Guild Wars 2

Been playing Gw2 now for a bit .. I’m NOT a hardcore player I jump on for an hr or two when I can and play ..
I don’t like PvP I’m a PvE carebear.

I have been playing MMo’s for many yrs and have been in many different guilds .. I know what I’m looking for and what I don’t want ..

I don’t want to be a number
I don’t want to be in a guild with a bunch of kiddies
I don’t want to be in a pvp COD wanna be guild

I want to feel like a member of the guild
I want to be able to have a mature conversation
I want to have fun
I want to be in a guild where I feel like I’m part of a family

If I feel things are not working or I’m not happy I will leave the guild ..

Froody seams like the kinda guild I would enjoy.
I am an older gamer that has seen many MMo’s in my day and has been in many guilds where you are just a number.. along with 500 other members.

I like how you want to keep the guild small, and close nit. The best guilds I have been in where like that .. and with 10 mans coming with the xpac its a god thing.

I would name all the MMo’s I have played but it would be easier to say name it and I have played it haha..
However I have only max leveled on a few.
Those being WoW (of course :P) FFxiv, and hopefully GW2 all the others have not kept my attention long enough.

I always say a guild makes the game, get in with some good people and the fun level is priceless.

I’m in the US and my time zone is EDT (Eastern)
I am a casual player, and don’t really have a time when I get on .. could be in the morning . Could be in the evening or afternoon.

When I play an MMo I always look for a close nit family like small guild
No clue what server I am on though.. but I am mostly PvE anyway.. not really into PvP.

You people make absolutely no GD sense .. You know that …
You all do realize for the past O I donno 10+ yrs wow and other games like it have been selling there xpacks for $60… And even more if you want the CE !!!
And those games where paid subs! Rofl .. So along with paying monthly .. You also had to pay for the xpacks.. If you wanted to keep up with the story and content.

Here you guys are complaining about a game that has been F* FREE!!! For the past 3 yrs
Do the math 15$ x 36 months = $530 bucks you all just saved by playing GW2..
And your complaining about $50!?

This thread has to be the most WTF thread I have ever read..
I personally havnt played GW2 since launch .. I just got back into playing .. Coming from 5+ yrs of wow and FFxiv I have ABSOLUTELY no issue with 50 bucks for an xpac.

You all seriously need to grow up .. Or get better jobs.. Or not be into the MMo genre.. These games cost money.. They arnt single player games..
Course now a days single player have DLC ..

The Devs have families and a life to you know .. What did you all want a 10$ xpac..
And don’t go shooting off by saying well.. gw2 has a cash shop .. they get plenty bla bla bla ..
Ya and so does WoW.. Swtor.. FFxiv and every other ficken MMO out there sub and non sub .. They still charge 50-60 bucks for an xpac lol
The only mmos that don’t charge that for xpacs are the ones that are normally crap .. Or very old.

Like I said .. Grow up guys .. The core game being included or not .. $50 for an xpac is a perfectly normal price range IMO

Ty for the reply .. Most of the research I did online I could only find things that’s where 2yrs old .. The newest info I could find was 6 months .. Might of been my own fault for the searches I where doing .. But again ty ..

Hello guys/gals
I havnt played GW2 since release .. And decided after all this time to pick it up again ..
Might as well call me a new player.. The highest lv I got was 2 rofl..

Anyway.. I decided to go with a warrior after much research online about soloing and survivability.. Warrior seamed like a good fit..
However.. I am continuing to research online and it seames that warrior is kinda meh when it comes to engame.. And pretty mind numbing when leveling..

I was thinking of trying a ranger instead.. But I hear the ai for the pet is not very good.

I’m no stranger to MMo’s or real action (twitch) combat.
Elemental seams like its a tad to involved for me.

And every other class I looked up seamed to have mixed reviews about skill level while playing.
Obviously opinions will very depending on each player..

But my question is this..
I would like to stick to the warrior .. I like feeling strong and hard to kill.. I have had my fair share of classes that fall over dead from a strong breeze.
If I end up making it to end game especially with raids coming.. Is the warrior a class that will be booted from groups as soon as its seen?
Is the damage output really as bad as I have read?

Overall I’m looking for a class where the survivability is above average.. The dmg output is good and viable.. And I don’t have to kite mobs around the rosey (never did like kiting)
The main class I played most is from wow was the warlock .. So that’s about as much complexity as I would like.. Anymore and my brain starts hurting lol.. I’m old
And I mean from BC and wrath days.. Not the faceroll it is now.
Overall I’m just looking for suggestions and opinions from those who have played through PvE and endgame stuff.. Not a big PVP.
