I would go for the Digital Upgrade, Salvage-o-matic, and both home nodes (ore and lumber) as the first buy. They are decent quality-of-life stuff to keep around, and not that expensive.
At least one set of infinite gathering tools also is great, but they are not always available to buy (currently, they aren’t).
Extra inventory slots, characters, bank space, and extra ingredient bank stacks are all great, but may be expensive. Pay for it after you have the essential stuff.
Everything else is cosmetic or lottery.
I also don’t advise on buying dyes, boosts or transmutation charges. Those come easily in-game, or are cheap at the TP.
The fact that you are actually considering buying it is the mark that it suceeded on its intention.
Now go and buy it.
I would be fine with any explored area (Ie.: Cragstead, Terra Combusta, and others) being non-blurry, even if the PoI, wp, and vistas were “undiscovered” until you touch them.
Also, search for the best deity. Sometimes, a forgotten deity may give you bigger blessings for smaller sacrifices.
Hey, we’d all like it if the hairstyle kits were infinite-use, but for ArenaNet to change it at this point would be like burning money. People are still buying the kits, regardless.
Don’t need to be infinite use. Give us a window in the style tab, allow us to buy the individual hairstyles for 300-400 gems each, and it become an account-wide unlock. If you want to change an existing character, you should pay for the makeover kit as usual, but you get the new stuff on all your future characters.
I would be happy with a preview that don’t require me to buy the kit in the first place.
If you EVER plan to change hairstyles, keeping one in your bank is NOT impossible. A few BL key runs will likely nab you one for free…..
That is my point. Currently, I don’t plan to change hairstyles in any of my characters. Keeping those new styles behind a paywall with no way to look at it in-game gets no interest from me. For all I care, it could even not exist, and I will never miss it.
On the other hand, I also have no intention to buy the cosmetic armors from the gem store, but I took more time than I’m willing to admit previewing them and getting that itch that it “might be worth it” somehow. Specifically because I can preview them for free, any time I’m in game.
That is not even touching in the problem that even if I get a makeover kit, I must have at least 10 characters in my rooster to check out every possible combination. And keep switching characters while putting the kit in the bank to preview the rest.

My take on this issue is very simple: Armor theme should be consistent between all races and gender.
If a set of armor is supposed to be a bulk body-covering armor, it should be a bulk body-covering armor for male and female. Good example: Heavy Plate Armor
If a set is supposed to look skimpy, it should be skimpy for male and female. Good example: Tribal Armor
The only way to go wrong is if an armor set have a theme under one situation, and another theme under a different situation (being the most common case: Male bulky, Female skimpy). The Norn Wolf Armor is a good example of lack of theme. While the female armor is showing a lot of skin, the male armor is literally covered from head to toe.
It can even work with the mix-and-match armor style we have. If an armor set have a big oversized shoulder pad, it should maintain that big oversized shoulder pad in both genders and in all five races. So that way if we are skimming through the gem store or the TP, looking for skins in a character, we shouldn’t be surprised when that same skin is vastly different when we switch to another character.
Anet, do you have a plan for when the gold: gem ratio gets out of control? Because it’s on its way there.

US netizens should savour their unlimited download ISPs while they can. Bandwidth caps are in widespread use around the world and may be coming there too very soon. (It may already be implemented in some forms. Like how Comcast actually has a secret bandwidth throttle that kicks in after about 50GB, if I recall correctly.)
Brazil is out of the list. We passed a law that, between other things, makes bandwidth cap illegal.
I really hope the rest of the world follow the brazilian example soon. No one deserves to keep counting every bit that comes through their connection. Specially now that the trend is to make everything in your house have a internet connection (videogames, tv, cell phones, cars, etc).
