For pve leveling, run full power and precision gear. Buy new gear every 5 or 10 levels. For wvw, run toughness and vitality. Use a greatsword for damage and staff for swiftness and healing. Use shelter, save yourself, the aoe stability shout, retreat and renewed focus. Save yourself and retreat are used on cooldown for perma swiftness. Make sure to get shout cd reduction trait first. I wouldnt really do dungeons or anything until 80. Just quickly do map completion and when you get bored, do some pvp or wvw for a fun different kind of leveling

Ive led at least 4 or 5 kills today alone for tequatl on BG. And it’s been killed on other days and by other commanders like Amaryllie too. Seems like deso is pretty high up there too

can i see a video of u guys getting it with about 4 minutes left. trying to see some more strats to help improve BG’s time on it. Can only get it just under 3 minutes if we’re lucky

Was looking at the Digital Deluxe Upgrade in the gem store for 2,000 gems. It has the same items it always has, but now at the very bottom it says it will also include all items from the Guild Wars Heroic Edition. Anyone know what that is and what it includes? I never considered the upgrade worth the almost 100g conversion it would cost for it, but if the heroic items are good enough, i might consider it.

I tried it with a friend when i was the instance starter and i had everything normal for skills and weapons, but his was put away and he said he could just summon some random items on the ground to barely help out with. He would occasionally get items to stun or chill the boss, but nothing to hurt him. This is why i need a high level to be on the quest so that they can kill it

I’ve tried that already and unfortuantly, you will have no weapons. Only the person who starts the instance can fight. So i need someone who is on that story missions and is lvl 19+ so that they can start it

I am a rank 40 guardian looking for a tournament team. I have played only bunker guardian in tournaments since i started so that’s why my rank is so low. I played only pvp for the first 4 months of the game and was on a top 5 team (Just Leave [JL]) back when there was actually a lot of good pvp teams. I then got bored of nothing ever changing and moved on to WvW with my guardian. So while I have been out of the tournament scene for a bit, I have been pvping on my guardian every day still

I have 1,105 tournament games played on my guardian, and 801 tournament wins for a 72.5% win rate in tournaments. A little over 3,000 hours played as guardian. I can play anytime from 12pm est- about 2am est. I would like to join an already established team to try and get things moved on a little faster, but overall I am just looking for a very good and elite pvp team that needs a bunker guardian. If supply was enough of a reward, so many people wouldn’t complain about the lack of reward. And i doubt anyone who spends a majority of their time in wvw escorting/scouting agrees with the current lack of rewards

20 man groups would and did farm it for hours, regardless of what was going on in the map. you must be quite new to the game to not know it was around before.

Since you did not read it, I will shorten it for you. The idea is for a guild to claim the camp and assign a few people who will be able to receive rewards for it, so it can’t be botted or mass farmed by everyone. Idk what the limit would be, but it could be anywhere from maxing from 2 players to 5 per camp. Anyone outside of these 2-5 players would receive no reward

Trying to come up with a way to reward people who scout and escort yaks in this game has been a problem for a while now, so I came up with a base idea that can use a lot of discussion to make it perfect.

In the guild tab, under a low art of war level, probably 2 or 3, there is an upgrade for scouting and/or escorting yaks. When you unlock this upgrade, officers in the guild can assign 1 scout per tower, or 1 or 2 or 3 or whatever number escorts to a camp. The scouts in the tower have to stay within a certain range of the tower, but while they are in the range, they can tag an ally player and receive any karma, loot or exp they receive. It will only be 1 per tower, and the officer at any time can change scouts or remove the player if they r doing a poor job of scouting. If the scout is within a certain range of the player he tagged, the scout will not recieve the allies loot, only his own. The same can be applied to the camps, where any yaks in the camp will be given a few skills that only the players assigned by the officer can use. Haven’t thought of all the skills yet, but the 1 skill could be yak slap which gives it a movement speed buff, and wxp to the player using it, it is then put on a CD. Could be another skill that is like a 5 second stealth on the yak with a 40sec CD or something.

