I did the HoT story and most of the new maps as full berserk. That being said I started to notice very few instances where I would be soloing anything, and most events worth doing have at least 5-6 people with 25 stacks of vuln on foes. A lot of times I would feel that the extra precision was wasted. The mega event in TD is the only thing I can think of that you’d want max damage at all times because it can fail if enough people don’t bring enough damage.
Zerk has less restrictions on doing the highest damage, but in HoT content I don’t think the trade off is too bad if you want to mix valk in. In dungeons I think the margin shrinks because buffs are more guaranteed.
Lets be real here. You’re not automatically God’s gift because you equip zerk in PvE, and insulting people for not doing so is silly. I could run around naked with just a staff and still get full credit and loot for everything. IT’S PVE MAN….PVE <In best Allen Iverson voice>. Now raids are a different story.
I figured this out finally. Besides the crashing when opening a map, and changing areas, my mouse would also extend into a black box or disappear. I found someone had the same problem and a solution for the last symptom, so I tried that and it cleared up everything.
If you have similar problems, and are using Precision X, disable or uninstall it. If you’re have an overclock, I recommend using an alternate method like Afterburner until EVGA fixes the issue.
I have the exact same issue, although I’ve only had the black box cursor a couple times.. It doesn’t always crash, but I’d say 3/4 times it does. The crash comes when I open the map or change zones.
I’ve tried disabling sli, adjusting my graphics settings, -repair, and none of them have worked. I submitted a ticket and a crash log but most of the time the driver crashes completely to black screen and I have to restart my PC manually.
I’m waiting on a new driver from Nvidia and hoping it fixes the issue. Until then I just log on and get the daily chest, because there’s not really anything I can do that wouldn’t require me to zone or open a map.
I made the same mistake. I thought, “Hey, lets mix it up a little.” Big mistake. I paid 4 gold and 500+ badges for inventory -4.
I’ve read that even with 100% crit there is still a small chance that you will not crit, but I’ve never run zerk or anything so I’m far from any authority on it. In my soldiers build I can tell you that life blast crits around half the time with only a base 4% crit chance.
Although I had a blast on my condition build, when the update came out I knew a lot of necros would be maxing spite making the bleed cap problem even worse. That’s when I decided to try out a different build. I have a soldier’s build with 30/0/10/0/30, d/d and staff. WvW is where I have seem the biggest difference, with people going down fairly easily.
Not sure if this is universal, but I’ve noticed since downing more people in 1v2s I really have a hard problem killing them. I’ll down 1 person like 2 or 3 times and the other person will always revive them. Is Foot in the Grave the only way to handle these encounters? I’m currently in love with Deathly Perception so idk if I could part with it. Could just be I need more practice with the build.
Ascended rings/earrings and back piece with fine infusions of +condition damage in the offensive slots. That could be it maybe?
Rabid, undead runes, no consumables or might gives me 126 a tick with 1664 condition damage. The numbers most seem to be posting are pretty consistent.
