Like xXxOrcaxXx.9328 said. Loading times can make yo to miss an event. I have a nice computer, and because it, i play with everthing maxed, but the load time is worse than my older computer because that. Borderlands is a nice example: the game load first the low-textures, then load the hi-res while playing. (The game already do that with sounds). Of course, this should be an option.

Aerial mounts makes no sense on WvW because Bron said. But its a wonderful feature for “Generals” and “Commanders”. That’s it, how nice to show your excelent mount, exclusive because hard work. That give you some respect if you earn it.

CDI- Character Progression- Vertical

Instead of stats progression, skills progression. Able to learn skills maybe from different weapons, in order to custom the skills. Using skills points to learn for it.

That give you two different objetive:

- Search all weapons to “extract” their skills
- Find the skills where you are more confortable for.

I want to develop further on my order i choose. Titles can be rewarding, also skins. Maybe a special haircut. Or a dance style! Maybe my order can give to me some bonus if i do an special quest that week. Or maybe i need to reunite with other people (not necesary from the same Guild) to do a special quest for the order.

But why we want to develop our character? To overcome better challenges:

+More choices for dungeons. Some kind of one-man route where you can test your character. Or a not limiting player number route. Or a competitive route where you “race” against other guild or group. There you can see the other group and decide to run as fast as possible, or give them troubles.

+A random dungeon (for example a tower, with random rooms with random enemies and events) You (and your group) go up (or down, two choices) when every time you clear a dungeon, you can choose to:

- Leave. Ok, thats it. Another people might fill that slot.
- Stay. Then you get a random boom like +%magic find, +%gold, etc but that character get a condition, +1% for example to damage.

So, every player have a different “bonus” depending how long they played.

I do like the stats progression (i know a lot of people doesnt), in somehow like Diablo, were you find the stats with a random number on it. So you are always trying to find the “perfect” item. But instead a huge different, maybe its just a little. Maybe something like Power: From 955-1005. So every drop counts, maybe can give you a little improvement. Not really neccesary, but is nice.

Why did they choose to keep portal zoning?

Instead of making Tyria one big seamless world why did they choose to keep using portal load screens from GW1? can anyone explain why?

This is a big reason why I stopped playing the game… it’s such an amazing looking world, but the zone lines and loading screens at every turn broke the immersion… could never really have flying mounts, which would have made the world that much more amazing.

Well, they can do a flying sky world (one big zone), then you able to go “down” if you want to a zone.

Listening to your Players

Listening =/= Do what we say.

Frankly, a majority of fan ideas are either 1) Terrible, 2) Poorly thought out, or 3) Both.

and 4) better than actually is on game

Nah, just go to the LFG tool, people are selling AC paths, COE paths ARAH paths (1,2,4) and it just blows my mind, WHY ?!?

Just think what’s money? Its basically time. Easy time to do things. Easy time to take tokens and a reward that might be an exotic.

As long as someone will pay, someone will pay. And since people love to have huge ammount of money….

Selling dungeon paths ... Your thoughts!

The problem is, a lot of people didnt dind dungeons fun. Mobs with too much health. Mobs hitting too much hard. Mechanics confusing for the first time, but at the end, no fun. No great reward also for the time invested also.

I’ve done arah with first timers, even Dwayna “for free”. All it takes is for people to listen. Nobody find the mobs hard if you have group synergy, you know … proper support/dps and tactics. Never felt I have to get payed, the dungeon reward is good enough.

Few days ago i did fractals 18 for the lvl 1 chest with a first timer with 0 agony resist. Didn’t feel the need to get payed etc :/

Of course. Some people find the dungeons fun (but not me, not my friends) also finds the mechanic fun (again, not bt me, not my friends, what the hell almost half of dungeon needs to be done “running” like chicks!!!) That’s why a better system (two different difficult tiers, better reward with more money, more chance to get better tokens, whatever) needs to be done, since the learning curve on dungeons are devastating (and to the end, not fun, very few dungeons I felt great to complete). Too much veteran enemies instead normal that only serve to waste time. Of course is my opinion (and again, my friends) and i can see dungeons are nor the “selling point” of this game. And thats a pity.

Anyway, back to topic, selling dungeons is a normal thing, if someone is going to buy it. Much like gold sellers.

Really trying to enjoy this game

Some people really enjoy not able to get more powerful equipment, but nice looking. Seems odd, since the game really can be resume to kill other things.

This game shares more to Sims, than the usual MMO. You need to give yourself an objetive. Maybe turning rich? Have a legendary? Run all the world? Run all dungeons? To have the bigger clan? The combat needs indeed a revamp, some classes are very boring (high cooldown, small active bonus)

Am i the only one that hasn't finished PS?

I’ve also never finished it. more than boring, its because “I dont care” effect. Seriously, I dont think this can be fixed, but the history is not interesing at all. Living history is a joke, not possible to get hooked on that stuff.

Why the storytelling isn't strong part of gw2

To me, seems to be two different ways to do historytelling. First, instance. And this is somewhat bad, because the only changes happend on that instance, not reflecting on the game. Maybe NPC’s should react different according your choices.

The other way is let player build his/her history. This can be made giving him choices, and that choices needs to be remembered. Some NPC’s will ignore to you, others will adore you. Maybe some npcs are killed, and cannot interacted with you character (but then you could with a different character) Maybe you can turn some enemies to neutral, and viceversa. If you killed a thousand of centaurs, maybe they offer some money for your head…

Anet have the mail system, with that can give you some more information, more contact with NPCs (asking for doing duties for them, for example) But instead only for global events, those emails custom because you personal history, and your bravery, etc.