I’m going to try to explain some of the reasons behind a few of the things so people have more clarity and can better discuss it. The biggest problem with some of the stuff is bots/afkers and having no control over it. This is the idea of having to buy the upgrade in a low art of war level so that noob 1 man guilds/players can’t abuse it, but smaller guilds/scouts in their own guild who have a little influence can do it. You would probably need to claim the tower to be able to give ur members the ability to scout and receive rewards. This could cause some problems with claiming, but maybe in higher art of wars, u can unlock the ability to claim more than 1 tower. Little guilds shouldn’t need to claim more than 1 tower, but 500 man guilds could claim every tower on the map to scout what they need. It could even be separate claiming maybe. Keep the regular claiming like it is, then add a separate scout claiming so it doesn’t mess with people who need to buff a tower or if some random noob guild did claim it and won’t let go, but a different guild can still claim it to scout.

This is still just beginning ideas, but with some more people adding thought and ideas to it, I think it could turn into a really good idea to reward scouts/yak escorters.

I know i forgot a few things, so I will add more when i remember them, but feel free to point out any flaws or things u think could add to it

Not sure who was responsible for this, it wasn’t the player I had targeted but it was PRETTY obvious someone was using a zoom mod to kill siege in the tower. I sweeped the edge and there was no one around except the 50 or so at the gate. Someone was hitting way up inside the lords room!

I thought this might get put on the forums as i built and used the AC, so i took some screen shots of me using the ac to kill ur siege.

The first picture shows me getting numbers on the AC im shooting, but the smoke makes it hard to see. The second picture shows a little better the angle you can get which lets u aim at any siege not on the ground, and shooting up in the lords room was actually easiest from that spot if i looked a little more up

i was commanding during that, and we didn’t use any zoom hack. u can place an arrow cart outside of any gate and hit the 5 arrow carts u build behind every gate in the middle by aiming thru the little opening above the door. try building them more to the sides of the gate so they aren’t in view of the counter arrow carts we build

Sorry so you are saying if you can hit the AC ( about 4) that are far behind wall near supply zone by AC that is in front of the door is not Zoom hack. and how you can know that if noone in your zerg is not using it. strange all AC went down "OH cool no seige " is that what you said. 1 ac dropped at my feet ( u can actually drop it back and to the right a good bit farther so it’s out your AC range) and you can click on the siege and kill the 3 pieces of siege with 1 AC

I need 1 more rank to have enough points for increased balista range and i was wondering if anyone has it or knows how much extra range it actually gives. Im trying to decide between range increase or a second supply increase and how much the balista range increase is will decide it for me

Just Leave [JL] is recruiting members for EB WvW on Blackgate, with emphasis on the EB part. When you enter EB, it is almost always a pug fest with random commanders tagging in and out, and only occasionally a large guild comes in to run things. We want to change that and keep EB an organized place that you don’t have to worry about coming in and seeing that we only own our keep.

Talic and I are our 2 main commanders right now, but we are currently training a few others and if you EB even a little, you have probably seen us around. We started WvWing with just us, and learned to command through watching the other commanders and teaching ourselves. We have the superior strategies, we just need you to help put them into action.

Our guild started off being only a PvP guild for the first 3 months and we were a top 5 team for a while until we decided it was boring and not rewarding enough. So we moved to pve and then WvW. What does this mean? It means we spent 3 months looking up the absolute best builds for every class and every play style and we spent hundreds of hours testing them. Want to run any kind of tank, dps, or condi class? We can get you a build for it. We are working on our website right now but when it is up, we will have a full list of builds for ever single class.

What we have to offer:

1) 200 members and we are looking for a whole lot more.
2) Some of the best commanders, we have spent 99% of our time in EB.
3) Superior strats! We’re outnumbered? Outsieged? Not a problem. We know ways to beat the 100 man zerg fest of JQ and there’s no treb or siege we don’t know how to counter.

