot contests, speed clears, dailies, missions, whatever you name we do it. We’ve also got Ventrilo where we talk to each other during missions and stuff and blast Taylor Swift. All in all we’re pretty chill yo.

Here’s just a list of things we’ve got going for us:
-We are absurdly active for a modern guild. We regularly clock in 60-70 people active within the last 47 hours (meaning they show up as being last active 1 day ago or less). That’s not people who are active occasionally, that is people you can actually expect to see around on any given day.
-We are really helpful. The other night Lilith (a guildie) mentioned she wanted to do Urgoz and Kanaxai. She’d never even attempted either one before. Within a couple of hours, she had killed Urgoz in HM. I forget who, but there was a guy who wanted to do Guardian of Elona, so Omg Land Shark went ahead and helped him with it. For like three hours. And of course pretty much every day someone asks for help with a mission real quick and they get it, but a lot of alliances can do that for a mission that’s only like 30 minutes long to begin with. Where we really shine is being helpful with the big stuff. On the spot. It’s really awesome and I didn’t know it was even possible, but apparently it is.
-We organize events. We had the Wintersday thing, and we have this whole thing we’re doing now. We do screenshot contests and March’s Mad Trivia thing that I’m doing now. Helpful guildies such as our speedclear expert Medi, teach people how to speedclear stuff.
-Speaking of events, it should probably be mentioned that we have our whole Narwhal Empire thing, where we use the subreddit to organize events which anyone can participate in, even if they’re not part of the guild. You don’t have to leave your guild to be involved in our events!

The game is far from dead despite many people thinking it is. Tons of people were just back here for Wintersday filling up about twenty districts in Lion’s Arch. We’ve filled up our first guild in a month and we’re currently working on filling the rest of the alliance.

As the title mentions I am currently looking for a guild. Most of the guilds I have joined in this game seem to take themselves too seriously and are filled with bureaucracy.

I am looking for a group of active, friendly, individuals to do things with. I put emphasis on the “friendly” as I really want to feel welcome. Not just the occasional “Hello.” when logging on.

Lastly, size does not matter. The guild does not need to be large. But a community must be there. I am not interested in joining growing guilds.

I may be willing to transfer servers if server transfer is provided.

Hey. I was trying to download the new GW2 patch but it won’t let me. All it says is “Download failed! Please check your connection and try again.”.

Obviously my connection is fine, because I’m posting this, so does anyone have any idea what to do? I’ve tried the standard IT running as admin to no luck.

Hello! My friend and I are trying to migrate from a dead guild to somewhere more active and larger. We’d prefer a guild that ran dungeons often, does events, does WvW, and has a friendly, talkative community.

I myself will probably not be as active as my friend, but my friend will be much more active so it’s understandable if you just want to recruit her until I can join the bandwagon later.

-A website
-A decent sized roster full of active/chatty people. (Doesn’t have to be huge. Just not small.)
-An active VoIP of some kind (pref. Ventrilo)
-Lots of in-game events

-PvX
-Preferably non-elitist (I’m pro, but elitism sucks! :P) (This means no applications.)

I totally agree with you. It annoys me when I see people who are like; I LIKE FIRE SO I’M GOING TO PUT ON SIGNET OF FIRE AND ONLY STAY ATTUNED TO FIRE. The worst is those water eles that use staff and stick to water and think they’re a dedicated healer. There is no such thing as a dedicated healer in this game. People need to get over it. I personally use a staff or scepter/dagger, and I’m usually attuned to fire, and I have CoF armor so people mistake me for it, but believe me I use all attunes. If I don’t switch, I’m killing things too fast :P. Dragon’s Tooth is an insta-kill.

What makes us different? Pick your choice: We don’t submit ultra formal guild resumes, we’re elite without being elitist, we’re laid-back and have a lot of money and we drive Ferraris to work. We are some of the most knowledgeable about the games and their background story, we’re focused on these games and won’t transition out to the next popular game when it comes out. We’re dedicated and staying.

One of the top guilds from the original game, KSC has moved like many other guilds, to Guild Wars 2. We keep in GW2 what we have in the original, and that is a friendly, fun and experienced group helping make a fantastic community for a fantastic game. We’re aware that on websites like this there are a lot of guilds, and there will be even more unlisted and we’re also aware that most of those guilds will be gone or defunct after a little while. This guild and group of players has gone through a lot, and will continue to grow and lead the way in the future.

Home to members of both the world famous guilds Iron Legion Chef and Oliver Garden as our pet projects, we have fun on our downtime. We have Torrack Trivia, a Guild Wars based trivia game fairly regularly and the prizes are always worth a shot. We have screenshot contests, vent karaoke, and the Iron Legion Chef event.

Our goals are as varied as our members and we have people that play all the different roles. We’re a Guild Wars guild focused on the Guild Wars franchise, and though you’ll find a ton of people that play other games, these games are our focus. We have PvP, PvE, Lore Fanatics, Patrons and the rest, and I’m sure you’re going to find any number of people to connect with. To list off a few early goals, we plan on doing pretty well in PvP, and prove to be pretty promising when it comes to that.