5) Part of the Blackgate war council
6) Guild Missions done weekly
7) We actively keep an eye on world bosses
8) Repping isn’t required, but it is appreciated. We don’t want to force you to only do 1 thing, with just us. Feel like popping into EB? Then just rep up and join in on us.

I play bunker guardian only, and i am looking for a NA pvp team. I used to play about 2 months ago on a competitive team, but we all moved to pve for something new and have pretty much stuck with it. I’m still ranked on the QP ladder without playing a single paid tourney in 2 months for what that counts for. I’m looking for a team that is good, all with QP’s and can work together and not fall apart with a loss. What is a tanky dps staff ele build for 40+ fractals. I don’t want to be glass cannon and die in 1 shot, but i dont want to be all tank and never kill anything. Any eles that are 40+ in fractals and have a good staff build they would like to share? Biggest thing i want to know is what armor and jewelry stats to go for

I just bought all 5 of them minipets and i also have a festivoo the merry, and im looking in the mystic forge and i notice u can put 4 of the minipets together to make something, or festivoo in alone and im guessing you put other festivoos in together. So has anyone combined any of these and know what they do?

the pvp gifts were the same backpack (but it had no stats and could still be worn in the back spot during pvp for the look), 5 snowman finishers, and 5 gift finishers

So i think many of us saved a lot of chests to open for christmas weapon skins like the ones you could get from chests from halloween. But after reading the patch notes and checking out the pvp lockers, are there no skins for christmas in pvp?

I’m looking though the patch notes and it looks like the 3 big things i was hoping for wasn’t listed. Fix for load screen bug, fix for fractal dungeon dc, and the rewards for getting dc’ed in the lost shore event. I don’t know if some weren’t listed, but i thought i heard talk that at least everything but the fix for fractals should be in this patch

lol, you haven’t even seen a serious pvper yet. I play mainly pvp on a guardian (tanky class that dies less than dps), and just look at my stats

80 guardian- 686 hours- 1,899 deaths.

I don’t even play as much as other people and I’m only rank 38 while there’s people in their 50’s now, who main thiefs and warrior and such. I can’t even imagine what their deaths and age are

so if getting BL kits from dailies isnt reliable enough, then i go back to my original post and question. What do you guys do

So i have just ran out of black lion salvage kits. I use them to salvage every lvl 70+ rare item i find trying to get ecto. Now im wondering, whats better, buy more BL kits with gems, use master salvage kits, or just sell the rares for about 30s on the TP.

I have gotten to fractal lvl 13 and have been having a lot of trouble with agony. I have been running a full condition short bow and trap spec (because i feel it does the most damage and the aoe is too good in the dungeon), but it makes me get too close to the bosses and i die to agony too fast. So im wondering what the good rangers who have like no problem in the higher lvl fractal dungeons r running. R u power/crit short bow, power/crit longbow, full condition damage? I just had to switch to a longbow spec because everything else made me stay in range of the agony.

The worst thing about it is that is also cut the heal u receive from it in half. I was healing for over 4k on a healing spec and now i do 2k

still need help

Sometimes when i try to alt tab back into the game, the edges of the screen start flickering and it still shows what ever tab i was on before alt tabbing, but it doesn’t bring up the game and i can’t alt tab back out or do anything else. I try to close the client by closing the window on the bottom of the screen but it doesn’t work, i also tried bringing up the task manager to close it, but it can’t get to the task manager because it refuses to leave the gw2 tab. Usually i can press ctl, alt, delete and press log off and it’ll work, but about half the times it can’t even get the log off screen to work. I can also still hear the music and sound when the bug if happening, i just can’t get the graphics to load.

I have the latest drivers, I’ve done memory tests, my graphic settings r on low, firewall is letting gw2 through, I’ve reinstalled gw2, so im out of ideas on what to do. I also have frequent problems with losing network connection and the game crashing even tho I’ll be in team speak or something and it wont dc me from it, just from gw2

that 2 spam. u seemed to try and use ur 3 a little, but unless ur completely speced into it and bleeding, ur better off pressing 2 more. u should also be using ur 7 skill in team fights to revive team mates instead of just downing people
